I'm currently giving it to stars because I am keeping my fingers crossed that we get this issue resolved....We purchased a used car from Auto Affari @ 7606 Folsom Blvd Suite C Sacramento 95826 and worked with a salesman named Murtaza Ahmed. We never had any indication that the car had no coolant and the engine blew on day 3 after purchase. I have documented everything.... Purchase day 7/31/2019.... After test drive the tire light came on and they said they would like to find out the cause and had us come back to finish the purchase. They said they fixed the tire issue, all they did was reset the warning light and let us drive off... Within 5 min of driving the car, we let them know the light came back on... We took to Les Schwab and they found a puncture in tire we had to fix.... Engine blew up Saturday 8/3/2019.... Monday 8/5/2019 we towed to Dealers preferred mechanic...They said they could not do the work for weeks as they were backed up and told us to have it towed somewhere else.... Towed to BMR 8/7/2019 - attached is the findings from BMR... BMR also said you have to have coolant in the engine for a sensor to even give warning. There was never any indication of the car overheating. Therefore it is fair to say the repairs made were incomplete by the original mechanic. Warranty Company dined case due to no coolant 8/9/2019 Sales ad says all repairs done in the last 500 miles....Yet the text messages says he drove the car for 1000's of miles and that is why the auto mechanic will not cover his work even though the receipt provided shows no details. Dealer said they are not responsible and neither is their mechanic and we received the receipt from Dealer showing the work claimed was performed. Text trail shows Dealer changing his position and avoiding any responsibility. Also keeps saying he will help with repairs yet it is now 8/17/2019 and zero progress has been made. read more

My experience with AutoAffari and Ali was amazing. I really loved the communication that Ali and his wife had. I called on a Monday morning asking about an Infiniti M sedan that they had. Ali told me that they still have the vehicle in their possession but it was not on their lot. Ali said he could get the car ready for me if I was serious about purchasing the car. I told him that I am a serious buyer and that I was coming from San Jose. Additionally, I was told about a few lights that were on the vehicle, specifically the 4WAS (4 wheel active steering). I told Ali I was fine with the lights after doing my research, and we scheduled to meet around 2 pm. Ali even called me an hour before hand telling me he was getting the car ready. After I got to the parking lot, I saw that the vehicle was parked out front, and Ali came and greeted me. He gave me the keys and let me check out the car as much as I wanted before we took it for a test drive. After we started the test drive, we noticed that the vehicle was low on gas. Ali told me to drive a few blocks away to get some gas and he would guide me. Ali got half a tank of gas for me while I was test driving the vehicle because it was very low. That is amazing service. The 5 star service from Ali does not stop there. After the test drive, we talked for a few minutes. I told Ali that I have the money ready, and I wanted a small discount on the sales price and I would buy it there. Ali agreed and we went on to sign the paperwork. Ali's wife did an excellent job at preparing all the paperwork for me to sign. She explained every single document and what the purpose of it was. She was patient, and professional. Later Ali offered water for me and my father. During the paperwork process, Ali went to find the second spare key for the Infiniti, which I had completely forgotten about, but not Ali - he did not forget. The paperwork was done in about 20 minutes. It was fast and smooth. My family has purchased three new vehicles in the past decade or so, and this was the fastest and easiest transaction out of all of them. This was my first time buying a used vehicle, and Ali and his team made it very memorable. I will definitely be back again to purchase another vehicle should the need arise! read more

Guy seemed cool about the car at first until I told him I wanted to get a diagnostics done from manufacture's dealership and then he ghosted me and told me the car was sold. I wasn't able to test drive the car because of a "policy" they had. I recently purchased a 70k corvette and they let me test drive that without any credit check just as long as I had insurance and a license. And the fact the car they were selling was bought at an auction made me more worried about the condition of the car. I'll take the knock for not getting the car officially inspected, but even with a clean title carfax stating 49 service records, no more than 24 hours after purchasing a 125k mile 08 335i the N54 ate the drive belt through the crank seal. All due to an oil filter housing gasket leak they could have fixed any time. The lady in the office literally said "oh please contact me if you have any issues with the car"... Sent her a text like 20 minutes after it happened and didn't hear anything back. Not surprising. Every vehicle shown to me had multiple undisclosed issues including major body damage, interior damage, electrical damage, mechanical failures, and fluid leaks. The salesperson would hype the vehicles up and then backpedal and make excuses when any severe issues were discovered. Some of the vehicles seemed borderline unsafe to drive, including ones with damaged E-brakes. As the appointment went on the salesperson dropped their veneer of polite friendliness and became standoffish and rude. A terrible experience, avoid AutoAffari at all costs. read more

TL;DR: This place is run by two very nice and generous salespeople! They only accept appointment visits. Curbside parking only. In our case, the car price was slightly negotiated. Will offer to refine used cars before purchase. Even if you aren't knowledgeable about cars, they seem happy to offer you the facts you need to make a confident decision. Me, my brother, and one of my relatives visited this place by appointment to personally check out a Craigslist listing for a used 2005 Toyota Camry LE. Despite being around 30 minutes late for our appointment, the salesperson, Ali, still drove and parked the Camry out for us to check out. He allowed us to test drive the car and open the Camry's trunk and hood to check for leaks and other defects. Ali mentioned he doesn't clean the parts under the hood, because if he did, then customers would be suspicious of him hiding oil leaks and other problems (which, in our case, there wasn't). We felt completely comfortable with Ali as he didn't push us into buying the car and answered all of our questions honestly and knowledgeably. He showed us the Camry's Carfax report so that we were informed of its crash history (which was clean, in our case), ownership history, etc. We also told him that we were going to check out another used car not from AutoAffari. He generously gave the Carfax report of that other car too, free of charge! Just before we were about to purchase the Camry, my relative asked if the car was smog-checked. Ali found out that the Camry wasn't smog-checked, so he smog-checked it while we were filling out the paperwork for the car. The paperwork went smoothly and the atmosphere of the office wasn't too serious. The environment inside and outside the building is peacefully quiet and isn't very crowded, as this is a small dealership run by two individuals. They gave a 5,000 mile warranty for any defects with the car. The warranty only applies with their auto shop. They were also kind enough to drive the Camry back to our house, with us leading them there. After the car was delivered, we gave our farewells with genuine handshakes and smiles. A memorable and pleasant experience overall! ADDENDUM (3/4/19): Had to contact them about a squealing problem on my Camry. From my experience, you will get a reply if you call them instead of send an email or use their inquiry form on their website, but don't expect one of them to pick up an hour after opening and before closing. read more

Buyers beware! Bought a vehicle from here in December. I was told it had a new transmission put in and it was under warranty for 6-months (he had receipts to show). Within 2 months of owning it I had taken it to the mechanic that had "replaced the transmission" 3 times and was told every time that the transmission was fine and it was an older car that sometimes shifts hard. I eventually took it to a reputable Volkswagon dealership and they confirmed my fears that the transmission was the issue. I had gone back and forth with auto affari on how to handle this situation and at first he was very understanding and willing to help. However, after letting him know the mechanic he chose to have the work done on the car wasn't willing to honor his warranty, Auty Affari stopped answering any of my phone calls and has since completely ghosted me on the deal (it has been over a week with no response.) Unfortunately now I will have to come out of pocket for a transmission on a car that I haven't driven more than 500 miles.
