A week later, the check engine light came back on. I took the vehicle back and left it for a day. I was again assured that the issue was resolved and was "only" charged for a part that was replaced, but not labor. Great! Today, the check engine light is back on. Unfortunately , I will not be contacting this shop to "fix" it for a THIRD time. The staff is fairly friendly so they'd likely be willing to look at it again; however, I cannot trust that they will finally fix the issue nor can I continue to spend my time and $ there. I have gotten the vehicle scanned elsewhere and it is giving the SAME CODE as the original and that the shop claimed they fixed TWICE. I was also told by another mechanic that this should have been a fairly easy and minor fix had it been diagnosed properly the first time around. Very unfortunate that I can no longer recommend this shop due to lack of reliability and/or expertise.

I loaded all the stuff into my truck and the person said "that'll be $200". I thought he was joking. And he said "no, this is a 2 hour job and we charge $100 per hour". Been going here for years for oil changes and etc but the last service was the last one with this…read morenational chain. Had a couple of problems in the past with this location and another one at rockville but it didnt bother me much. Its the last oil change where the gm said the oil plug was overtorqued and ive always had this serivce done at the shops. So i did my own oil change and oh boy. They dont tell you much. 1. Washer was stuck to plug 2. Smaller filter was used instead of recommended size 3. All original nuts missing for the oil pan shield. Given these, Im not even sure they have been using full synthetic oil. They always tell you to give 5star ratings but they dont do 4 star services. If you can,do a oil change yourself one time just to see how it looks like down there. Good luck.
