I originally left a 5-star review a few days after purchasing my 2012 fully loaded Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland. Unfortunately, the real problems didn't begin until about a month later. I've now had it less than four months and under 500 miles of driving, I've dealt with 2 wheel bearings, 2 rotors (they put "brand new" tires on it and claim to have not noticed it needed bearing and rotors), battery failure, alternator failure, electrical issues, a power module replacement, a evap sensor replacement, all four tie rods, an alignment, a 4x4 system repair, fluid flushes and replacements, and a cracked exhaust manifold. At one point the vehicle was in their possession for 11 days while they searched for a used part. All told it's about 10k worth of work for a vehicle I paid 11k for. Initially, the dealership agreed to address several major issues. Later, I was told I should expect these kinds of repairs on a used vehicle and that they had already "done me a favor" by selling it to me. We are talking cooking oil in the battery compartment, not just little, normal wear and tear. Then, after repairs that they had previously indicated were their responsibility, I was required to pay an additional $700 to get my vehicle back from them. When I said i didn't want to do that, they said the repairs had already started and I had no choice. I was told repairs would be performed through Quirk Jeep. Instead, I was informed that a dealership wouldn't do it but a friend of Mike's who worked at the dealership would perform the work. I was never provided the mechanic's name, allowed to speak with the mechanic, given documentation regarding the used replacement parts installed, or provided a written warranty beyond the non specific verbal assurances from a hostile, condescending, misogynistic Mike that I had a warranty on the work, at all. In fact, I was forced to use a male third party to attempt to resolve this because Mike and Bobby made it necessary. My experience has been frustrating, expensive, and ongoing. I am currently pursuing resolution through the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office and plan to go as far as I can to resolve this in a way that makes them hesitate to do this again to someone else, though they have been doing it for many, many years according to the other reviews I've found. It's the classic con set up. Bobby is the buddy, the good guy who only wants to help you, until he has to stand by his word and take out his wallet. Mike is the tough guy, the intimidator, the mook, the guy you don't want to deal with. My advice to anyone considering purchasing from this dealership: have any vehicle independently inspected from end to end before signing anything. Speak with local mechanics, tow truck operators, and other automotive professionals in the area (cuz if you don't, you will). Do ALL of your homework before making a purchase. I thought I did my due diligence, except the independent inspection PRIOR to signing. I knew that it had only had two owners, the second only had it for 6 mo, the cosmetic appeal of the jeep is near perfect, I trusted the lemon law (which doesn't apply to this because it's not the same problem over and over, it's a cascade of problems), I trusted Bobby's assurances that the vehicle was checked "end to end" before it was handed over to me, i had it inspected just before my 30 days were up. He knew I was in dire need due to an accident that totaled my previous car, only given three days of rentals and the need to get to work. I am also disabled so needed a vehicle that is reliable. They used my situation to knowingly sell me a dud that had been fixed up to look brand new. DON'T FALL FOR IT. read more

The owner Mike is an insulting jerk. My car had a muffler problem. They fixed it but when I got to the highway it was overheating as a result of what they did during the repair. When I called three days later the owner told me I had to get a life and to stop calling about the car. I asked the sales person (Bobby) to send me copies of the repair bills to see what they did (multiple times) he never bothered to send them. I was in the printing business for years. I always made this right with the customer. I have never interfaced with a total jerk like Mike. Bobby is nice but is either incompetent or operates under Mike's orders. Go somewhere else or be prepared to be screwed. read more

Bought a 2011 Hyundai Sonata. I'm giving 1 star due to owner Mike Fagan who sold me Hyundai Sonata that there was a half ass job of trying to cover up chip marks. I was told not covered under warranty. Shame on my old eyes not catching this. If a company touched up paint and it started to re chip again you would think Mike paying someone to do this, I guess he wants repair shop to do shabby work. Makes me think he must've done touch up on the paint and knew it wouldn't last. It was not covered under warranty, so for a fast fix did it himself just to get the car off the lot. Now, I have to pay someone to fix it, or it will rust. I couldn't get a straight answer on who did the touch up work! Another dealership dealing with the owner telling me I should be grateful. I am really beside myself with this situation. I paid for my car on Monday 10/26 made my second payment for a paid in full car on 10/27 Tuesday. I wasn't able to pick up the car until Wednesday because Nick auto country salesmen assured me that my car was being "safety checked" and that if there we any maintenance issues I would be informed and they would be rectified prior to the car leaving their shop. I asked auto country for a detailed report of any maintenance that may have needed to be done on the vehicle and I was told I could receive that invoice for two weeks time (conveniently enough that bypasses the Lemon aid law) I tried to give nick the benefits the doubt, I wanted to believe in auto country. I wanted to be able to be prepared for an issue if there was one. I wanted to feel safe in my car and they