REALLY wanted this to work. this shop is (very) close to home for me and we have 2 Mbz (GL450, R500) and a Mini Cooper S that are professionally serviced, but we would prefer to take our business from Fletcher Jones and Penske Auto Group and give it to local shop, going back to the days of a more personal relationship, even if the same money. made appt pulled into empty parking lot as i was first AM appt, pulled into the service drive. rocky came out to greet me and told me to move my car. to which i replied, "sure, put it wherever you like, to which he replied, and i am paraphrasing, "the sign says no parking. if i get no respect, i give no respect. move it or leave. wow. even in good economic times this would be a difficult customer interaction to accept, let alone a first encounter. empty parking lot, empty service bays, ... as such, seems like i am not the only person that has decided not to patronize this business. read more

Super nice man, Rocky. Great reviews, close to my mancave so I thought heck for an oil change what could go wrong. 2017 GLC Mercedes 20k mi due for B Service. Fletcher Jones CPO car serviced December last year. Likely, just an oil change Rocky tells me. 200.00 best case but lets check it out and I'll let you know. An hour later I am told brake flush, cabin filters and oil needed. Asking for a break down I learn of a phantom 179.00 "inspection" fee added to the total. Not happy I refused the recommended brake flush and cabin filters and asked Rock to change the oil and I'd pick up my car. No discussion ever on this 179.00 inspection fee. Good news is Rocky admitted he didnt disclose the 179.00 fee and agreed he should have, and in fact, it is required. He waived the fee. Thank you. I got home and inspected the 12 mo old, 4k mile cabin filter (Wifey's car to and from TJs how dirty could it be) in our 20k mint car. It look as clean as the day it went in Dec last year. Sadly, the inspector at Bimmer and Benz broke the clip on the cover holding the cabin filter. Good news is they actually pulled it out and looked at it. Bad news they broke the tab and didnt tell me. I know this as I had inspected the filter recently before a road tip and it wasnt broken. Needless to say I wont be back. Fee's are as high as a dealer and a broken part not informed about, and a failure to disclose "inspection" fee makes it so. Nice man and super clean shop. Just a questionable day. I hope it was just a bad day and not a routine one for these guys. Never had an experience like this. Every time, before you hand the keys over an estimate is given, subject too what else they might find. This wasnt the case at Bimmer and Benz and then the surprise. I was greeted by Rocky when I drove my 2006 330 ci in for an estimate to fix my front bumper and another cosmetic issue. Not only did he provide an estimate for my requested services, but he also gave my car a full inspection. His son even gave me a ride home. He identified several issues that I was not aware of. When it comes to mechanics and my car, I have trust issues. I've been to a few shady mechanics that has caused me to approach new places with caution. A few days ago, I took my best friend's recommendation and went to her shop which didn't work out so well. So today I took my car here to fix the last shop's errors. The things I liked about this place were they sent me a full breakdown of everything they tested and found. They also sent me a quote that I could approve electronically or decline. They were very transparent. Also the owner did a little bit of hand holding for me since I don't trust mechanics easily. They found out the last shop was sloppy after an oil change and didn't plug hoses back in that they should've. That caused my car to misfire. They found minor items the last shop missed in their diagnosis and were able to clear all warning lights the last shop said were impossible. And after fixing it, they even washed my car. I'm slowly learning to trust mechanics again. It's a process. Next time I need an oil change I'll come here instead of another shady shop. read more

