I found AC world Inc. after my AC went out in my 2005 Lincoln Town-car. Initially I was just going to try and brave it out but in this Florida heat it's literally impossible. I found AC World while searching the web. I read some reviews and decided to give them a try. I also liked the fact that they would diagnose the problem with no charge. Great service. My A/C started blowing out hot air and I called them immediately. They were able to see me right after I called. They checked my car and put some Freon in my AC system. I didn't have to get out of my car or anything. Came to find out my AC system was fine, just needed some Freon. Not charged a cent for their time in reviewing it. First let me say that I had visited 2 other places to identify what was wrong with my AC before coming to Candido. One being a Hyundai dealer, the other a location that had been recommended but was never able to get back to me with the details of the repairs needed. When I contacted Candido I was treated attentively and made to feel like a valued customer. He asked to bring the car in next morning and within the first 30 minutes was able to diagnose and quote me a fair price. I was there the whole time and he answered all my questions and walked me through what he was doing. I also met his brother, Pete (?). In the end, they did need to change out my evaporator which was leaking coolant, and meant completely dismantling my dash. The car was ready next day. That night the air wasn't cooling and I brought it back next morning. Turns out one of the old clamps wasn't holding anymore and radiator fluid was leaking from the heater hose. He fixed her up and was ready within a few hours. When I picked up the car he realized I was driving from the Hammocks. He said that if anything else came up, I could call him and he'd pick up the car..... I drove the car home and as of now, no issues. AC is working just fine. At Auto AC World they truly seem to be honest and want to make sure their work is done right. Having a car with no A/C in Florida is a stressful experience. However, Auto A/C World made it easy, extremely easy from start to finish. I came in at 8am my car was done by 3pm. The repair prices were extremely fair. Lastly, the customer service was amazing. They went far and beyond. To begin with, when I dropped off the car, they gave me a ride home. Then, when I picked up the car I saw that a couple lights on my dashboard were not working, instead of having me come back and drop of my car, they picked my car up at home, fixed the issue and dropped the car off, all within an hour and on the same day. I should mention that i live relatively close to their shop, I'm not certain if they can offer this kind of service to someone that lives further away. Most importantly, my a/c is working great. My sons 2014 infinity q50 was not cooling and the vents where not opening, sent him a message on Yelp and he replied within an hour, told me to bring it in the next day I was there was super nice explained everything to me and my son, after a full diagnostic it was the evaporator and aculators. Unlike other places he did not charge me anything to check it or push us to do the job either which that maid me go with him. Super professional and great service. They know what there doing. Came here after going to three different shops earlier today. First one told me they only worked on cars 8 years or newer. Second one did a quick inspection but said it was out out of their scope. Third one the mechanic wasn't even available. Arrived at 3 pm, was advised they'd look at it and diagnose free of charge. update 9/20/18: beware of this shop. everyone that would get in my car since 2016 would tell me the A/C was never fixed and hot air is all they felt when they got in my car. when i would go to Candi about this he would say it's fine and that during the day the A/C can only do so much to combat the heat and that nightime it would be fine. then sometime in 2017-2018 the A/C was completely broken again as not even the nighttime was cold anymore, so i had to spend almost the same amount of money $700+ all over again. this time a friend of mine recommended a local guy who has a shop in his home and said this guy would fix my A/C problem once and for all and he did because now everyone who gets in my car says it's actually fixed now. he actually showed me the brand new compressor and all the parts before installing them. if you plan to have you car worked on by Candi's shop make sure you see the parts before they are installed and verify there are brand new, otherwise you'll be stuck spending hundreds more when the parts break down again. if they are unwilling to show you the parts then go somewhere else that will show you the parts being put on the car aswell as the ones being taken off because you will be lied to about the condition of the parts being sold to you. read more

