STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY...Very vague and misleading estimate that disappeared when trying to retrieve it later. Went into office to inquire about original bid and couldn't get it until next day, but of course wording was different than original. Directed to speak with owner and he was rude and very defensive when confronted with altered bid... just threatened with lien against my property. read more

Unfortunately, this review is far from positive. My wife called A1 Glass on 3/29/24 to inquire about the price of a glass top for a patio table belonging to my 80+ year old parents. She was quoted an amount, with a price breakdown, by a polite and helpful gentleman. A few days later my wife and I drove to the business, to clarify the process for ordering and delivery. The owner, Darrel Dean, was present during this conversation, although mostly we dealt with a gentleman seated to his right. This gentleman showed us a picture of the glass on the internet, and based on that and the price we had been quoted, we thought we were good to go. I personally dropped off the wrought iron table for measurement accuracy, and so as to avoid the $150 fee for them to come out and measure. However, when my parents went in on 4/4/24 they were charged $239.53 more than we had been quoted. When I called to inquire about the large price difference, I spoke to the owner Darrel, who was extremely defensive and rude. He tried to justify the higher price because he had to "cover his margins". Darrel also stated he hates dealing with this type of glass and didn't want to do the job anyway (then why did he accept it?). I asked several more questions to get to the bottom of the differences between the quote and the charge, not wanting to proceed at the higher price. We were also concerned that he was taking advantage of our elderly parents. Darrel became more defensive and rude and told me to "pick up your da*n table". My wife and I went in the same day to do so. My wife had a conversation with Darrel while there, to pursue the issue of the discrepancy between the original quote of $746 (including $512.56 glass, tax and the $175 delivery charge) and what my parents were charged ($985.53), as we had yet to receive a clear explanation. He was argumentative with my wife as well, telling her "we are done" several times. He blamed me for his poor attitude, citing our earlier phone conversation. He eventually told her that we were initially quoted a price for a clear top table, and that when we were in the store he told us the price would be $743 instead, plus tax and delivery. Neither my wife nor I ever heard him tell us this. $239.53 is a big price difference and deserved an explanation. He could have easily given this explanation at the beginning, and asked if we were still interested. Instead, he was beyond rude and disrespectful to the both of us, and was not transparent in his dealings. Not just with the cost of the service, but with his name, which he refused to give us (we had to do research to find his name). What business owner does that? While Darrel credited our parent's credit card, the rest of our interaction with this business and its owner were awful. Next time we will trust the prior poor reviews! We don't recommend this place for business at all. read more

We have an old French door with double pane glass that had become "foggy" and unable to clear with cleaning.. A1 glass sent Josh out to our home. He looked at our doors, measured our windows, returned with the new replacement glass and replaced our old glass with crystal clear thermapane replacements. He was efficient, professional, knowledgeable. if you need any glass replacement in your home I would recommend you call A1 glass and request Josh. He is amazing and my new door glass looks so good !!!!!! I will never go anywhere else! read more

Had read window replaced,they order wrong glass,(said it was a bolt in,they ordered a glue in)rescheduled went back had installed ,when arrived for pick up had 2x4 i the rear end holding the glass in so the GLUE could dry,told him I was unhappy,he began screaming,actualily had to call the police read more

I have used A1 glass for several different projects around the house and they are amazing. Everyone I have spoke to and delt with have been so friendly and helpful. I made an appt. for my windows to be tinted. I made the appt. for 9am said it would take approximately 1 1/2 hours. Sounded great! Took my vehicle had 8:15 told them had a few errands to run and I'd be back. At 12:35 they had not even started!!! Then proceeded to tell me that don't make appts. I asked about the appt. time he gave me the day before he said they don't go by appts. If I dropped it off and left then they would just get to it when they could.... apparently they expect you to wait in their lobby while it's being done or they "think" they have the whole day! At 12:35 he asked if I still wanted my tint put on... hmmmm.... NO! Apparently my time is not valuable... definitely don't recommend read more

I had a patio door installed 15 months ago. First they measure for both sides of the door and give a quote, then When call to see why the doors haven't been installed, they say they gave the wrong quote. Now it's going to cost twice as much! So the owner says he will give a better price on the second door. Well it took forever for them to even to come out and install them. After installing one door was installed improperly, you could see the sunlight coming through the bottom. Now it takes over another week to come fix this! After 15 months there is moisture coming through the panes on one side. So I call to see about the warranty, first his wife who works there doesn't know what answer to give, she will have her husband call when he gets back! Well I call back in a few minutes to help her out with invoice number. "Oh we found it", he says well we have a 6 month warranty! The manufacturer is 5 year warranty! I still do not feel this is right, so I go to the store on Hwy 48. Immediately the guy gets an attitude with me cause I had called the manufacturer. So as we're talking the dude throws his hands in the air "We want be doing business, you can leave and we won't be coming back to your house!" (As he is pointing towards the front door). I was in a bind for a glass insert for a door in a house I was selling. I called A-1 Glass in Dickson, Tennessee and they quoted $300 not installed. When I told them I could order it for $125 the said now the price was a total of $208. When it came in it was out of the box and they said it was new but was missing screws and plugs. When I installed it that night I found out it was used, damaged, and faded. I called asking for a partial refund, which was fair, and the response was, "you took it, you own it". By the way, a brand new, in the box door insert from Lowes is $89. I paid full price and spent $208 on a used damage insert and they bought $208 worth of bad reviews in as many places as I can find. read more
