Let's be honest, you're rolling the dice coming here, and your odds aren't good. When I told the rep I wanted to take their van to a local mechanic for a pre-purchase inspection (PPI), he said "We're firm on the price, so there's no reason to get an inspection." Well, how about peace of mind as a good reason? Talk about a BLATANTLY red flag! I should've just walked away then, but this van was (seemingly) perfect for my family. The bad reviews are accurate, not a trustworthy business. I spent several hours reviewing a 2011 white Toyota Sienna Limited (if you happen to be looking at it) and the inspection came back with $3,700 worth of repairs needed. The mechanic was thorough, has great reviews on Yelp, and showed me pictures of everything that needed work, so I know he was legitimate. The suspension alone was going to take 11 hours to repair, and an axle needed to be replaced, among several other necessary repairs. Again, there is no haggling with their pricing, even when there's proof of thousands of dollars worth of repairs needed. Now they're aware it needs almost $4,000 in repairs, but I'm quite sure they won't tell the next unsuspecting buyer, nor lower the price for them. read more

Gotta start by saying I'm extremely happy with my purchase and got the truck for a good price. Bobby was very helpful and great to work with. I would go back. Now for the explanation for 4/5 stars. As others have said you buy the vehicles as is. I am a car guy so I was able to see many of the issues such as the tires being bad and suspension leaking fluid and having failed. Bobby hooked me up with new tires and purchased the new suspension and had it shipped to me. I then had to install it myself which was fine for me but maybe not everyone. The truck had power running boards that didn't work and had features that didn't fully work (power mirrors don't work). Probably the biggest downside is the local shop repainted the hood and half a door due to paint peeling. The paint job was terrible and didn't match the color and had lots of runs in the paint. It didn't matter to me but it made me happy their shop didn't do more work to the truck. Make sure you have someone who knows cars well before buying here. You can get a great vehicle for a great price but sales are as is. I have to reiterate, Bobby was great to work with. read more

***Buyer beware*** This lot does NOT do diagnostics on their cars before selling them so you cannot be assured your car will be safe to drive. We purchased a car with a warranty (don't ever get a warranty from a used car lot - we learned this the hard way). After weeks of replacing tire sensors, a key fob, window moulding, and multiple trips to the shop because of an engine light that keeps coming on, we finally found a mechanic that found the reason the car is running rough a couple months after we bought it - it needs the timing chain replaced (a $6,000 quote). None of the above is covered by the warranty that was sold to us. We contacted the dealer about the moulding a week or so after purchase and they gave us $150. The rest of the issues slowly started to reveal themselves over the course of 60-90 days. When we called to confront Bobby, because he told us the car was "checked over" before it left the lot, "safe", and that "diagnostics" were run before we purchased the car, he said there was nothing he could do because it's been a few months. Unfortunately, we can't control WHEN your cars fall apart. This was a car for my neurodisabled son; the first thing he's ever paid for himself. He is heartbroken. Such a tough way to learn that there are horrible businesses (and people) out there that will take advantage of others. Do not purchase a car from this place. Went to look at a vehicle earlier in the week, all seemed fine, went back a few days later to look at said vehicle again and the check engine light is on. I scan it and it's throwing a code for multiple misfires that they apparently "had no clue about" when I know how easy it is to erase a code so it seems like nothing is wrong with it. He said he wouldn't have time to fix it and offered to lower the price on the vehicle or give me $300 to "help fix it". I'm thankful I saw that before I made the decision to purchase the car. My 21 year old son wanted to purchase a 4X4 truck since moving to Boise, Idaho. He found a 2013 F-150 I went with him, not as an expert but for support on this exciting day. We test drove the vehicle, looked all around, under throughout the inside and it looked clean. We set with the sales person and asked many questions (I should have known by his demeanor that his was full of BS). This man assured me he would be safe driving back to Idaho, that the truck was clean and in great condition. We paid 10K for that truck. The next day when one of the huge tires looked a little low we took it to Les Swab who informed us that the tires were 11 years old and should not be driven across town let alone to Idaho. Called the dealer and he said he would pay 1/2 of the new tires. We replaced the tires and chalked it up to being a used car. Luckily, he drove the car back to Idaho safely. 