What can I say about Speed Auto that has not already been said? Quite a few things, honestly. I found a 2015 Jetta they had posted and wanted to see it right away, with the way the vehicle appeared from all photos posted, to start. I had started my car buying process with the big dealerships, so I expected that my process of haggle and stress would be very similar when going to a smaller dealership, where as soon as I stepped foot in the door, I would not be able to leave without a hard-set commitment. This was not the case at all, and the process was effortless from point A to point Z. I worked with Jesse and Bret throughout the process. From the moment I stepped into the door, I was warmly greeted and welcomed as if I were a family member. These men are not only passionate car veterans, they are extremely down-to-earth and family-oriented. Jesse patiently and thoroughly covered all questions I had about the health and condition of the vehicle, while Bret covered all available options with financing and clearly stated that his process of doing business is rather unorthodox, compared to bigger dealerships. By seeing that he was true to his word and process, any skepticism and anxiety I had immediately dissipated. Bret advised me that if anything was not hard-set before closing, I had no worries; I could come back the next day and continue the process. Trust me, I feel that I cannot say enough positive things about my experience with these guys and the experience left me with a completely different view of giving my business to smaller dealerships. This review is long overdue. The least I can do is post a yelp review on Speed Auto AZ to share my experience purchasing a car from them. I am fairly new to the Phoenix/Scottsdale area and in a city where having a car is an absolute necessity. I did not have much time to spare in finding a reliable car that would meet my criteria: suits my style, and is reasonable in price. I shopped around at large chain dealerships, and browsed leasing options and sales. I was at the right place at the right time at happy hour of all places discussing my ordeal when this guy suggested checking out cars at Speed Auto. I checked out their website, saw some of the high-end cars I really liked and called Mike. Mike was personable and friendly, and genuinely wanted to help me find the right car. I looked at several cars, and Mike was so kind and patient through the process. Financing with Tim was simpler than I imagined it would be. Like Mike, Tim was patient, thoroughly explained the loan application process and I felt a sense of relief knowing I was in good hands with my finances. The people at Speed Auto AZ took great care of me. I purchased a gorgeous Audi, have not had any issues, and my monthly payments are well within my comfort zone. I am glad I waited to write this review... Well I went here because I saw they had nice and clean cars on the lot. We worked with Mike and Tim and the shopping experience was great, they explained the cars to us and the financing process. I was happy with they fact they were able to get me approved for my BMW because the car was a bit out of my price range. So customer service side I was very please. Well within about a week of taking it home, the coolant light turned on.. I thought well maybe low on coolant.. Nope. My garage floor was covered in coolant. I thought to myself, "no way did I get scared into buying a messed up car." Well in fact I did. Took it to my mechanic and come to find out that this dealership put some kind of product in my coolant tank to prevent the leak from happening while it was on the lot. By the time I took it home the product wore off which caused the leak to start happening again. My mechanic now has to fix this coolant leak, but also tells me this product they put into the coolant tank basically ruined the tank which is now costing me even more money than if it just had a coolant leak. I'm very disappointed in this place, as I left the lot thinking they treated me fair. Please do go to this dealership, I couldn't imagine what they do to car with more serious problems, and the money it would cost to fix. Never recommending this dealer to anyone. The epitome of a shady used car dealer. Everything that comes out of Mikes mouth is a lie and it's no surprise that the owner is worse. When I went to discuss the details of the transaction in the office, the owner came down with a stack of closing documents to sign before we even agreed to the terms. He stated that I just need to sign a couple documents in order for him to generate a quote for the interest rate. In addition, he covered the details of what was written on the contract with the top stack of papers and asked me to sign at the bottom. He then tried to charge me 22%. Who does something that bold? Ridiculous! In addition, they never upheld their promise to resolve the many issues on the car. The car was a lemon with nothing but problems. On top of everything, the car was delivered with an empty tank of gas. When I asked them to fill it up, they told me to come back tomorrow because they didn't have any cash. When I asked them the next day, they gave me another excuse. The owner just keeps saying "don't worry, don't worry" and then does nothing to help resolve your problems. I have never had any experience in any industry that was bad enough to compel me to write a bad review online. The absolute WORST used car dealer in the area. read more