couldn't even verbally tell me what was looked at on the car. Less than 12 hours later on the very next day on Thursday 10/28/2020 I called auto country to inform them of some very concerning power steering issues I was experiencing while reversing. Nick said we were lucky we went with auto country because they will help fix it just not yet because they are busy. No repair appointment was made at that time. On Friday 10/30/2020 the vehicle stalled right through a red light busy intersection! From what I understand now this dealership sold me a car with a faulty transmission. When I tried to call auto country to speak with them to explain this situation, as anyone could imagine I was upset, my life was absolutely put in danger by people who told me the car was safe, they were not respectful to me. The owner then told me not to embellish my story by saying my life was in danger because the car stalled through an intersection. I'm not sure I've been this upset in a very long time. Now they are asking to schedule a repair however nothing will be able to be done until Monday which conveniently enough for them or so they think that would allow them to let the time run out on the lemon aid law. I'm a repeat customer. Been very satisfied with Auto country and will definitely buy from again. They are local convenient and helpful, and I've never had trouble finding a car there to meet my needs and budget. This time around I financed a 08 Honda with them and the process was easy going, got better than I expected in terms. Basically, all I had to do was call my insurance agent, Auto Country did everything else. Like last time, just takes a couple visits, and then they let you know your car is ready to pick up! Me and my family went there to go test drive a car for my sister and the sales man jack copies my fathers id and never gave it back we didn't notice until we were back near are house and we drove all the way back to get the id and the were closed. My wife and I purchased a 2009 Saturn Vue on 2/23/18. We have enjoyed the vehicle during the time in which we have had possession of it. On 2/23 it failed emission inspection due to the computer not being ready ( I was told that they put a new battety in). On 2/25 we notified Auto Country that the check engine light is on and the vehicle is jerking (90miles since purchase). I provided them with the codes from Auto Zone in case the light went off. I dropped the vehicle off on 2/26 and on 3/1 I was told that it needed a transmission part. So it took 3 days to diagnose that the transmission was the issue.I was told that I could pick it up and use it until the part came in. On 3/3 the transmission seized on us completely. I had to have it towed to my work which was close by. On Monday 3/5 Auto Country towed it back to the mechanic. On Monday Afteenoon my wife received a voice mail saying the part just came in and that our vehicle is going to be a priority. I called on Thursday to follow up and was told that it was going to be ready by Friday afternoon. I called Auto Country Friday afternoon before heading over their and they were clueless. I was told that the delay was because of the weather. Fed up, we called mechanic directly and he said that their was a vehicle in front of us and that he was starting the Saturn now and to follow up on Monday (delay was not weather related). My wife calls Auto country this morning 3/12 and was told that the owner left a note saying the vehicle was going to be ready early afternoon. Fed up again, we called mechanic again and said that they need another day. I gave Auto Country 2 stars because they are nice people (except for a couple instances in which I wont publicly post). I just bought my second car from Autocountry and I can say that I have really enjoyed my experience working with everyone there. First was a reliable and fairly priced Subaru Forester and this time its was a Jeep Warngler TJ. Joe and Tim helped me around the lot where there is a lot to choose from and Dwayne got me a great rate which put me in my dream car. Everyone who works here is friendly and relatable, you can talk to them candidly and they are fast and efficient. My father also bought a great truck here that he has been extremely satisfied. This is not your typical 'used car' dealer. These guys really went the extra mile to make sure that my Jeep Wrangler was road ready, safe, and up to my standards. I had the pleasure of also dealing with the owner who took the time to talk to me and treat me as an equal and that is important to me, especially in today's fast-paced and face-value world. I tried to help my daughter in law buy her first car here, what a horror show. They tried to take advantage of her lack of knowledge and lack of credit. When I arrived to look over the documents I found that they, or according to them the bank, was charging 20% interest plus $1000 fee on top of the sale price. Once the owner Mike Fagan got involved it really went south, he told me they "don't get a penny from the finance company" then proceeded to show me a document actually listed their payment from the bank!! When we said we were going to keep looking and wanted the deposit back he said "I'll mail you a check". We refused to leave until he finally gave the deposit back, the whole time Mike kept trying to antagonize me, swearing at me and telling me I was stupid. Drove down to this place to check out a car I found online without many expectations. Car was good - clean inside and out - better than the pictures on the website. I had previously researched the price for the year, model, and mileage, which was lower than other car dealers. I gave them a call and Mike S. answered and was totally low key. He said the car was clean and ready to go. Given the excellent price I was expecting to find something wrong with the car but when I visited, the car was as clean as Mike said it was. Actually I found that the car was a one-owner with full service records and had options not listed in the