This is by far the best auto repair place I've ever been to. The owner is the most honest, wonderful and efficient mechanic I've ever worked with. My mom had been taking the family car there since a family friend referred him in high school. Unfortunately, I had moved away to college and upon receiving the family car, was unaware of the amazing service I'd be missing out on while far away. The 12-yr-old car had a breakdown on the way home for the holidays this past year, so I got to experience Auto Technique for myself. All I can say is that they're AMAZING! My car was reaching an undriveable state and I took it in to Anthony based on yelp reviews. Admittedly, he didn't fix it the first time but I can respect that having worked in a computer shop in the past. He fixed it the second time though and, as a man of integrity, told me if this didn't fix it, he would refund the part. Fast forward 3 months and the part breaks and he replaced it for free! I came to Auto Technique because it was recommended by my brother. I am certainly not an expert in cars. I look for honesty, price, and quality of resolution. First time I came because my car started making a high pitch whistle. Anthony didn't make me wait. He quickly did some troubleshooting and found the cause. Within a few minutes he found the source. I had a small hose that looked like it was chewed on by some rats (at least that was Anthony's theory). He quickly replaced the defective hose and sent me on my way, with no charge! I offered to pay since I was a happy customer but he insisted it was ok. More recently, I came in because of my breaks. Anthony ran much of the diagnostics through computers and looked at the obvious, but it looked like resolution would be harder. He took the car in to the shop for a few days. It was like watching House in action. He called me a couple of times to give me updates on the progress and ask me questions like when the problem started and under what conditions I feel the break pedal pop. Anthony got the issue resolved. It seemed like an extremely fair price for the parts and the time he invested in to the trouble shooting. He thanked me for brining in the car when I did since you don't want to mess with faulty breaks. Bottom line, I really feel that Auto Technique cares for my welfare and my car's health. read more

My 2007 Honda Civic had oil dripping issues and Anthony helped me with diagnostics and repair. I was told in dealership that only a new oil pen will resolve the problem, but Anthony took time to take a closer look and wanted to leave buying a new oil pen as the last option. We have used Anthony for multiple vehicle repairs and have always been treated fairly and honestly. Today my wife's truck would not start and she was going to take it to Metro Transmission in San Marcos. She got a bad feeling they were going to be dishonest and charge her for more than what she needed. I had her call Anthony and he was immediately available to take a look at it. AAA towed it to his shop and after running through all the diagnostics he figured out it was an issue with the key sensor. I recently brought my 2007 Audi in for what had been diagnosed by another auto repair professional as a major transmission oil leak. This other company gave me a repair estimate of $2500. At the recommendation of a close friend who had used Auto Technique in the past, I got in contact with Anthony. He did what I consider to be a thorough inspection of my car, and advised that I did NOT need the major overhaul I had been told to expect. Instead, Anthony found the root cause of the problem - a much simpler (and far less expensive) repair. Anthony did a thorough inspection of my car and found several other relatively minor problems that, without a doubt, saved me a lot of future headaches and cost. In the end, Anthony completed all of these repairs at a substantially lower cost than the $2500 I almost spent for something that did not even need to be fixed in the first place. In short....I put a huge premium on working with a professional whom I trust and who has the know-how to ensure that my car is operating safely and efficiently. I took my 2003 BMW 325i because the check engine light was on . The temperature gauge was also reading a little high. Anthony has the latest state of the art equipment and quickly diagnosed all the problems. He replaced the radiator,thermostat and performed a tune up at a very low cost.
