Horrible experience at Auto Mall Collection. Purchased a 2017 Audi and within 20 miles of driving form dealership, check engine light came on. MULTIPLE issues, including a timing chain which cost $3,000 to repair. I was out of luck as they said the lemon law doesn't apply over 125K miles. Windshield had a big chip that didn't pass inspection. They add on $795 for a "document fee" which is pure fluff and pads their margin. Salespeople have a poor demeanor and I am confident they knew about this issue, cleared the check engine code, to leave me with the expensive repair bill. Should have known better after reading so many bad reviews. Will not ever be doing business with them again. read more

They ran my credit report more than once after misquoting me- refused to negotiate- we're incredibly rude (Joe is fine)- the plates took FOREVER and they could care less about you as a customer. Once they had my money- they could care less when I got my purchased car. I wish I had read reviews knowing what I was I was getting into. its a nightmare! Also as a yoinger looking female the person in finance spoke to me like I was not only a child- but as though I shouldn't be buying a car alone (I'm 37 and went to law school). I went and looked at an Aston Martin today. The salesman Tony was very nice. Road test went well, car was OK. Driving a convertible on a cold January day was as expected. Car was OK but nothing special. Tony said the car would go thru the shop Monday and I asked if I could get a report of the overall condition. He was fine with that. On the way out I was introduced to a sales manager? He was like from the 80's..."buy it now" it wont be available long....its a GREAT deal....spring is just around the corner...these cars are hard to find. No class at all, I got that sleazy yucky pressure feeling.., and why? I am a buyer for the car on reasonable terms. Typical lowlife used car salesman. What a shame. No way in the world would I deal with such a piece of crap. I wish I had come here to read the reviews first and saved a trip. All the bad reviews get credits!!!! I read the reviews and I decided to give them a chance. Here is what happened when I stepped in the dealership: they said the car is nonnegotiable on the price. And the car was in the showroom. So Joe said he would like to make a phone call regarding the price before let me get to test drive. Soon later, he said the manager wants to talk to me. From my understanding, the manager was the salesman, pretend to be the manager and told me the car is not going to move regarding the price. And don't wants to waste time to move multiple cars out of showroom in order for me to test drive it. I told them we can work on the price after I test drive the car. The answer was no. I think they might though that I was just checking out the car and can't afford to buy one. The good news is I made a deal with other dealership of a X6M with reasonable price. Today I tried to give my business to them for a second time, after having a terrible experience the first visit. Six months ago the owner ignored my husband and me (we look young) and then the owner scoffed at my offer when the sales guy made him talk to us and said that was impossible. I went down the road and purchased the same car for the price I had offered the owner. They lost my sale. Six months later, the car was totaled and I was again shopping for the same car. Since the sales men had been nice we decided to give them another try hoping the other owner would be in (we heard he was nicer). Again we went in with market research, made an offer and again were laughed at. We drove one hour away and bought the same car for the price we wanted. That marks the second time we were laughed at and the second time they lost our sale. Every bad review on here is accurate. If I could give 0 stars I would. Went here ready to buy a car that day and I still have no car. They changed my appointment time twice while I was already on the way because they needed a guy to come in and go get the car. When I arrived at the dealership I wasn't greeted by anyone i had to walk around the inside to find an employee. I was then greeted by an incredibly rude finance man ( I don't even know his name because he didn't introduce himself). I then waited 40 minutes for them to go get the car for me to test drive. I loved the car and wanted to move forward. The dealership was closing so they said they would call me the next day to talk numbers. I received no call. They kept "yesing" me to death about getting my registration and it took showing up there to finally get the truth in the place in Norwood. The people in Peabody are scum and try to screw you!! J was fantastic. He promised us new resurfaced rims, and delivered 100%. We were amazed at how they looked brand new. We had an issue with two of our tires having some dry rot, a week after buying we failed inspection. We also had a few issues with