I dropped by today after my air conditioning stopped cooling off. This is a day after picking up my vehicle from the dealer. The dealer charged my extended warranty over $3,000 in repairs including the radiator and other engine parts. Well apparently the dealer broke a seal on one of the AC lines and the freon leaked out. The team here at AC World welcomed me and jumped on the vehicle right away, simply asking basic questions on what was wrong with my vehicle. The Boss was not in the shop, so one of the mechanics by the name of Leal quickly told me what was wrong with the vehicle. He then called the Boss who was a few minutes away buying parts for other vehicles. When he arrived, I explained what transpired with the dealer and he right away looked at it generatingthe same conclusion as his staff member Leal. I asked if he could give me something in writing stating the damages found on the vehicle and he agreed to it, but recommended not to take anything back to the dealer because they could claim someone else touched the vehicle therefore the damage was done at another shop. Now, tell me if that's not honesty. He also advised me stop by again so they could check the vehicle to ensure the Dealer made the right repairs. The Boss (owner) refused to charge a dime. Now Folks, that is honesty and in my book validates the credibility found in this shop, which is evident on every Yelp review and other websites. I'll be back to this place..hands down. Looked on Yelp and found this shop. I went to the shop at around 8:00 AM. Candy quickly checked the AC and figured out there was a leak in the evaporator. He said it'd take 7 hours to fix it as the dashboard had to be opened up to replace the evaporator, drier etc. He provided an estimate immediately($740 plus taxes). One of his folks dropped me back home while the car was being worked on. Got a call at 3pm from Candy and a person came to pick me up from my office. Car A/C was fixed. AC was far better than before but not cold enough for the money spent. It's cloudy in Miami for the last 1 week and still the AC blows like an air cooler than Air conditioner itself. May be a few degrees colder would have been better. Probably I need to have Candy check it again. Btw the key fob was broken when I went to pick the car. Candy was honest enough to tell that before I noticed it and he fixed it with glue. Overall it was a good experience. Hoping to update to 5stars once the AC blows cold. We got back on the road, extremely quickly, and for under the anticipated cost. Can't say enough good things about this place or the man running it. My wife and I made the trek down from Atlanta to Miami for a cruise. We decided to drive so that we could spend a few extra days seeing family & friends in Jax beach along the way. Around Canaveral the AC in my wife's civic starts blowing hot air. I'm mechanically inclined but I don't know the 1st thing about A/C's. I pulled over at a Walmart and burned $40 on a freon kit to try to avoid a mechanics bill. That didn't fix the problem. We were stuck driving in 90+ degree weather with no AC for the remainder of the way down. Oh well, we had the cruise to look forward to and had a great time. Determined not to have such sweltering conditions for the ride home, I hit up Yelp & found these guys! We packed up and left the ship at 7:30 then drove to Auto World AC. They took us right in & diagnosed the problem almost immediately. They gave us an ETA and a quoted price right then and there. We thought we'd be in for hundreds of dollars and potentially a few extra nights in a hotel. Luckily it was nowhere near that in depth of an issue. We waited in the (clean) lobby area and watched TV for about 2.5-3 hours. It was worth the wait to have that sweet sweet AC again. I googled around and called my longtime mechanic to get an idea of what I should expect to pay. AAW came in about $50 less than my local mechanics "low ballpark estimate." To top it off, (not that I'll be able to use it) they offer a warranty on the replacement parts that were installed. Really couldn't ask for more from a mechanic! TL/DR: use these guys if you're having AC issues and want great service with fair prices. read more

If you've got friends and families like mine, they'll tell you to go see "their guy", but I've only seen problems get worse and cars falling apart after they take them to these places. A diagnostics from the dealer told me that my 2013 Hyundai Veloster would have to have the AC Compressor replaced for somewhere around a grand and a half. Unfortunately, I just didn't have that amount of excess cash lying around to get it fixed. I'm someone who takes very good care of my car, but I understand that sometimes parts just wear out but I rely a lot on my car; I drive up to 40 miles a day and my compressor whining the whole way through was just driving me nuts. I did some researching on Google and found places that had more horror stories than good ones. I found places that had no reviews at all. I even tried getting quotes from commercial auto repair shops who wanted as much if not more than $1200 to repair my compressor. I did, however, find a place called Auto A/C World that had a whopping 5 stars on Google with over 50 reviews and counting. I was reluctant to give it a shot but I decided to make a call and get a ballpark figure for how much it would cost me to get my car fixed. Upon calling, Candy broke down the parts and the labor for just about anything it could possibly be. It was one third or half less than what most places were quoting me. I was reluctant, but I was set on getting my car fixed with the very little cash I have as excess. I managed to show up first thing Monday morning as I had been told that it's first come first serve. As I entered the garage, they knew immediately what I came in for as my car was making a loud whining noise every time the car was on. Candy and Pete did their thing: checking all the symptoms, getting an idea of what it could possibly be, and eventually giving me a quote for how expensive the best and the worst possible scenario would be. Candy told me that best scenario, it could possibly be the clutch, and if that needed to be repaired it would around a quarter of what the dealer wanted as they wouldn't need to replace the compressor. Worse case scenario, we would have to replace