We are traveling through San Jose and were in desperate need of a car wash since there were bugs plastered to the windshield since Arizona. I saw the bad reviews, but needed to take a chance anyways since it was close to where we were. I'm glad I did! They did excellent. We're driving an SUV, and I was expecting to pay more for the size, but he said nope, still 20 dollars for the basic. I was pleasantly surprised. So I cleared out the vacuum area and the guys went to work! Cute little gift shop to browse around while you're waiting. I'm not sure all the negative reviews here are justified. I drove in here for an exterior car wash ($10.99), a day after driving over a can of tar. The staff were friendly and helpful, despite not being able to get the stain off my car body. The guys in charge gave recommendations for how to get the stain off, and were honest about how much they could help me. Other than the stain I drove in with, the rest of my car was shiny and clean. Are you kidding me? For their Silver service ($23.99) - the windows were smudged and the console was not wiped down. The car was still dripping wet when I got it back. The only reason I gave two stars instead of one is because the girl who vacuumed the rugs did a great job. Waste of money! read more

Very honest employees at this car wash, and I have been to many in my 43 years of life! My son's I-Touch was somewhere on the floor of the car (had been "lost" for a few days) and when I got my clean car back, the I-Touch had been placed in the cup holder of the front seat :-) I will definitely be returning to this car wash next month! read more

I have been using this car wash for over 6 years at least once every 2 weeks. I've done quick wash to full detail and not a single time had a disappointment. If any on multiple instances they were able to remove a minor scratch or do something beyond the call of duty. This place is really great. Been coming here for a few months and feel that the price is fair for the wash. More than the wash is the great customer service. I told them to just wash the outside. I said "DO NOT vacuum the interior" 3 times to the guy checking the cars in and he said "OK" every time. I went in to pay the bill, came out and sure enough 3 guys are vacuuming the interior of my car! After the wash I drove away and realized my bluetooth earpiece had been stolen! Sure I shouldn't have left it in the car but that doesn't give them the right to steal it either. I would have called in to report it but I know they wouldn't do anything. Nice staff but did a poor job hand washing the SUV. Then I had to walk around and point out spots that needed wiping or drying. The grill had soapy water in it too. They don't even have an air hose to get all the water out of the nooks and crannies. read more

This is the best car wash I have found on the peninsula. As the previous posters said, they do miss a lot of stuff. The attention to detail is not that good. But like I said, it is the best car wash I have found in the south bay area. I wish I could find a true full service car wash like they have in LA and Orange Counties, where you drop your car off, have lunch and come back to a car that looks like it is brand new. The car wash here is OK and it is not as busy as Lorenzo's near San Antonio. The service at Lorenzo's is definitely better, but I think my car was shinier leaving this place! This place has gone downhill. Even the managers don't care. I used to take my cars here regularly . For the last few times they barely do a cheap gas station style wash and soap and dirt not removed properly after paying $26. And when you complain the guys who clean the car after the wash don't even try to remove them. They don't care if you talk to.the manager as they don't seem to care about him either. It's worse when its a bit more busy. They offered a second round after already waiting for 20 mins. But if someone doesn't do the job when its already in front of their eyes , what's the point. They don't even bother to just spray and wipe it down when you complain. If you are there just watch them how long they spend wiping everything clean compared to some good competitor car washes , when the car is out of the wash after paying $25. Never again. The manager doesn't even discipline his workers even after he sees what's wrong. read more

Got my car washed here today, and am very disappointed, unfortunately. The "Silver Special" took them about ten minutes, but the car was not clean when they were done. I didn't think to check properly before I pulled away, but even as I put some gas in on the way home I noticed that there was still dirt on the exterior and some inside too, so I ended up having to clean it myself just now anyway. Not sure why I paid so much :( Edit: Well, I tried this place again more than a year later, because the location is so convenient. Once again, I find myself washing my car myself when I get home. I've been using this service for several years - regular washes (Silver package) bought via coupon book they sell at a discount - and occasional detailing. Staff has always been pleasant and helpful - they even recognize me as a semi-regular. Price seems reasonable to me for a basic car-wash - they will vacuum out the trunk if you leave it open. I make it a point to watch for my car to come out of the process and then grab a towel and go over it for bug poop etc. Time spent seems about normal, have rarely spent more than 25 minutes start to finish, even with a crowd. I've used the "exterior only" option a few times and it is a bargain. I refer my friends to Auto Pride for a decent job at a reasonable price. If you want more, get your car detailed. read more

The person who took my car for full service was first charged $101 ($26 for full service +$75 for hand wax). After waiting for one hour, the car was returned with only the interior cleaned. "How come you didn't clean the outside?" The cleaners said "That's another $75 dollars! ". I didn't know a full service wash is only the interior. And how do they "hand wax" the interior? No comments right? Taking advantage of gullible people is definitely not the way to do business. read more

I paid for the service to have the inside of my car cleaned and it reasonably took an hour. I tipped an extra 10 bucks. The guy kept looking back at me as I backed up to drive away. I thought maybe he didn't like his tip. When I got home I realized he had snagged my gold dangle earrings which I left in the ashtray!. Do NOT take your car here if you value the car at all. I have a brand new F150 truck. They put scratches all over the hood of the truck by standing on the tires and leaning over it it wipe it down. They also mossed several spots in doing so. They also did not complete the work before trying to give me the truck back. They did not pit the dressing on the dash or outside of the truck until I pointed out that I had paid for it by showing them the receipt. I will NEVER take any vehicle I own back there to be cleaned again. read more

Just tried Auto Pride Car Wash for the first time today. I tried the silver level service. When I got home, I saw that two of my rims were dirty. It seems pretty basic that for $18.99 (and that was with a $5 coupon), they should be sure to make your rims nice and clean. I'm very disappointed. read more

No car wash is perfect - much depends on who is doing the finishing touches. That said of the several car washes I've had at this location, Auto Pride does a better job than competition at delivering a consistent, clean wash. There is a 10% chance you may not like it but they will happily fix it to make sure you are happy. read more

I been here especially at Redwood and Santa Rosa locations they are ok. I've been at better washes and detail services. The best one for me wash in L.A. What this car wash is missing is a true authentic detail and car wash Salesmen. I think that so important. A spoken individual the speaks clearly and has education.