a leaky ac and temp gauge but those were covered under warranty. I came in, showed them and no question asked they ordered two new replacement tires. No big deal, because they stood behind us. I was weary in the beginning because of some negative reviews but after working with J and Jon I will be buying my next car there as well. I bought a 2013 Mercedes C300 and was initially quite happy with the interaction. There is a strong push to sell the car and get if off the lot. Went to pick up the car and Joe T handed me the key. I asked for the 2nd key and he went to look for it but could not find it. He said he would get me the 2nd key and it would be covered by the dealership. Keep in mind that these keys cost over $300 at the MB dealership, so I was happy that Joe realized that it is only fair to include the 2nd key, or at the very least take it off the final cost of the car. Joe also agreed to have some upholstery damage repaired - he would even come to my place of work down the street to get this done. 2 months later and several text messages back-and forth with Joe and there has not been any attempt to get this done. I also mentioned to him that after having my mechanic look at the car, the 2 rear tires were "bad" and would rattle at speeds over 60 mph. No response from Joe. I finally went to the dealership and spoke with Joe and the manager, who stated that they would not get me the 2nd key they promised. After arguing for 20 mins and them showing me a small sign in the store that stated they do not cover the cost of "spare keys" (they did not show this to me when I initially bought the car nor during any of my discussions with Joe), having the manager state I could pay him the cost of the key (less 25% - a special deal he had with Mercedes) and he would have the key available the next day, a gentleman from one of the offices came out and handed me a key that worked on my car.....they had it this entire time but never took the time to really look for it until I went in and loudly complained!! It makes me wonder if they have a little racket going on....they do not give you the 2nd key, have you pay them for the key at "their cost" from the dealer, and basically pull out the key from the back office when you come back and pocket the money you gave them. Let's face it, a reputable dealer would not even make having a 2nd key an issue! Having a 2nd key for your customer should be a no-brainer and there should be no signs stating anything otherwise. No other dealership does this. In addition, my torn upholstery and tires were never addressed, despite my multiple communications with Joe, who kept on promising me he would take care of it. Unlike other dealers, they have to outsource their work to other people, so they have no interest in trying to help you out once the car is off their lot. They epitomized everything you worry about in a used car dealership. There are more honest used car dealers out there who are more deserving of your business. read more

Even if you explain the exact same car is down the street with ten thousand less miles listed at the exact same price, they are still most likely not going to budge. I should have listened to the negative reviews. I bought a C300 from this place. During the test drive, the brakes seemed gone. They said after the purchase we will replace the brakes for free. Great! They use the Mobil gas station on Endicott Street. The owner is arrogant and rude and gave me the impression he hated working with Auto Mall. Anyway, he replaced the brakes but still, they didn't sound right. I decided to take the car to a Mercedes dealership. They put the car on the lift. Whoever replaced the pads at Mobil put them in BACKWARDS. So $400 later, brakes are right but car STILL feels weird. I take it to a friend who works at Honda. Runs the report on the car, comes back as a LEMON. Bring the car back to Auto Mall saying "no it isn't but we can get you into another car." Fine, so I paid another $2K for a 3 Series BMW. I test drive it for a whopping 10 minutes and the salesman is calling me saying I need to come back. Trying to hide something? I get back and take the car. Anything to get out of the C300. 2 weeks in, I feel a slight vibration from all 4 wheels. Take it to BMW, all 4 wheels are CRACKED on the inside. Take the car immediately to Honda and buy a brand new 2017 Sport SE. These guys are complete scumbags. It absolutely baffles me they are still in business. read more