1 month later the transmission went out and cost us $3000.00, when calling the dealer we wanted to see if they would share what the long term warrantly we had purchased would not cover. His response was "it's your problem now". DO NOT DO business with this establishment, they are shady and after reading other review I see this is a pattern. Auto Zoom sold me a car and sent me home in a vehicle that was illegal and dangerous to drive. I bought a 2001 Toyota Avalon and at about 55 miles post-purchase, the check engine light came on. I took it in to the Elk Grove Toyota dealership and they presented me with a laundry list of engine repairs, totaling more than $5k. They said that it should not have passed the smog test in its condition, was not street-legal, and they felt uncomfortable with me driving it even the 3 miles home. Toyota Elk Grove said there is no possible way it could have passed the smog check. When talking to other people who know about cars, they mentioned that it is possible to clear the car's sensors before smog checks, so that it passes. Let me be clear: I do not know if that is what happened here. I called Auto Zoom and told them about the situation, asking to sell the car back for the asking price, and they refused, saying the car was sold as-is and it passed its smog test. I asked to sell it back to them for the dollar amount I paid (excluding taxes and fees), and they countered with an offer that was $1.5k less. If I took the offer, I would have paid them over $2k for nothing. On the phone call, I asked how could the car have possibly passed the smog test if it was not street-legal and unsafe to drive. They referred me to the record of the smog test. I once again asked how it could have possibly passed the smog test, and read them the list of serious failures from the Toyota dealership diagnostic, from several leaks in the engine, busted sensors, to brakes that were down to 2mm. I was referred back to the passing record of the smog test. I am at a deep financial loss. The fact that I cannot drive this car/the cost of repair is impeding my ability to get to work to earn money to live/pay for the repairs, get to school and finish my education, and pay necessary expenses. DO NOT BUY FROM THESE GUYS!!! My mother bought a 2007 Yukon Denali Xl 1500 from these guys and paid cash . The car looks beautiful but we can't use it a week after buying hooked our camper up to make sure all the lights works and the brake controller works and after driving for 15 minutes the dash lights up with a check engine light and gets stuck in 3rd gear. We take the car to AAMCO and they tell us we need a new transmission $5800. We call Bobby and he is so sorry nothing he can do but offer to have us buy a junkyard transmission, and then have it installed by someone. The dealer has yet to call back to give us the name of the shop. I find it very hard to believe they had no idea this car had a problem. I only drove that distance to see this truck because their ad stated in "EXCELLENT CONDITION" after just 2 minutes inspecting the vehicle I realized the interior is so worn out and damaged they spray painted the damaged fabric seat covers to cover it up, the plastic panels were heavily scratched and showed excessive wear. Zero Stars ALL RED FLAGS What a bizarre and truly horrific experience we had here today. Buckle up for story time y'all. We arrived on the lot to see a truck we were interested in. Looked it over and decided to test drive. Guy took my DL photo and gave us the keys. Nothing was communicated about their test drive policies or rules. We drove it, we liked it, we decided we'd like to have a trusted mechanic take a look before making an offer. This is where everything got super weird. I called the dealer to let them know we would like to take the truck in for an inspection and what time we would be back and they FLIPPED OUT about taking the truck "all the way to Arden!" (12 miles) AND They don't want a mechanic looking at it Apparently when buying a 4x4 truck driving around a suburb within a 2 mile radius is sufficient Then we get a call from the mechanic that the dealer is coming to get the truck and plans on leaving us high and dry with our car at the dealership We headed back to the mechanic (shout out to Jeff at Auto Tech) and he says "wow that guy is an A-hole" We all nodded in agreement. On our way back I get a text that the truck is going to be reported as stolen Drove the truck back to the dealership, got in our car and left. My favorite part was when they sent an employee in a white Prius to try and detain us by stopping in in front of us and continuing to block traffic and cut us off They got the double birds and we had to evade the fearsome Prius to get on with our day. Stay away from this place, they sell cars from the auction and don't check them fully for problems before dumping them on customers. I traded in my 07 FJ Cruiser 4x4 and financed 2 cars with them and it's been nothing but a nightmare. I originally went in to see an 09 avalanche 4x4 and 14 Scion tC but ended up getting the avalanche and a 2014 bmw 328i because