I purchased a Mercedes‑Benz from Auto Max on 02/28/2026. Within minutes of leaving the lot, the check engine light came on when I stopped at a gas station just around the corner. I returned immediately, and Tony scanned the vehicle, stated it was the gas cap, and cleared the code. I was told to let them know if the issue returned. After driving home, the check engine light came back on, and I reported it. I brought the vehicle back six days later, but the issue has still not been resolved. So technically I had the car only for 6 days after the purchase. Since dropping off the vehicle, I have been paying for a rental car out of pocket. The dealership offered a second vehicle an Acura, but it also had issues. At this point, my calls and messages have gone unanswered. I requested cancellation of the contract and a full refund, including my $5,000 down payment, but have received no response. Sold a vehicle that blew up a month and a half after driving off the lot. They are still refusing to handle this and reconcile with us and avoid calls and texts. Had a mechanic look at it who put in writing and is willing to testify that if they had done an inspection and oil change on the vehicle they would have seen the shavings in the oil filter. Per the mechanic shop the vehicle should have never been put on the lot. Less than 2k miles put on it and the car needs a new motor that will cost just as much as the car. Poor service, safety issues with cars, lack of inspections. Tony sold us a service contract that will only cover $5K of a $14K job. I have requested several times to cancel and refund this contract and again calls, texts, requests ignored. save your money for somewhere more reliable and trustworthy. read more

BUYER BEWARE.. This is the WORST place you can buy a car. Tony and Christian will say anything to get your money. Tony and Christian knew I used my car for work and needed a reliable car. Tony sold me a LEMON with a Service Contract that cost $3,000. I had my Subaru for 40 days and had to get my car towed to the shop. The heads needed to be replaced. It took 3 weeks to fix, which I had no vehicle to get to work. I put my car in the shop for a second time and it cost over $1,000 in less than 1 year. It needs more repairs. My service contract was cancelled and I was stuck to pay the full amount. Tony swears how good the service contract was. Don't buy a service contract from Tony. Christian won't answer the phone and if he does he ponds me off to Tony the owner who is Useless in getting the DMV paperwork. I had to take more time off and file a complaint in person to the DMV. I had to drive to the car lot to pick up my registration and it had the wrong address. I called Tony and he told me he would get the correct address and never had heard back from him. I purchased a truck with them a month ago, and I have not known suffering as I do now. I had Tony force a car on me, and it has ac that only works on the freeway, something that has killed the battery over 20 times even after I bought a brand new battery, and the electrical is faulty so I have to manually unlock and lock the doors. I have tried contacting them on several occasions and they have not responded yet. Today I am sitting stranded with a big ass lemon in my driveway that I have to pay $13,000 for. Thanks Tony for being a pushy and shady salesman. I can see if I had paid one or two thousand for a car, but I should at least have a running car for $13,000. He's nothing but a scam. He's the worst person in the world to buy a car from. I'm met many great people from Russia, Serbia and the Ukraine that treated me with respect. I have kicked out $3,000 additional dollars for repairs. I ​kicked out $400 in less than a week of having the car. The rim was cracked so I would have to ride around 45 minutes to an hour after delivering 400 packages just to find a place to pump up my tire every day. I called him two or three days after purchasing the car telling him that it was leaking some type of fluid. Come to find out it was transmission fluid it got to the point where my car wouldn't even change gears because of all the fluid being gone and since it's a Cadillac there's no maintenance. You have to take it to a shop because there's no transmission dipstick. If you want to keep your dignity and and feel like if you did something right don't buy a car from Tony. ​He acts cool but he's a wolf in sheep's clothing I had the utmost respect for this guy and now I don't have any. He would answer the phone until he learned my number. He was supposed to debit my card for $1500 but he took out $4,000 and it put me in debt and now having to pay all of this I can't pay my rent or insurance or even car note. All cares about is himself. He d​on't care about you, your livelihood, ​your family or what you're going through. ALL he wants is your money. He was promising to help but it was all a front. He even called Mr transmission like it was all good just to pacify me and then when it was time to help they called him over and over and over and over and over as well as myself and couldn't get through to him. His bank and the dealership had discussed the payoff amount and what not. They were very UNPROFESSIONAL because they were talking a lot of shit to him. Mind you, my boyfriend is from stockton, and stockton has a lot of people whose grown a spine. They had said things like threatening to fight him, called him names, etc. One guy's name is adam, the older guy, I don't fucken know. Not only did we find things wrong with the car after the fact (aka they're liars), but they had withdrew money from his account WITHOUT HIS AUTHORIZATION. They first lied that they said that they didnt do it even though it showed on his online account. Then they said that they refused to return the money. Then they said that someone else was to call him back, and of course, never did so. So now we had to go and file a claim with our bank to settle the matter. Sales person told me the manager will get in contact with me with pricing because he or she did not know. Next day comes around and still nothing. Texted again and got the same answer. At first I really liked this family owned business. When we first arrived, we were greeted with smiles and the customer service seemed fabulous. Fast forward, I've now had my car for a few months and over time I have noticed that more and more things were not disclosed to me regarding my vehicle. Many things are breaking or do not work at all. When I first purchased my car it was summer, so I didn't check my heater, but now that it's winter I have discovered that my heater doesn't work. This also causes issues for effective defrosting. Today was the first day it rained since purchasing my vehicle and, come to find out, my rear windshield wiper also doesn't work. Before I purchased my car, there was a piece on the back that includes my rear camera that fell off and needed to be fixed. They did not replace it with a new piece, instead they glued it back on. I didn't know this until the piece fell off and was hanging by the electrical cords, with the evidence of glue. They also stated that they were going to replace the broken mechanism that adjusts the driver side seat. But that also fell apart a couple weeks after I left the lot. Upon examination of the piece that broke, I discovered how they "fixed" it. They screwed holes into the plastic and used black zip-ties and screws. They even went as far as to camouflage their work by painting the screws black. SMH. This is not how a business should be run! Unfortunately, all of these things have panned out over the last few weeks and months and my 72 hour window to return my car has closed. I am now stuck with the bill to repair all of these things that should've been addressed correctly by them. I really liked my car before it started falling apart and I really wanted to like this dealership, but unfortunately their integrity isn't what it seemed.
