My friend actually found this business originally. He had some issues with his ecu for an import car(car from jap). They took care of him, he dropped it off and picked up the next day. I broke the main stud on my starter. I initially called a few local shops and both hung up on me randomly. I called AER and they told me to bring it in. I brought it at 3pm, we chatted at little bit and he looks at the clock and says give them and hour. I came back at 5pm and it was done. They even painted it! (My motor is also a import motor) For the price and quality of work I have no complaints at all. They where fast and not overly priced like other competitors. Mann.. idk where to begin. Just cuz you watch YouTube videos and use chat gpt, don't mean you are a mechanic. Let me tell you about this jit named lee. I brought in my 2000 Honda crv. It had a camshaft plug leak. Met this so called 'mechanic' named lee. He popped open the hood and inspected the issue. Saw the leak and advised to me that the only way to replace the camshaft plug was to replace the whole head. I ain't no mechanic myself, so I ain't gon act like I knew wat the problem was. Bro on the other hand, gave me advice only a crook and scammer would. He didn't tell me that all it took to fix the problem was 4$. But instead, wanted to' troubleshoot' it by having me cough up 200$ to change the head gasket. Mind you, the gasket wasn't even leaking. Anyway, I proceeded to get it done right away! I ain't had no free time to reschedule. He got down to business in replacing the head gasket. Didn't even touch the camshaft plug. Even though, that was the problem. Cleaned up all the leaks and extra oil and called it a day. I thot I was good. I thot the problem got fixed. Within the next few days, I started to smell the smell of burning oil. I hurried and popped the hood and inspected the engine compartments. And guess what I had discovered you ask? A leak. A leak coming from the camshaft plug AND the head gasket. Yeah, the head gasket that was just replaced a few days prior by the wannabe mechanic lee. So I took it back to him that very moment. And showed him what I had seen. His reply..? 'Well you got an old ass car. Of course your shit is gonna leak.' I was better off going to autozone and picking up a plug for 4$. Don't come here unless you have money to throw away. I'm really impressed with these guys. I brought my PCM in to have it evaluated in the process of troubleshooting some transmission issues. Tim and crew were able to take a look at it pretty quickly. Here's the thing--they could have easily said one or more components needed to be replaced and I would have been none the wiser. Instead, they found nothing wrong and let me know that it was good to go. I definitely recommend this place. This is not your typical repair shop but they know their stuff, I took my Rav4 to get the ECM (Engine Control Module) to be replace after having problems with gears miss shifting. I was able to SAVE over a thousand bucks. The owner took the vehicle for a test drive to make sure it was the ECM, he replaced it and flush the computer. He took less than an hour and gave me 1 YEAR of warranty. Like i said don't expect a typical repair shop with a place to seat and wacht tv while you wait, not at all, but if you want to fix it right and save lots of money this is the place to go. read more

The ECM unit in our RAV 4 failed a couple of days ago. The dealer quoted us $1200 to replace it. I looked online to see how to replace it myself. The procedure didn't look very complicated, but since I am recovering from shoulder surgery, I thought it would be better to call around to check out our options. Our calls led us to Tim by referral from another auto-electric shop. Tim quoted us 1/5th the dealer price, told us it would be completed by 9:30 the next morning and stayed open late to give us time to get the car to him. My only complaint, it wasn't completed until 9:35! Just kidding. We dropped the car off after hours on Tuesday and drove away at 9:35am on Wednesday. I should mention that we had an extra thousand dollars in our pocket, a one year warranty and everyone was very friendly. My wife feels that the car runs better than it ever has, because the transmission shift points make a lot more sense and the car has better performance. She bought the car new. read more