I went to have my windshield wiper fluid cleared out because it wasn't working properly. Instead, I left with a broken left headlight frame to which Rocky became defensive when I got upset. I watched him grab the rim of my hood to close it when I saw the rim come off completely. He told me these things Crack all the time, threw the headlight frame in my front seat and told me he didn't like me accusing him of breaking my headlight, and to leave! I was speechless! I l left worse than when I arrived. I am so sad. Now I have to order a new MINI headlight frame. Back to the dealer I go. Rocky needs to control his temper and learn how to treat customers better. When shopping for a vehicle service center, Yelp and related reviews are always important. At the same time, it's equally important to understand what a customer's expectations are. My experience with Bimmer and Benz has been absolutely fantastic. Rocky is extremely knowledgeable, shares information that is useful not only for the immediate repair, but for the mid to long term as well. He is also a bit of a perfectionist, and a character, to be certain. Some people who want a service center to "take care" of their problem without considering the mid to long term consequences may do better elsewhere. I brought my 2002 BMW M-Roadster to Bimmer and Benz due to a failed smog check. Rocky's shop got my car inspected and passed for 1/4 of what the Santa Ana BMW dealership quoted. When finished, Rocky noted to me that one of the tires on my car was manufactured a long time ago (10 years). He didn't tell me I had to replace it, but the information was invaluable. Tires cycle heat, and over time, can become dangerous in the wet, even if they have lots of tread left. Separately, I decided to give the vehicle a total overview and asked Rocky for that service and a related estimate. He was up front and explained cost and time, and the estimate was both detailed and easily understood. A number of faults were found, such as a leaking battery. When I consulted with Rocky, he told me that they only used (in his shop) a specific, highly rated battery (that isn't cheap). I had the option of going elsewhere, or having Bimmer and Benz do the work. I chose Rocky's folks as the reviews of the suggested battery were outstanding, and my car had been through three previous units (over 20 years). I couldn't be happier. As an aside, there was a bad steering clock ring on the car that I knew about - but I hadn't been able to find a replacement. Rocky found one in a few days - and that was just icing on the cake. That's not something you'll see from most dealerships or ACME style repair shops. Overall, if you want the best for your vehicle, and a sharp, detailed eye evaluating your situation, then Bimmer and Benz can't be beat. If you think of your car as "transportation," or are disappointed in its reliability, then you may want to save Rocky and the rest of us who view Yelp reviews some heartache and go elsewhere. This is a PSA for those who value their time and appreciate accurate estimates. I'm going to state the facts because I'm sure the owner is going to try and attack me but facts are facts. I brought my car in person so they could see the work needed and provide an estimate. After looking at the car, he sent me an estimate for $327 (to replace the door handle). I said I would think it over and let him know. He said it was fine but would need a few days notice to order parts. I texted him a few weeks later and said I'd like to get it done. He told me to bring it in. I dropped the car off, and 5 minutes later he texted to say it was going to be more than quoted. The reason I physically brought in the car in is so there would not be any confusion or last minute bait and switch. It's not that hard, just tell me how much it will be from the beginning. It was not a complicated job that had unraveling pieces. The door handle inner and outer needed to be replaced. He knew that. Instead I was quoted one price, then after I dropped it off, was told another. Maybe it's an honest mistake, but I find it strange since I brought the car in. It took them 5 minutes to tell me after I dropped it off that it was going to be more. I would not be surprised if they do this often, because once you have your car there, most people will just go through with it. In the end things worked out for the best, because I didn't approve the work, and don't want to work with someone like this. Note that in his bad reviews, he says he couldn't provide an accurate estimate because he didn't see the car and it's hard to diagnose that way. It this case he did see the car, so not sure why the estimate couldn't be right the first time. To be clear, I didn't get work done so can't speak to the quality of the work. My 2017 BMW wagon is no longer under service warranty. Instead of letting myself get violated at the dealership, I brought my car to Rocky to have a coolant leak repaired. He was able to take my car right away, offered me a complimentary loaner, and a super detailed estimate of what was wrong with my car. He sends videos of the issues. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE !!! I spoke with Rocky over phone he sounded like a fair man and I brought my Mercedes to him with battery issues car was dying . He told me we will look over car tell u what your car needs overall. I left it with him overnight . The next day I get a email with a list of items that needed to be repaired and I see he charged me $195 just to look at the car which by the way was not disclosed to me prior , than I looked at battery replacement the main issue and he charged me 700 plus dollars to replace a battery and a aux battery plus the diagnostic fee so almost 1k and that's not with any other repairs not even oil change . I asked if we would apply the 195 to my bill as credit since I was having battery done there and he said No only if I had all work done he would apply that fee!!! His shop is Highway Robbery he charged 327 for a car battery when I called around it's only 220 and we questioned him and he said that it's because he has 3 year warranty on it , but most batteries are warranty for that long anyways ! Please do not over pay like I did I'm so upset I will never go back and completely took advantage of me ! Not to mention he be little me in front of clients stating he was sorry I had financial issues because I didn't want to pay for all the over priced repairs there ! It was so rude and unprofessional and un called for! While running errands my X5 had a drivetrain malfunction, called and was able to get it in the same day. Diagnosis was a fouled plug resulting in misfire. Staff was very professional and courteous explaining in great detail what was wrong, how and why. Was clearly informed of what needed to be done to rectify my situation. After the formalities of work approval I was offered a loaner vehicle since it was late in the day and the work wouldn't be completed till the following morning. Waiting area is clean, modern and has current magazines, water and coffee amongst other knick knacks that make it feel like family not just another shop making a dollar off you. Work shop is immaculate and visible from the waiting area. Upon pick up I was greeted with fresh clean car and a smile and some damn cute doggos, doesn't get much better than that. read more

I took my wife's car in the other day not knowing this place from anything just that they said they would work on our car. I ended up not having any service done here so I can't comment on that. I am sure they are very good at what they do?? Two of my wife's windows stopped working they wanted $134 a window to determine what the problem was. $268 to just look at it? That is 2 hours labor. They did say that this amount would go to the fixing of the issue which is not bad except for the $134 hour. I ended up taking this to Sully's in Huntington Beach they charged me $94 total to inspect both windows and all door locks etc. They also put this towards the bill. Bimmer and Benz I believe is more for the upper crust / high brow clients because they have the cash to burn. The person working the front was nice and very cordial. I recently purchased new tires for my Audi A4 Quattro and wanted to have it aligned by a shop specializing in Audi maintenance and repair so it would be done correctly. I stopped by Bimmer and Benz to set up a time for the alignment and met Rocky for the first time. I was impressed by his level of knowledge, customer service and cleanliness of his shop. Rocky provided photos by email of the alignment readings making it simple to understand what had been done. After picking up the Audi from Bimmer and Benz, the vehicle was clean and the steering wheel centered correctly, which is not always the case with other shops I have been to! I felt the price was reasonable for a four-wheel alignment given the fact that the car has a modified suspension and is difficult to align. The guys are real professionals and the mechanics are mostly Vietnamese. I had a chance to take a peak in where they work on the cars, it's really clean and organize. I came across Bimmer & Benz when I was driving down on Placentia Ave one day and decided to try it for a new set of brake rotors and pads which were badly needed. The cost was reasonable (less than the BMW shop in Yorba Linda) and my car got a car wash (just like if you take it to the dealership when your card is still under warranty)!