advertisement, so the car was better than expected. Plus they had a very low price. During the entire time Mike never tried any pressure at all and was quiet during the test drive so I could listen to the car. He even said I could think about it and get back to him, which I've never heard from a car salesperson. I was not surprised that the advertised price was firm because it was a good price. I've been told that all used car dealers (but not true for new car dealers) now list their rock bottom price online because everyone uses the internet to compare. If the price is a few hundred dollars too high (so I've been told) , they get no calls and waste their advertising. My credit is not perfect and I did not want to put any money down, so that was a concern. I had been to five dealers including Prime and Boch and was turned down (and I definitely do not recommend Boch!). Since I had gone to other dealerships who couldn't get me financed, my credit had many negative hits. But Dwayne got me financed and the payments and fee were much better than I expected. If I'd gone to Auto Country first without the credit hits from Prime and Boch, it would have been easier to get financing. When I went to get the car, Mike picked me up at the train station and the car was clean and ready to go. Have had no problems at all with the car. In my experience Mike and Dwayne are upfront, honest, and no-pressure - plus Auto Country got me financed when five other dealerships could not. read more

This dealership is not honest and the people, except the wife, are downright scary. Two days after purchasing a 2006 Honda Accord, we noticed some major issues like a roar or scraping in the tire, a headlight was out, and when you went over a bump, a crunching. It seemed like Nick was trying to override the 30-day warranty because they did not tell us to bring it back to them. He would have the boss call us. Of course, he never did. Finally, I got to talk to the owner who said he would fix it. I had it towed to his dealership at my expense since I felt that tire or whatever it was, was not safe. Nick then called me and had me come to Abington from Taunton to sign some papers. I asked, "what papers?" He wanted me to tell them what was wrong with the car. Well if you sell a car and it's inspected, you should know what's wrong and if not, the dealer should find out. Long story short, the owner and I had words and to me, he was the most pompous disrespectful person one could deal with. He bragged about how long he had been in business. He frightened me. He said if you are not happy, I will refund your money and we keep the car. I said, fine. He then said, "give me the title." I said, I just bought this, I don't have a title. So I had to leave with no refund. I left with no car and he would not return the plates to me. I then came home and canceled it online with the U.S.A.He told me when the title came in he would then refund my money. He still has my 7,000 dollars and the car. Tonight I will notify and take out a complaint against him with the BBB and Consumer protection. DO NOT LET YOUR WOMAN or girlfriend near him. Do not buy a car and stay away from that dealership. Also, they had an inspection sticker on it when it was time to TAKE OWNERSHIP. They never gave me the option to have an independent inspection and I am not guessing why. I am 74 years old, and just recovering from cancer. This is by far the worst dealership I have ever dealt with. Here is a copy of the check he cashed. He said I was rude but had no trouble taking my money. No, I have not gotten it back and won't until I can get the title. First of all staff is rude, when trying to buy a vehicle its rude to constantly be answering the phone while trying to discuses with a customer details after 3 rings they pick up the phone and when ever we would get into detail about agreements hes answering the phone. Knowing that I have the best credit and would not have a problem purchasing a car. I was on the look for 6 months finally found what i wanted here on line. Went to look at it fine, came back two days later bought it fine. Came to pick it up and finalize paper work took the dealer over an hour to find the keys, window was broken tires would not of passed inspection took them two and a half weeks to fix the window said they put ties on that would of passed inspection (they didn't) and with in that time put over 50 mils on the motor vehicle. because it took them so long they offered to put a sticker on for me (Hench not changing the tires) . Took it home with in a week noticed a leek in the engine brought it back took them another 3 weeks to fix it. Short story: This dealer is extremely shady, and follows illegal business practices. Avoid at all costs. Long story: I paid cash for a 05 Toyota Camry from this lot on Saturday, one day after Veterans Day. They told me it would be ready on Monday mid-day with the agreement that they'd be able to get the car's inspection taken care of. The guy that dealt with me sounded like he was on something. It ended up not being ready until Tuesday mid-day. The inspection they'd agreed upon was not even taken care of. Instead of being able to give me a massDOT RMV form, they gave me a bill of sale, and said that "the car would be 100% legal to drive for a least 7 days as long as I had this form". I had called them every day after that point, to check if they got the car's registration taken care of. They hadn't, and their excuse was that they were waiting to get the title from another Toyota dealer. Why is my car registration being handled by an unknown 3rd party? The following Friday, almost a week after the original sale, I take the car to get inspected, since it's inspection sticker was out of date, and it failed inspection, for multiple reasons: 1. The license plates were in the wrong spots. The front one was on the back, and the back one was on the front. 