As my previous review states, my aunt was looking at a Subaru Forester AWD wagon for her crazy winter and summer mountain/country trips and so she'd come all the way from West LA in order to check the car out at Cypress Motors' Fullerton location... after finding out that the car was actually located at this sister location, my aunt and I were personally escorted by Henry Kim and introduced to the team here. We first met the GM here, Mike Ramirez, and upon introduction, he came off as a genuine, funny and charismatic guy. Not your typical sales manager and that made us feel at ease. He took the time to ask us (my aunt) questions about what she was looking for, why she wanted that specific model and to get a good feel for what her needs were before he jammed us with his own idea of what she should buy. We were offered soda/water (thanks!) and were introduced to Kevin Le who was as professional as they come in this business. Kevin walked us to the car, took the time to find out about my aunt and what she expected out of a vehicle and then took us for a test drive. During the test drive, he didn't overpower the conversation; instead, he allowed for us to speak between ourselves (in the front seats), even when my aunt criticized a couple things (brakes felt a little spongy and one of the window switches were slow to roll up). Once we got back to the lot and best believe my aunt gunned it (lol, old lady has soul power!), Kevin let us talk outside about the car and the deal before coming back to meet with him inside. My aunt used her own financing because she's a credit union member, but she did opt to check what rate and APR they could get her -- it was pretty much on cue with the CU (surprising, but then again not, based on her credit!)... to make a long story short, Mike and Kevin cooked up a swell deal for us and my aunt drove off with a new beautiful Subaru. They even threw in a new set of tires and brakes as well as had the driver's side window switchplate replaced (at Fullerton) about a week later at no cost and without any warranty upsell of any kind... I was impressed. I gotta say, I am not a fan of the car buying process; it's probably as exciting as going to the dentist for me... but these two guys and the team at the other location in Fullerton really made us feel at home and went the extra mile to *earn* our business. I'm in a lease right now, but I'll be back to purchase a car here, especially based on their higher-end inventory. Can you guys get a '59 Eldorado in for me? ;) read more

My wife decided she would take it upon herself to purchase a car after her Honda was severely damaged in an accident, on Monday 6/22/20 I got a call at work from my wife to inform me that she found a car but the dealer would not take a check, I spoke to Juan and was told that they do not take checks which was a huge red flag, and told him that if it was me i would've walked out, what legitimate business won't take a check. My wife's first language is not English she gets by but misses alot of things, she went back with cash the very next day and bought the car, when I got home from work I looked at the paperwork and saw a $900 charge for a lojack I asked my wife what that was, I know it's a vehicle location system but was sure she did not know and was not told of this add on, and was right she said she had no idea what it was she bought the car from Juan obviously not an upfront or honest man. I was told on wednesday that he was not in that day so I called back the following day and was told he was out so I asked to speak to the manager, junior a real gem I'm sure according to the fake posts, any way I explained the lojack and my wife's language issue and he immediately knew who I was talking about and the the car I was talking about. I have never spoken to this person or been anywhere near this place and did not tell him which vehicle I was talking about, this clown immediately knew who my wife was, my wife's very heavy accent that is hard to forget, he proceeded to tell that they had explained it to my wife but he was not present, I told him that my wife did not know what it was or what it did and that they knew this to be true to which this clown chuckled, I told him that this was a very shady and unethical way of doing business and was hung up on. These people cannot be trusted they are crooks and con men everybody do yourselfs a favor and steer clear of this bunch of crooks, as far as the obvious BS that will be posteod by the so called owner STUFF IT you sold an older lady who you knew didn't understand what the he'll you were pulling something she didn't need, want, or ask for. Where do I start I have had the worst luck with cars the past month well actually my "fiance" had bad luck with my cars I purchased a 09 Mercedes a month ago and it was a total loss leaving me with an open car loan and hard to get another car without a Co signer wich is not easy for anyone willing to do so I was desperate for a car then purchased a 02 audi of a used car lot wich was not nice at all but it got me around but it got impounded not worth getting out I live an hour away from this location and Stephanie and her manager reassured me that they would be having me drive off with a car and they did they managed to get a finance company to finance me even with my open car loan with no cosigner and a very low down payment and very low monthly payments they did everything they can to work with me and they were awesome about it I ended up leaving with an 07 Ford Focus in immaculate condition if you are looking for a car I would definitely recommend this place all of their cars are in immaculate condition it was a very easy and stress free process customer service awesome everyone was great as soon as I'm done paying this car off I will definitely be purchasing another one with them thank you Stephanie and to the rest of your crew for helping me read more