the scion had some noise they refused to fix. They tried pushing me onto a Mercedes C300 but that thing was rough and everything was telling me to walk away from it. I should have just walked away from the whole place but against my better judgement I did make a deal. The 09 avalanche has a slipping transmission in 2nd gear so eventually will have to replace that. the gas tank purge cylinder is clogged so it gets vapor lock when I get gas. It thinks it's full which means it takes 20 min to get gas in it with having to go super slow and taking the nozzle out every 5 seconds. The park assist reverse sensors and camera harness had to be replaced. The rear driver side window is messed up. The rear speakers are going out in it so need to fix that. it also has a misfire and oil leak. The 2014 bmw 328i was in a previous front end accident that wasn't disclosed on the carfax. Had to replace that hub on front driver side which was making noise. Then the radiator started leaking and the dealer told me to take it to neighborhood garage to get fixed. The shop then informed me and the dealer that it needed a water pump and thermostat on top of the radiator and was gonna charge just over 2k total. The dealership bought all the parts and I had my mechanic install it all, including the hub, for $850 out of MY pocket. Keep in mind I JUST bought this car and now having to dump money into it. Then once all the parts were in I still noticed the noise in the front. Found out the suspension was still messed up so had it taken back into that shop for diagnostic. Was then told it needed control arm bushings but then told by the dealership to take it out of that shop and take it to another shop that I pick out. When I pickup my car I have a check engine light on for overheating! this is the same code this shop said they saw which they then informed me I needed a water pump and thermostat to fix it...thats been done already sooo why is that code back??? Basically wasted my money replacing parts that weren't needed, I'm thinking it's a wiring issue from the accident. This dealer, Bobby, will give you crap the whole time your having to fix the problems on the car HE sold you. He will try to get YOU to pay for the repairs. Even the shop was talking crap about him and said he never checks his cars out before selling them, so I guess this is a common thing for him. Every time I called in to talk to him about the repairs he would bring up my trade in which was a nice lifted 07 Toyota FJ 4x4 which he only gave me $13k for. It had a code for an 02 sensor since the day I bought it from a dealership and had the 02 sensor but never got around to installing it. He claims it needed a catalytic converter which cost him $1600!! He says I was hiding that since the codes were cleared when I traded it in but I have an app on my phone and obd unit that I just tap to clear when it comes on. He even plugged in his scanner when I came in and said nothing, the IM monitors will show not ready after I cleared the codes and he said nothing about it. So if he asked about it I would have remembered and brought in the o2 sensor for him and or figured out something. He has repeatedly stated that I am the worst customer and that he doesn't know how other dealers deal with me. I am sorry that I don't tolerate being sold a car with issues and will do whatever I need to do to get those issues resolved. Looking at the other reviews on here I see I am not the only one having to deal with this so I don't feel bad for this review. Also keep in mind that I NEVER brought up the issues with the Avalanche with him, just the BMW. I Was paying for the repairs for the Avalanche out of my pocket and will eventually use the warranty to cover the transmission when it fully goes out. Do better Bobby and look over cars better before buying them and tell customers how the warranty works and when it starts before telling them to try to claim repairs on it too early. PS: Don't let him finance you with Onemain financial because they screwed me over. They gave me a secured personal loan vs a normal auto loan. Now I can't refinance it and can't get a personal loan with this one on my credit, which I planned on doing. They also broke many e-document laws which I am now going to use to invalidate the contract since they refuse to fix it. read more

Just bought a 2006 GMC Sierra Z71 package with all the bells and whistles. It's a nice truck don't get me wrong. I drive 6 hours to buy the truck. Test drove it and ran fine. Stopped in Reno to get gas check engine light was in for knock sensors took it to a very highly recommended shop in northern neveda and got a 170 point inspection done, there was codes that was deleted off the truck, broken spark plug in cylinder 8, oil pump was fried and had a bottom end knock, ball joints need to be replaced. Towed it to a shop in Reno that is very highly recommended and had to replace the motor. Auto zoom argued with me over the phone and the guy I spoke to about these problems treated me like shit and hung up the phone. I have all the paper work from both shops to what was done to it. They lied and said the truck was in tip top condition which was not. I will be going to BBB with this. read more