More like scam auto az bought an evo 8 from here and it was put together for temporary use bought it for 13 grand from here n 9 gs later still not at a 100 percent when I complained mike the owner offered to help me but after offering to help he said my review was fake and that I was a rival dealership trying to hurt of business then after I responded again he told me the car with aftermarket parts is bound to have problems but there's no justification for me buying a car for 13,000 from them and having to put 9000 and still not able to get it right and on top of that he said there was no aftermarket parts when he sold me the car that it was all original bs. I am pleased to give this dealership and its representatives a 5 star rating. I had been searching nationally for a used Mercedes 500 SL that was well maintained. The two prior SLs I have owned strapped me with multiple costly repairs which required me to eventually sell the vehicles. Speed Auto had a 2006 500 SL that caught my eye. I contacted Jess Camacho and he sent me the CarFax and maintenance history of the vehicle in order to ease my concerns. Further he recommended an inexpensive pre-purchase inspection by an independent certified mechanic. I took him up on his offer and in 48 hours I received a comprehensive report complete with an evaluation analysis with 50 photographs. I was satisfied and I purchased the vehicle which runs like a top and looks great The business end of the transaction was equally as pleasant as a result of dealing with Bret Nelson, Bret was courteous, professional and responsive. I would recommend this dealership without hesitation. Bottom line is I am very happy driving this black beauty down the road with the top down and my silver hair blowing in the wind! read more

This weekend I visited Speed Auto Sales to take a look at and buy a 2011 Audi . I had the pleasure of having Andy as my sales specialist. It was comforting to actually have a salesperson that new everything about the cars the dealership sells. Too many times I come across salespersons that know less about their own cars than I do. My satisfaction, however, did NOT end there - both Andy and Speed Auto Sales were professional, courteous and accommodating. They are not pushy in the least, which I greatly value. The buying process was low pressure, fair negotiation and quick. The car, itself, is absolutely fantastic - I have not owned an Audi for about 8 years, but i am glad to be back! The finance manager, Tim, was also great to work with - he, of course, did sell me a tire protection and dent protection package but I feel more comfort in having the convenience in coming right back to Speed Auto. I've sold cars and trucks at a few of the major dealerships in the valley and understand sales. Most car sales people are trained to take control of the sale and quickly qualify customer's ability to purchase. At Speed Auto, my sales representative, Andy asked pertinent questions, listened to my needs and was knowledgeable about his inventory. The process was fast but thorough, from completing an online application, test driving and inspecting the Audi A6 to going through the contract with Tim in finance. I gave four stars for the facility rating, because the dealership is small, but uses the space efficiently to display a large selection of clean pre-owned imports and domestic vehicles. These men aren't your average car sales men who just want to make a quick buck. They go above and beyond to ensure that every customer that walks through that door is happy and gets the vehicle he or she wants. Speed has a nearly 5 star rating for a reason. Jesse and Bret are the best. I came in to look at 3 of their 2008 Mercedes-Benz E63's. They have an impressive selection of amazing vehicles priced fairly and in great condition. After 2 months of chasing cars around CA and AZ, Speed Auto Sales hooked me up with my dream car. Jesse was great at understanding what I was searching for in a vehicle and was very accommodating when i changed my mind about what vehicle i wanted to drive off in. My husband and i were in the market for a car last year in december, we pretty much walked by speed auto every day , extremely intimidated by all the nice cars didn't think twice about going over there, until one day we mustered up some guts and much to our surprise it was nothing at all how we imagined, our car buying experience was AMAZING, brett and jesse are the best, they were honest, not pushy, direct and sooooo fair and reasonable , I've NEVER EVER felt comfortable buying a car in my life.. I purchased my 2007 Audi S6 from this dealership about 3 months ago. I was told they checked the vehicle top to bottom before selling the car to me. A few days ago i noticed a couple things leaking from the engine area. I came in there asking if they could work something out with me. They're respond was " there's nothing they can do " i took the car to the Audi dealership in Peoria and asked them to check out my car. They gave me a repair quote for $11500.00. I figured i wouldn't run into any issues with this car for what i paid for it. This dealership only cares about moving product. They have no respect for customers once they signed the paperwork. Sold me a lemon. they sent the car to their friend who passed the inspection without looking at the car! just signed and gave the papers. The dealership said the car was HIGHLY ILLEGAL AND UNSAFE. they stole 19k from me. They say you have a 30 day return policy but i went back after 8 days just to make them give me a fair car and fix ALL the destructive problems and they pushed it to the side. Im so mad i cant even write a review. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE? I wish i saw these reviews before I bought from them. So I moved to AZ from Philly a month ago and needed a car ASAP. I found speed auto online and called to get some info on a Lexus IS. I ended up coming down with a buddy of mine the same day that I was not planning on doing. I went for a test drive and wasn't expecting to like the car as much as I did. I sat down with Tim who broke down my payments as I was looking to finance. I got info on how to avoid "buy here pay here" places and felt like I can trust these guys. I had a great experience here. I worked with Kevin on buying my Audi and from top to bottom, everything went smoothly despite having my 4 year old daughter and 2 month old son. My daughter even walked with a car of her own (albeit a toy car from the office, thank you Mike). Was looking to buy a used Japanese vehicle that could seat my whole family, called up and spoke with Andy. He understood exactly what I wanted. He did find a Kia Sedona 2006, a third row seater, for under $6,000, which he told me was actually a Korean model, but for all practical purposes, is just as fine for me, for I had plenty of past experience with all American made junk!