I can honestly say this dealership was amazing and the customer service was beyond incredible. After being in an accident in which my car was totaled I found myself carless and in desperate need of one. I spent weeks searching online and finally came across a 2014 Honda Civic at the cypress location. I called to inquire about the car and set up a time to come look at it. It was everything I wanted and more! It had all the features I wanted and was in excellent condition, well maintained and very clean. Big shout out to the manager Jose who gave me a great deal I couldn't walk away from. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful and I was so happy to have such a beautiful car after the ordeal I had been through and weeks of searching. I just had to write a review for this great dealership. I had been searching months for a kia Optima Sx. Somehow every time I found one that I really liked, it would immediately get sold. Luckily I found this dealer through car gurus. It had the make, model, and year of the car I was looking for. Right off the bat when I called, Angel the sales representative, was able to answer every question I had about the car. That Same night I made my drive from the San Fernando Valley to Cyprus to check it out. Immediately when I pulled into the lot I saw the car parked right in front ready for me to view it. Angel immediately came out to greet me. He Gave me a little tour of the car, test drove it, and gave me the car fax report. Right after, we went inside to complete the paperwork. knowing that my credit score was terrible I was extremely nervous about getting approved. Wow... Can't believe a small place like this can make a BIG difference when purchasing a car for the first time. Have gone to many dealers before making my decision and by far this place along with the staff are absolutely awesome!!! They are very friendly and know how to treat you like a person instead of just another pay-day! Gone to a few other dealers which I will not mention how much I wasn't treated like a serious buyer because I was young and a first time buyer. It seemed like everyone was just trying to take advantage of me (being a girl) and them not really knowing that I am a bit brighter than your average girl that knows nothing about cars. All the places I visited were dishonest and lied about practically anything to get me into a car. But this place by far is the most honest and upfront place I've visited. I just bought a 2016 Chevy Malibu today. Amazing experience. They had washed the car, gave it a full tank of gas. Provides all information, gave us TWO test drives. The salesman name was JOHN. He was very thorough in explaining everything, had a great attitude, was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable.. also they only go through very good reputable banks when financing! No shady deals here. All the cars they showed us were thoroughly checked and maintained. The manager JUNIOR who helped us file all the papers was awesome. He carefully explained in depth the financing and great warranty they offered us. He was very patient and knowledgeable with all the questions we had. In short this place was exactly what we were looking for and needed in the past month. They exceeded our expectations, assured us and gave us confidence in any questions or doubts we ever had walking into there! Out of 5 stars I give this place a solid 7! read more

Let me start by saying I was not a fan of the car buying process, but this experience was painless. I had visited several other dealerships prior to going to Auto Republic, so I was aware that each dealership has potential add on costs not listed in the advertised price. I called AR before I went in and I was provided with what would be included in the "out-the-door" price. I read some of the other reviews and see this is the issue some people based their ratings on. However, since this seems to be standard, I would recommend a call in advance so that you can know if the car is within your budget. Having said that, I dealt with both Juan and his manager Junior. Both were very friendly, helpful and compassionate to my circumstances. The deal was completed promptly and I did not have to spend hours working through the process. Don't buy a car from this place they cannot be trusted! Typical bait and switch used car dealer. We bought a car from them on 8/30/16 everything seemed fine at the dealership and when we test drove the car. After buying the car and driving it home it started to make a high pitch whining noise that would come and go when the engine was running. We took it by our mechanic but they could not tell where the noise was coming from by just looking and listening so now we have to pay more money for our mechanic to determine and fix the issue. When we called Auto Republic to see if they would be willing to address the problem they just told us you bought the car as-is and that they are not willing to even look at the problem to see what it is or have their service department look at it. What a bunch of rip off artist. I had my reservations about buying a car from a place like this I guess I learned my lesson the hard way. read more

Could not be more satisfied!! This place is such a blessing. The team there are kind, honest and insistent on helping you find exactly what you're looking for. I was referred by a friend who'd gotten a couple of cars from Auto Republic. She was excited to take me because she knew without a doubt that I would be taken care of. My old car which was a 1996 Toyota Camry had its share of MAJOR issues and was finally at its ending point, and not having transportation is definitely not an option. Right away, Stephanie greets us. Super friendly and down to earth! She was genuinely interested and honest in helping me weigh out my options, as opposed to some salesman who try to rush through the process. Let me just say my search for a car was a long and unending journey. I went to at least 4 or 5 different dealership that all did the same bait and switch, so by this point I was pretty done. My mom had got a car from them probably 12 years ago and she always said it was her favorite experience she's ever had at a car dealership. So I decided to try them out, I started out on the phone with Lilly, she was so sweet and helpful but she took a few days off and like I said I was pretty done with my car search, so I went in and I sealed mostly with Bill, he was awesome and I could tell that he knew right off the bat that he was going to sell us this car, without any negotiations so that was great. To the point, we had a great experience at AR Cypress. Salesman Javier was friendly, knowledgeable and was able to get us the answers we needed on the car we wanted. Being, we were buying a used car, we wanted to have it checked out by a reputable mechanic. Javier said no problem, I can take it over and drop it off for you tomorrow. This was impressive and a great service provided by AR. Javier took it to the mechanic first thing the next day, we were sent a report on the car that afternoon and purchased the car that evening. Amazing group of guys! Had a great experience purchasing my truck from them. Inspected the truck and it was in almost perfect shape. Connected with them via Car Gurus and they had the car we wanted waiting and everything was as advertised on the website, no unpleasant surprises or small print. Andre was very helpful in showing us around the lot at other options, nice selection, but ended up with our original choice. Very low pressure and very professional with us. The paperwork process was a breeze, had us in and out in a little over 30 minutes which is a fraction of the branded dealerships. They agreed to let our garage check the car out and they gave it an A for condition.
