Auto Worx Inc has been servicing my 2014 Hyundai for several years. The owner Mr. Fakhoury is honest courteous and very professional. He will always let you know, up front, what your expected costs will be. He tells you exactly what is currently needed for repair and what you should keep an eye on for future repair or replacement. He doesn't try to up sell you anything. The most recent repair that my Sonata needed was a replaced headlight bulb, a flex pipe and a crack in the exhaust system. I brought my vehicle to Auto Worx for an alternator repair, which was completed successfully by the mechanic, Jose. However, during that process, my AC stopped working. Jose acknowledged the issue and advised me to return the following week to have it fixed. When I came back, the owner, Salam, told me I was given incorrect timing and needed to arrive earlier in the day. I recently followed up with Jose to schedule the AC repair, only to be told that Salam is now refusing to do any further work on my vehicle--specifically because of a review I had previously left regrading his communication style. That review was not disrespectful; it was a factual and honest account of my experience with him. It's deeply concerning that a customer would be denied service--especially to fix an issue caused during a prior repair--simply for sharing their experience. I have tried to resolve this directly and professionally. I don't expect or need to return to this business in the future, but I do expect accountability for the damage done to my vehicle while it was in their care. I hope the owner reconsiders and chooses to make this situation right. Otherwise, I am exploring further options to address the matter. Salam, Jose, and Will are all great and honest people. Salam runs a very fair shop, and you can trust that the team will work to make sure your vehicle is properly repaired. My family has been using Autoworx for the past couple years, after the quality of work at our old shop fell off, and you can tell Autoworx takes pride in their business/work. I love Auto Worx! I found them completely by accident because as I was driving back from a Target run, my car began SMOKING. We jumped out, ran into the Nail Lounge (another awesome place), and asked the proprietor if she had any recommendations, and she called Auto Worx for us. John looked at the car right away, let me know it was just a piece a plastic that was smoldering, removed it and we were on our way. I've been going there ever since for everything my car has needed -- oil changes, new drip pan, new exhaust pipe -- luckily it hasn't been a lot considering the age of my car. They're always incredibly responsive, honest and accommodating. I've never trusted a mechanic's shop this much, but this place and the guys who work there have never ever disappointed me. Owner operated business. Has great customer service and is helpful in solving problems with your auto. This business has been working in Norwood Park for Years and Years. I just came in for an oil and filter change and they could not be more customer friendly. You will have to find them as they work in the back of their Milwaukee Ave business. Had some grinding noise coming from my 2012 Hyundai. Called and spoke to Salam. He was courteous and professional. Turns out I needed rear brake rotors and pads. Work took 3 hours and price was reasonable. No pressure for extra work, but told me other stuff needed to be done ( battery, filters, tires etc). Very satisfied with job and cost. Had my car worked on for a simple issue. When fixing one part of my car, they broke another. They were NOT helpful AT ALL about fixing the problem they created. I've been going here for years. I always get what is wrong fixed right away. They call if they find anything else and tell you you the cost. They don't do anything without you knowing. I tell all my friends about them and they all keep going back. My son broke down near there not long ago, he had moved and was really glad he was about to get the car to them instead of someone by where they live. His girlfriend thought the price was to high (she never had work done on the car before), she said when she told her friends what they paid, they told her they got a great deal. I own 3 Toyotas. The newest one had just been wrecked in a rear end collision so I needed to get my oldest a 1991 Toyota Previa brought up to spec in a hurry. I was having trouble with the drivers door locking mechanism. I inquired at two dealerships in the area as to what the problem might be. I was told it could cost me as much as $500 or more for the part and labor. I used Google to see what the problem might be and several people mentioned that a spring in the door locking mechanism breaks over time and causes the mechanism to stay in the locked position (the spring causes the lock to open the door latch). The people in the forum indicated it was a medium to harder fix but the spring only cost about $1.00 at Ace Hardware. Well I usually go to the dealer thinking these guys are most familiar with Toyota vehicles but for $500 I thought I would take a chance at a local shop. Am I glad I did. The mechanic pulled the panel to determine what was going on. I mentioned the breaking spring issue to him and sure enough by using a magnet mounted on a telescoping rod he found the broken spring in the bottom of the door panel. He then matched the spring with a box of springs that they kept in stock and replaced it. Bottom line the door works fine. I was charged the quoted $75 and that was all. I was very happy with the repair, charge and the courteous and prompt service. I will use this shop again and will do future updates based on my experience but I hope I am not in a shop for awhile at least. I have done only one other review and that was for Vive Massage which I give 5 stars to also but I do not see the review there any longer. I usually review businesses in which I have a positive experience and I usually score them high but I believe that is because I do my homework before using any particular business. I have no problem giving a poor rating to a business that does not perform up to my expectations. read more

A truly hidden gem!! A friend of mine knows the owner and referred me. They could not have been more courteous and professional. Car was dropped off and fixed that same day. The services that they recommended (other than the things that were obviously in need of repair) were the only things that the car needed fixing (I knew this going in) and the price was so reasonable my jaw dropped on the phone when I heard. I never heard of this place, but found them on Google. I had them install an engine from the salvage yard into my 2001 Saturn. The owner and his son were polite and helped keep me abreast during the process. They installed the engine in about a day or so. My car runs great. No problems. No headaches.