2. The car STILL had not even been registered, and there was no title produced by the dealer. I called them again, and they said they'd have the title and form ready by Monday morning, already past the initial 7 days that they are legally required to produce a registration. Monday, 9 days after the original sale date, and it's still the same old story from them, "Toyota dealer still needs to send the title." Instead of getting any kind of registration for the car, they emailed me another bill of sale, that was dated for that Monday, instead of the original day, which is the shadiest thing I've ever seen a dealer do. The same night, one of the headlights on the car goes out, making it impossible to pass another inspection, even if it were to be registered at that point. On the Wednesday before Thanksgiving (11 days after original sale date), when they were giving the same story about why they could produce a registration, I asked them for the number of this supposed Toyota dealer they were getting the title and registration from, and they said, and this is a direct quote, "Sorry I don't have their number on hand right now, but I'm sure you can find it if you look on Google". At this point, I drove the car back to the dealer, and got a full refund. Given that the car was bought with cash, we should not have had to ask for that long for a registration, especially when they initially said that inspection would be taken care of by the time I picked up the car. It's also 100% illegal in the state of Massachusetts to not produce a registration for a newly sold car, within 7 days, so they were already doing something illegal. Avoid this dealer at all costs if you can. They are not genuine, and you can easily find better quality cars at better prices from other dealers. What's more, is that every other dealer in the state will be able produce a title and registration within 1 day of sale. You won't get that kind of service at Auto Country, and they don't even know how to put license plates on a car properly. These guys are a joke. read more

The 2002 Honda CRV that I purchased from them was a decent price with no rust and low miles, but there were several minor mechanical problems with the car that should have been addressed if their mechanic had gone over the car with any care: a torn CV boot, non-functioning rear wiper with missing wiper spray nozzle, a worn out front wiper arm link that barely worked, worn out front sway bar links, and the driver side running board almost fell off while driving it home. Unfortunately I only noticed and made them fix the sway bar link problem before I drove off, and they have been completely unhelpful about everything else. The CV boot is especially annoying since it will take hours to fix. So if you buy from them, be sure to extensively examine the car yourself, or bring an expert with you. read more

The second i said i was no longer interested and was gonna keep looking the owner Mike switched a flip and was the rudest person I've ever had to do business with. Calling my boyfriends father names trying to make it seem like his father was the problem when they were trying to screw me with an outrageous rate. Not impressed. Came in here today and to look at a few cars that were on Autotrader.com and didn't see them in the lot. Their sign says "30 cars under 5,000" and when I asked the salesperson laughed and said, "oh, that sign is outdated, we don't have an opportunity to get up there and change it too often." Since we weren't able to park in the smaller lot with the cars, we parked across the street in the truck lot and walked across the street. The salesperson in the truck lot assured us that one of the three other salesmen across the street would be able to help us out. We walked over and.... nada. I saw an SUV on craigslist at this dealership and called ahead to see if it was still there, as I was about 45 minutes away and didn't want to waste time driving there if it wasn't....I spoke with Jim there and it was still available, so I went down to look at it and drive it...Jim couldn't have been nicer to me and had the SUV ready for me when I got there...As soon as we got into the vehicle, Jim pointed out a part of the shifter needed replacing and it would be done before it was sold..We did the test drive and I liked this SUV, so when we got back we worked out a very amicable trade in on mine and struck a deal.. I was then introduced to Dwayne and he couldn't have been nicer to me either. We then did up some paper work and I was told the car should be fixed and ready for pickup with about 5 days...Well, we got nailed with the worst week of snow we've had here ever, so that timeframe got moved back...Then I get a call from them saying there is an expensive part for the ABS system that needs to be replaced and that would need to be ok'd by the owner..Well, it took a few days for the owner to be notified and a decision to be made..The owner then ok'd the part and within another 4 days, the part was replaced and I got to pick up the SUV last night.. A testament to their desire to make a customer happy, the part that was needed cost about 1/3 of the price I paid for the vehicle, and the thinking is, they don't want a customer for just 1 car, they want to earn your future business too... So, even though it took almost 2 weeks from test driving it and leaving a deposit, to the day I left with it, the communication was often and thorough...I WILL be back here again and once again, Jim and Dwayne really made me feel like an old time friend. read more

Was told I was denied by the banks and my application was never ever sent to the banks. Unprofessional attitudes. The buy here pay here says over 30 cars. My boyfriend bought a car here a few months back and I have to say we are very happy with the purchase. After a few weeks the alternator went in the car and when we called the owner (who came to the phone without issue) he told us to bring it back and he would replace the alternator. When he had the car he went through it bumper to bumper to make sure nothing was missed from the first go around.