They tried to sell me a part that i "needed" for twice the price ($300) and i ended buying it on my own ($150) but in the end it wasn't even that. He referred me to this place and said they are the best around and the price was far less than other places and he could do it in an hour. I called around to different places to get pricing and all the other places i called said it would be $100-$200 more than this place and take a couple of days to do. Noah quickly diagnosed the problem - going from an original 2-wire base, to a 3-wire base. I was scheduled to come back in a few days. He called the distributor back and confirmed that the wire color-code (foreign) did not comply with domestic. After that, everything was wired correctly, problem solved. If you want to save money and rebuilt the electric part, they have done it so far. But, their service is horrible. They fix my master cylinder and the brake fluid leaks at the replacement parts. The brake light comes on and I called them two days after the repair. They told me to go replace ABS sensor. I found out the brake fluid is low and refill it. Two days later, it leaked all again. I called them and they make me drop off the car. Said they don't have time to fix the until three days later. The owner is very impatient and hang up on me a couple of times after asking him how long would it take. This place acts like they don't need your money. I'm ready to go on Thursday and he tells me to come on on Saturday and then hangs up on me. I've gotten a couple rebuilds from them for a 1995 Infiniti Q45. Why I mention the make /year is that it's very important to get the exact part for the car because the fit is very tight in the engine compartment. Most auto stores use rebuilders that have pretty loose definitions of what qualifies as a replacement part. With the Q45, it has to be the exact part or it won't fit. You can't use a "Nissan series xxxx" rebuild. These guys have the exact part, or they'll rebuild yours. read more

Best place ever, for both service and labor. Owner was friendly and I did not have to wait too long. I had to change my regulator for window driver side since it got stuck. I decided to give this shop a try. Small store's looks can be deceiving. The price was cheaper than at dealer. Labor is was good too. Dealer wants $260 for parts and $100 for labor (what a ripoff). Another guys down the street wants $200 (still overpriced). Price here was $130 for both parts and labor, with 6 months warranty. Couldn't be happier. Thank you! read more

My brother has had great experience with Auto Electric Rebuilders. He even recommended them to me. However my experience was not so wonderful. They were over priced but said they had the part so I ordered one. They sold me an ECM for my vehicle it turned out to be the wrong one. They got a second one a week later and it was no better. First off this place is an auto part store not an auto service garage. I've been going here for years and they've been really helpful to me. I get all my ECUs and Power Window Motors here. They even have distributors and rebuild alternators and starters here as well. Tim is an alright dude over there. I know he doesn't like to explain his work often but he's really knowledgeable when it comes to parts and make of the cars. Auto Electric Rebuilders is an Electrical AUTO PART STORE . So the guy complaining about this place is a scam maybe theres reasons why he didn't want to explain his work to you? Maybe they aren't certified to work on your car. Maybe he doesn't like you and didn't want to explain his work. lol. But you wouldn't go to Auto Zone and ask someone to work on your car. As far as I know they're alright. Its another one of those Mom's and Pop's auto part store that try and help you out the best they can. I know they're pretty well known for having hard to find ECU's and things like that. Somebody told me about this place last year. My car had some serious electrical problems. In fact I thought my car blew up and would never run again..... A mechanic friend came to my house, diagnosed the problem (which was serious. Antifreeze leaked into the cars computer which blew out other electrical parts) TIM found us a computer and a few other parts for a fraction of the cost of what other car repair places wanted to charge. He does not stick by his word and tends to hang up on you if you ask too many questions, At any when a CUSTOMER is asking a question or wants to get a status on his car he should be able to get one without getting hung up on. A friend of mine recommended this place when I was in search of an alternator for my brothers car. He had a really great price on a rebuild and his customer service to me was superb. I had to leave a $20 deposit since I didn't have the original alternator with me. After bringing the alternator home and getting ready to work on the car, we realized it was just the belt that needed to be replace. Needless to say I would have to return the part I bought from him. I called him 2 days later asking if they opened on Saturday. He kindly gave me my answer and I politely said my "thank you". He then proceeded to ask if there was something he can help with and I gave him the story about the alternator. He was not hesitant to tell me that there wouldn't be any problems in returned parts as long as I have original receipt and it wasn't used. His mannerism and customer service was exceptional to me. It is hard to find people who are willing to offer guidance in your purchase for your best interest rather then just trying to make a quick buck.