I recently went to auto zoom to look at a 4runner. I called 5 days in advance to schedule an appointment just to be sure I would receive notice if it sold before i got to visit the dealership as I was driving from 2 hours away. When I arrived I was walking around the lot and no one had greeted me or offered help. I then chose to track someone down and inform them about my appointment. The first thing this guy said was "Oh it sold yesterday". Not sure of his name but he offered very little of an apology and didn't seem to care about not letting it happen again. His excuse was "our employee is in training"... training or not it is NOT hard to make a phone call and provide a potential client that small courtesy. Huge waste of my time and 4 Hours of driving back and fourth. I also learned my own lesson and will be sure to call again in advance to ensure a vehicles availability. Besides the lack of basic, minimalist professionalism the bathrooms looked like they hadn't been cleaned in weeks. They had just opened and garbage cans were still overflowing with trash. I live in Antioch and had to drive out multiple times on days they said to stop by and sign papers to put the car back in my name and they said I was approved from another finance company. I recently bought a Jaguar XF from them and am extremely happy with it. It's clean, drives like new, and is exactly the car I was looking for. I went to a dealer after a couple private sales went south. I absolutely love my car. But absolutely loathe this dealership. They are comparable to Matildas Used car salesman dad that had scheme after scheme to rip off his customers. First of all I was not informed this car was purchased at auction. That In it's self isn't a bad thing but it's obvious they didn't have any mechanic look at it before it was placed on the lot. The first and largest issue I found out about 100 miles down the line is that someone had try to remove the gas pump. I'm doing so they "pried" off the cap damaging it. Then the fabric all around (under back seat) had oil hand prints all over it. They were unable to pull it out and instead put a hole in it. So instead of having a professional fix it, epoxy was used to seal it long enough for a sale to go through and me to get far enough away. $1600 fix a month into ownership. Second every time I locked the doors I would double honk. For two weeks I drove it to shopping; parked in busy store lots and at work etc. After going through some of the settings there was a (turned off) button to add a beep sound. So I googled why mine was different. Turns out all this time the passenger door lock wasn't fully engaged so remained unlocked. I was lucky I didn't keep anything In there. But they could have just said, "hey, you have to push this lock closed." It wasn't that big a deal the part cost $20 off eBay and I fix it myself. The last two things have to do with the body. Since this was a auction car the front bumper has Beaty points on it. Meaning parts where there might have been an accident and paint missing they paint it with something close but just with a regular brush. Because from a distance bidders could then not see the damage. (Also this isn't their or the auctions fault but the bumper at some point was repainted and it was a poor job, so now the paint is flaking off or spider webbing out) Lastly, and the real reason I changed my review from 5 stars to 1 star. The car was missing it's gas cap cover. It was new on the lot with a special price when I bought it so they added in the contract that they will replace the gas cap. It took 2 month before they even got a ship date. I called 3 times a week. They told me that it was a common part that broke on these cars so there is a high demand. When they said that I called Jaguar who told me they could have the part for me the next day. So this is when they reveal it's not a Jaguar part is a third part part from wholesale. Fine at that point I didn't care I just wanted it fixed. Once they got it they said it had to be painted (it was black) my car is pearl white/cream. I get the part and by the time I am able to take it to my mechanic to put I on we find out they painted it stark white. Bright white. So they had told me to tell my mechanic to send the bill to them., after going to Jaguar with the part to find out it doesn't even fit my car, I'm adding the price of the new part. I've now had the car for about 6 months. I still love it. It gets polished and cleaned almost everyday. But I don't believe the dealer was safer then private party sales. Do I recommend them? Well they do have nice cars at good prices. But you have to look at them with a fine tooth comb. So I just suggest saving your money and finding somewhere more reputable. I walked on the lot noticing a used BMW I might be interested in. I proceeded to walk up to the office after getting no help. I spoke to a sales rep asking if I could drive the vehicle. He then ask If I was going to pay cash or finance. I told him I wasn't sure want