The saleman was very slow to respond and the "assumed sales manager" kept asking if this was the car for me. How could you ever answer such a foolish question when the car wouldn't even start. Not all of their cars are on the lot, some are at a storage location. We dealt with Sonny, he was very helpful and nice. After a test drive we agreed on a reasonable price. And began the paper work, it didn't take too long, about 20 minutes. They even agreed to drive it down to our house 2 days later after the inspection for free! The only reason I don't give them a 5/5 is because the car came with no floor mats for some reason? It's going to be an extra cost to me. I went here last week with full intention of trading in my BMW 335 for a 2010 BMW 328 M-Sport. I spoke with David in sales and told him Id be there around 2 on Sunday, so he was expecting me. However, upon arrival..the sales guy David came out and introduced himself and pointed out the car. He let me start it up and he brushed the light snow off of it. Less than a minute later, he asked me to shut the car off because it had virtually no gas in it and had no dealer plate. He asked me and my girlfriend to come inside. Before doing so, he looked at my BMW 335 and started it up and took the registration. We went inside and he immediately wanted to do paperwork. No negotiating, nothing. He ran my credit and didn't say one word about the 328 I was interested in. Nothing. No history, no info about it whatsoever. He just talked about his family and how the dealership used to be a Pizza Hut. He and the finance guy came to me after waiting for almost 45 minutes with an insane interest rate and asked if I wanted to add my girlfriend as a co signer, to which I said no. David continued to ask and I said no 3 times. He eventually pushed us into it and put the paper work in front of her. We thought he would just run her SSN real quick to see if it would change the rate..instead it was another 40 minutes of waiting while David asked 50 other questions (where she went to school, how much she makes, all that). Again, during all this, I was not once presented any info about the car or offered a test drive. They made another offer and the finance manager had the nerve to ask me "you do like that 328 for sure, right??" Oh yeah, I know for sure I like it and want to spend $27K on a car that I started up and had all of 60 seconds to look at. During all this as well, the other sales guy took my 335 for a test drive to see what it was worth to them. I had to ask for my keys back to get out of there. It was highly unprofessional, high pressure, and it felt like I wasn't taken seriously. What a waste of my entire Sunday afternoon. I mentioned all of this to David but he couldn't be bothered to answer me in a return email. Oh well, I will take my business elsewhere. First time I went there looking for an Infiniti G, I didn't see one I liked. I test drove one and they tried to push it onto me asking me "what it would take to close the deal tonight" and seemed frustrated at the response that this isn't the car I want. They were supposed to call me back when a car scheduled to come in 2 days later would be in stock with the features, etc I was looking for. That call never came. Anyhow, I went back because the website stated that had 3-4 cars that would fit my criteria. None of them were in stock (apparently all of them were sold) and again they were like take this or take that, and all of the "recommendations" lacked features that I clearly stated I was looking for (navigation, backup camera, etc). I would not recommend this dealership to anyone, horrible service and all they care about is selling anything, doesn't matter if you like it/want it or not to them. Fortunately, the same day (after my second visit), I found exactly what I was looking at a great price from another dealership (Autobahn USA). They will try to push an extended warranty that they infer is a dealer warranty but it's a 3rd party that has very mixed online reviews. You can buy an extended warranty from a variety of co's at less cost and with much better reputations. Liars, liars, liars. When I asked about a price on Wednesday, they lied to me from the beginning. They first said that I need to come immediately or else the car will be sold since it's supposedly a hot item. I ended up going Saturday and showed me the car. The sales guy knew nothing about the car and when I was asking about the Bentley on the lot or any other car, he said they all were ugly and/or bad and the car I chose was perfect. Now if all the other cars are bad... He then continued by saying this car is brand new to automall and has been here for less than 2 weeks. We goto get the Carfax and it shows the car has been here for 6+ months and that there is no way this car has been here for only 2 weeks. In addition to this, check the mileage. It showed that the car was 24k when the automall received it and now it's at 27k. 3k miles for all the people testing or what not? Really now? I ended up paying a "premium" for a CPO at the Mercedes Dealer. Even though I paid a premium, at least they were upfront, told me that luxury cars were not selling fast at all and that it's a buyer's market. However since we have had the car we have had to have the whole steering column replaced at the end of December and now we just had to spend $1000.00 to have new tires put on and an alignment.
