The telephone assistance worked well with an 8:30 appointment the next day. What they didn't say was that was an estimate and depending on the availability of your specific glass required. My car was broken into and the rear-left side window was shattered. I took my car to Autoglass solutions to fix it. My windows were all rolled up before the service (except the shattered one of course) but after about 30-45 minutes of replacing my shattered window, they showed that neither of my driver side windows are function via the switch panels. The best place to get your windshield fix on in Austin with a reasonable and quick turnaround time. Husband and I hit the road for thanksgiving this year to Houston and so much construction laid the roads of 290 in bound. It wasn't until we hit I-10 in Houston a giant rock came in and chipped his windshield. Boo to seeing a pain for sore eyes of a chip approx the size of a quarter. My husband is old school and doesn't believe in Yelp and google searched "chip repair in Austin" and this was one of the 3 top contenders he was suggested while searching for quotes old school style. He gets a call back from Mark on THANKSGIVING day! What the heck?! Dude is awesome, I thought he wasn't getting any nibbles during the turkey holiday but Auto Glass proved me wrong. Mark talks my husband Michael through some inquiries of how big the damage was, the spread, things of that sort to distinguish between what makes a good solution for chip repair vs what actually just needs a whole windshield replacement. They set things up for 9am on Saturday, and keep in contact through text of pics of the damage and in case schedules change. These guys are fantastic. Got a windshield chip in Big Bend on Thursday. Came back to Austin on Sunday. Looked up these guys and sent an email about the possibility of getting it fixed on Monday. I was driving on 45 toll going about 75mph headed to south and a small rock flung from a cement truck and hit the middle of my windshield!! Boyyyy I was so pissed! Got my windshield replaced here on a 2007 Toyota Avalon. Not broken or anything, but it was old, pitted, and hazy and I like being able to see at night instead of being blinded by a million sparkles when headlights cross the glass. It's possible to polish glass but with the condition it was in, it wasn't worth it. The owner is professional and actually responded to my yelp inquiry. In fact, only 2 out of 5 businesses responded to my quote request through yelp. The only other business that responded quoted me $350. It was $260 for an aftermarket windshield, moulding, and labor, and at that price I wasn't expecting much. When I got the car back I was blown away. It looked exactly the same as OEM with the same tinting and black trim and everything. I'm one of those guys and brought a microfiber and rain-x to immediately wipe it down and inspect it. Perfect quality as far as I can tell, no scratches or warping. Took about an hour to take my car in and get it back. They have a waiting area and a bathroom. read more