to drive the vehicle to see If I even like it. He then told me before I could drive the car he would have to run a credit check or I would have to have a letter of proof of financing. He stated it was policy. I purchased many vehicles some right off the showroom floor and never had to do any of that. I'm going to get my credit dinged just to drive a vehicle I may not like. My wife and son bought a car from these apparent swindlers four months ago... a day later malfunction lights started coming on. Shortly thereafter it stopped running altogether, necessitating MULTIPLE tows at our expense. It was only after we had an independent repair check it out that we learned 1) the engine was not original and its VIN didn't match up, which was never disclosed, 2) the wiring harness (over $1,600) had been poorly installed during the replacement of the engine and was completely melted and fried, and 3) the electronic control module needed replacement as well, another $1,500! The car has been from one shop to the next, inoperable for three and a half months of the four we've owned it... and every one of the shop managers told us we bought a lemon and should just get rid of it any way we can. BUT... we can't even GIVE it away or get a pick-n-pull to take it because Auto Zoom 916 was derelict in their duty to file any of the necessary paperwork when we bought the card (per CA DMV). Our pleas with Auto Zoom 916 have gone unanswered... the refuse to acknowledge any wrongdoing whatsoever. Honestly, the CA DMV should pull this dealer's resale license. Don't bother to read the seemingly "good" reviews, as they're likely written by Auto Zoom themselves; instead, read the negative reviews, as that's what you'll experience if you buy a car from them. read more

Run, run, run away. They do not tell the truth, they are rude when they are in the wrong and you complain about it. Car had no oil in the dipstick We live in Nevada and sales person said they would "figure out" how to get it registered here. Well they charged us $309 to register it to our NV address, with CA plates and then said that's how it is done, so I had to turn around and pay to register it in Nevada the next week, wasting $309. You can't insure a car in one state and register in another. Dealers in Roseville do this all the time and never make a customer pay twice to register. Told us that Westlake "required" GAP insurance to finance us, but that is against the law and fraud, so we requested a refund and have still not received it. We requested a copy of service contract that we have on the car and for a copy of what DMV fees went to, but still have not obtained them. **Update** 11/15/2019 When the bank rejected the contract, due to our issues related to the dealership and us withholding the 1st payment until resolved, the dealership insisted we return the vehicle and that they intended to file it as a repossession and keep our $3,000 down payment. We live in NV and a contract here can't even be declared in default until 30 days late and we are not even 20 days late. "Bobby" the manager won't speak on the phone and when I try to reach the owners, Razia and Abdul, they "aren't available for you". We are a family of 6, who tried to negotiate in good faith, so having both our car and our $3,000 taken is beyond devastating. Most dealers would just do what is right, refund the down payment and move on, but these guys are predatory, malicious and vindictive. If you value your family, your money, your credit and emotional well being, DO NOT walk in their door. Also, in another bizare event, Bobby at AutoZoom told Westlake the vehicle was totaled in an accident and they opened a claim to try and collect monies, yet the vehicle has never been in an accident of any kind. To verify that statement, you can contact Mario at Westlake FInancial, 866-619-2524, as he just called me 5 minutes ago and verified the insurance claim was initiated by the dealership, fraudulently. That is beyond comprehension to me. Cory at Geico says in all his years, he has never encountered this type of conduct by a dealership. We have filed complaints with the Attorney General for insurance fraud and with the CA DMV for false and misleading sales tactics, but hope that this review helps you avoid having to take those steps. The saddest part in all of this, all we were asking for was our CA DMV fees to be refunded, since we had to register it twice and that is only $309. We are even current on our loan, as per the Westlake website, so all of this just seems silly...... 12/10/19 Updated Dealership, even though payments were current, considered this a repossession, just because late (even though violation of CA law) Offered to reduce our balance from $8700 to $6000 if we paid in full. We figured it out and paid the $6000, instead of having our $3000 stolen from us. Not everyone would have been able to do this, so please be very wary when dealing with this dealership. We are still waiting for the title and refund of the $325 payment that we made, but I am sure those will both be battles... read more

