I had the paint protection film installed on my new Mercedes at their other shop, Autoworx. Picked up on a Friday and it looked fantastic. Monday morning I went to the DMV to register it and someone did a hit and run. I couldn't believe it, 600 miles and already damaged. I brought it Otto at Auto Body It Is (also in Woburn) and they told me that I'd never know it was damaged. When I picked it up I couldn't find any evidence of damage. I was so happy with the quality of their work. The shop is 100 miles from my house and I'll never go anywhere else. Highly recommend read more

This review is long overdue, but thanks to Juan and Otto, my van was fixed just in time for my trip (hence the delayed review). My back door and window was damaged on my brand new converted Mercedes Sprinter Van. Needless to say, I was quite nervous about leaving my tiny house on wheels at the auto body shop. Initially I spoke to Otto, who made me feel confident in Auto Body It Is, and thanks to Juan, he kept my anxiety at bay. They put the van in a private secure garage and he did the work himself, including dealing with taking off and putting back on the very heavy ski box. It has been a very negative experience with this shop. Long story short, I was promised to have a bumper fixed and paint for $XXX in a week. Called them every other weeks afterwards and got responses like "It not done yet", "Didn't think you need it back right away", "It is fixed but still needed to paint"... lies after lies. Well after month and a half....decided to just get the bumper back and go with other shop. The bumper look exactly like the way I dropped it off...if not worst. Not a single apology from the owner! Having spent 36 years in the automobile business, I've certainly met some dedicated and professional people across the country. I was paid a visit in Concord, Massachusetts by one of the employees of this Body Shop and I made it a point to stop and see what they offered. From start to finish, there are "no" skipping the details. None! Otto, Juan and the entire staff are "customer first" driven. Believe me it shows in the end product. I dropped of my work van to have the back door repaired at this shop. I was referred to them by Mercedes-Benz of Burlington where I bought the vehicle. I explained that I have only 3 days for it since it's a busy season for my work and if they can't do the work within that time they would have to tell me so then so I can plan accordingly. I also was very clear that I am expecting good work. I went back after 4 days which it gave them an extra day for all the repairs promised. The vehicle was in a mess, the door hinge not adjusted, rear bumper was not fixed and glazed. When I asked them why all those was not done, the answer was that "all of those were supposed to be favors and not part of the actual estimate". Instead of honoring the promises used as bait to secure the job they made it look I was looking for hand out. This was very humiliating and disappointing. Being very busy and running late on my work commitments I needed the vehicle back that day. So I offered to make partial payment just for the actual work done so I can take the vehicle back and bring back another day to allow them to finish other things they failed to do on time. They refused it and left me with no choice but to pay them in order to get the keys. Under time pressure I did pay in full. Extremely bad experience I don't think there is enough words to describe this buyer's remorse i had with them. read more

Got my vehicle back after three weeks on a job that should have taken a week. The windshield wiper was upside down and half the lights in the back didn't work. They took two weeks longer than usual because they needed the adjuster to come back so that they could add more work to the estimate. After the adjust came the estimate was 5x higher than the original, not sure what they did but definitely got so more money from my insurance company. Would not recommend this place. read more

Truly above and beyond service and final product. I heard about them from my brother and am happy that I did. I was pretty nervous about some spotting on my matte paint, windows and mirrors on passenger side due to acid rain and a big paint scuff in my door but was quickly put to ease when I met Otto and the team. I needed some repairs done on my car and I called Otto (he is the manager)and he asked me to drop by with the car which I did. He inspected the car and said he would get back to me later that day. He never got back to me. I made repetitive calls to him and never returned any of the calls. Very disappointed! read more

MB of Burlington and Flagship Motors of Lynnfield both recommended Autobody It Is. My wife's new 2018 MB GLC was hit at the rear bumper and quarter panel. I am extremely fussy and detail oriented and wanted the car to be fixed properly. They went out of their way to take care of everything including making arrangements with Enterprise Car Rental. My wife picked up her car this morning and had the same professional experience. Coincidentally my MB CLS was parked at a parking lot the day before while I was attending a meeting and someone scraped the driver's side quarter panel and rear door. Fortunately they did not dent the car but left rubber from their bumper. I took it to Autobody It Is. Otto said they could buff it out and make it new again. I took it in at 5:30 and less than an hour later the car was presented to me looking as if nothing had happened to it. That is extremely good service in a world that lacks service. Honestly the best car fixers case in point one of the owners Ottaviano an Honest good hard working man that wants to do the job right and make sure everything is fair between him, the owner of the car, and the insurance company. His shop does not beat around the bushes he does the job at the best he can. One time I got rear-ended and I drive a Mercury Grand marqui and Apparently it was hard to find the lights to my car because they stopped making them but after my car was fixed he assured me that he (Ottaviano) would not stop till he finds the replacement part to my car about 3 to 4 months go by and he calls me up and tells me he found a good looking pair of lights and would like me to come over so he can place them on my car no charge because the insurance had already covered it he (Ottaviano) just wanted to make sure he got the job done and proper, no "Mickey mouse" business. I would highly recommend them and plan on bringing my car back to him if it ever gets damaged again. read more

Terrible follow up. I went here for an estimate on my car. They were very accommodating when I was there, wrote up the estimate quickly and offered to forward it to my insurance company and I to make it easier. They said they would order the bumper part I needed and call when it was in. This was on a Saturday. By midweek the estimate still hadn't been sent to the insurance company. I called and they said they sent it already but would send it again. A Week and a half later the insurance company still hadn't received anything form them so I forwarded my copy to the insurance company. I received a call from the insurance company stating the estimate was way higher than it needed to be. So I sent the insurance companies estimate back to the shop and asked for follow up on the new estimate as well as my parts. I have heard nothing from the shop in almost 4 weeks. No response from the insurance companies estimate, no update on where the parts are, nothing. And if you do call the shop you just get the run around from a secretary who can't answer any questions and seems to have no knowledge at all on how the business is run. There's a zero percent chance I leave my Mercedes at a place of business that can't forward estimates and order parts. read more