the compressor but it'd be still almost half of what the dealer wanted and twice the amount of replacing the clutch. Either way, they wouldn't know what it was until they pull the compressor out. I strained with the idea of having to spend so much, being strapped for cash as I was, but decided its much cheaper than the problem getting worse and having to get a new car. After being told by the dealer that the compressor would have to be replaced, i was already ready to spend the amount of getting the compressor replaced by Candy's shop. After a couple of nervous hours later, Candy called me to tell me the car was ready the same day. He told me that the compressor didn't need to be replaced, only the clutch assembly and that my car was ready to go. Any other mechanic could have lied and told me to have the compressor replaced and had me pay a whopping amount. I was so happy that I got my car fixed and I didn't even have to break the bank for it. My car feels as smooth as the day I first bought it. No more whining noise on idle or accelerating. I was so impressed with the work and the cost that I'm telling all my friends and family members to take their cars to Auto A/C World. Candy's shop is honest, reliable, and by god they do fantastic work at a great price. After checking out my car, my family and friends aren't talking to me about "their guy" anymore. So had issue with my a/c and took to my regular mechanic. Issue was it didn't always cool - sometimes it would just blow at temperature and then after a few minutes start blowing cold. Took to my mechanic and He put his gauges on it and indicated issue with low pressure side. Left Car and came back later and he told me he simply evacuated system and refilled it again(basically flush system) and the a/c seemed to be working better as i drove it home. Next day driving to a meeting as i took the car out of gear as i was approaching a light, the engine turned off and starter could not crank motor over. Seemed like battery though Car did start cranking over again after about half an hour while i waited for tow. I towed to mechanic who tested and confirmed bad battery and we replace it - was four year old battery so it made sense. Next day went a few miles from My house and was idling in parking space and same thing happened - engine just died and wouldn't crank over. Towed back to mechanic who replicated issue and said it was a/c compressor and a/c clutch that was locking up. New system was going to cost me about$1500 so i decided to hold off and asked that he disconnect the ac compressor that way there wasn't anyway for it to leave me stranded and i would return when the weather got warmer. In the meantime i went to this a/c shop solely based on yelp reviews.met the owner Candido who said to bring back a couple days later early In the morning. Brought Car back and they hooked up compressor and checked system And it had TWICE as much of the recommended Freon in it which certain could Cause system to lock up. We left Car running for some time and it did not freeze up. Car was back to running intermittently cool but at least i could drive it. Candido refused to be paid for this troubleshooting. He told me when i want to fix the ac properly to come back to him. I have now and followed his recommendations and a/c is working better than it ever has and consistently better than ever. While I think my mechanic is good at fixing issues with our cars, however i think he does not have good a/c experience. Candido always focus on a/c systems so he is expert in that alone. So i spent the money but i think it well spent this time since ac continues to work well now a month later. read more

I went today to get my AC checked after being told by several mechanics that it could be the expansion valve, which would have cost me a lot of money. I had the AC inspected by Candy, he is the owner. First thing when they open the hood they noticed that my battery was loose and they fixed it without even me telling him to do it. One of the reasons I made a Yelp account is to review this place. They have a parrot, it doesn't really affect the work, but I feel it should be mentioned. In the process of fixing the faulty parts on my Jeep, they inadvertently broke a non faulty part. My AC started leaking. I gotta say, finding a good mechanic can be daunting and stressful. Especially for a girl! Especially if you're not from the area! You don't want to get ripped off, but you also don't want to spend so much money that you're broke either. Candy fixed my Honda CRV's A/C last year. Both of my fans were out. He replaced both of them with a trusty brand of aftermarket parts that he uses and said he has never had a problem with.He guarantees the parts too, so if something happens to the actual part or it's faulty, it doesn't come out of your pocket. He did the two fans plus the labor work for a total of about 400$. That's not bad, considering the parts online were anywhere from 80-150$ alone depending on where you ordered from. (And then you're not guaranteed about the quality). The location was close to where I lived (Doral), which made it all the better. Candy was available by phone for questions and also took his time explaining things to me because I was confused on what was going on with my poor car. He speaks clear english, which is a plus for someone who is not from Miami. But if you speak Spanish many of his workers there speak Spanish, so do not worry. I thought the pricing was fair, he worked quickly (I think within 2 days) and efficiently. He fixed my A/C last year I believe and it's still going strong, no problems!