All I can do is tell you about my experience with Auto Zoom 916 and honestly it started a bit rocky. I saw a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland edition SUV online and from the pictures it was gorgeous, absolutely perfect inside and out. When I got to their lot the pictures did not do the Jeep justice. It was cosmetically perfect with the exception of 1 small blemish on the rear passenger door, I was amazed that it was a 2011. The tires were just replaced, it had been gone through, cleaned and looked gorgeous. It had just come back from SMOG an hour before I got there, I checked the engine compartment serpentine belt and hoses and they were in good condition. I got in, started it up and the engine sounded good. I checked everything, the heated steering wheel, heated seats, windows, the air conditioned seats and the A/C in general, the stereo, the functions on the steering wheel, back up camera, all the motorized seats, the floormats were in perfect condition, the spare tire compartment for the jack and tire...everything was perfect! I took it out for a road test through the residential part of the neighborhood for about 20 minutes, gas'd it as much as I could up to about 45mph and it drove and sounded perfect. I drove it back and bought it! I've never been to a place that was this organized, I was done with the paperwork in 20 minutes. I asked if there was any sort of policy where if the SUV had an issue I could bring it back and trade it in and they laughed and said, "Our vehicles don't do that, there won't be an issue." Well unfortunately 2 weeks after owning the SUV the check engine light started flashing. Knowing I bought the vehicle "As-Is" I attempted some minor repairs myself and went in and complained about it. I admit, I was angry and hostile but they still worked with me and cut me a check onsite for the amount I spent, didn't even ask for the receipts. I've never had a place do this for me and I've owned some real piles if you know what I mean. Unfortunately the work I did, didn't take care of the issue. I took it in to several mechanics and they all told me the problem was inside the engine and that it would be cheaper to replace the engine then to repair it due to labor costs...my life all around was collapsing and now the new used SUV I bought is needing a new engine less than a month of owning it. Needless to say I called Auto Zoom 916 and let them have it! I didn't hold back and hung up on them. After I cooled down, I called them back and we talked, they asked me to take it to their mechanic and they'd pay for the diagnostic...which I did on a Friday afternoon. I was so let down, so angry, I didn't even want it anymore. All the excitement of getting a new to me SUV was gone and it turned into my worst nightmare. I didn't call the mechanic back, I didn't call Auto Zoom 916 back at all, I assumed I'd be paying for a new car payment each month for a SUV that I couldn't use. I was so frustrated I wanted nothing to do with any of it any longer. A week had gone by and then Auto Zoom 916 reached out to me and said..."Dave I got some good news, we don't normally have these issues with our vehicles and we couldn't let this happen to you...we're going to take care of this for you and make it right!". I can't begin to explain how much of an impact Auto Zoom 916 has made on my life!!! When the hell have you heard of a Dealership going this far above and beyond what they needed to do?!?! I bought a used car from Mel Rapton Honda that caught fire with my 8 month old baby inside, had to pull over, get my daughter out and watch the car burn after 2 months of owning it. I went in to Mel Rapton Honda and they seriously, called the cops on me to get me off their lot because they refused to help me so I went to all their customers on their lot and told them my story and they all left. These guys at Auto Zoom 916 made my year!!! I can't explain enough how grateful I am to them for helping me through this potentially bad situation. I'd recommend anyone and everyone to Auto Zoom 916. They are a dealership that stands behind their word. I'm not gonna list the costs for the repairs but believe me, they were exceptional and they spent over 30 hours of labor on my Jeep all to make it right for me. They completely rebuilt the entire engine compartment and all new EVERYTHING!!!! These guys stand behind their word and I can't thank them enough for what they did when they didn't have to. I love this freakin Jeep, it's the nicest thing I've ever owned. read more

Would nvr recommend, transmission went out on car I purchased from there, because I trusted this dealership a couldn't afford their warranty I was basically to "to bad, tough shit u ddnt get warranty", pretty sure even with one it would of been a nightmare dealing with them. Fully expecting to purchase the car, I drove over an hour to this "business". I had my entire family with me including my newborn baby. We were in desperate need of that vehicle at that price. When I got there, guess what? "We sold it yesterday, but there are other cars to buy." More expensive cars. Total bait and switch job and/or lack of professionalism.
