This place is dishonest and a scam artist. My son purchased a car from them and I his last car was in my name because I bought it for him. So, I had to sign over the pink slip for the company so he can use it as a trade. They kept trying to have me put my id on file wanting to make a copy of it. I refused I told them they can look at it to verify it's me. But no copies. The way they kept pressing trying to bully me left a horrible taste in my mouth. I advised them you can press all you want but I don't have any business with your company that's going to be a NO. He wrote down my id # and I went on my way. Soon after with in a couple of weeks the car broke down. They advised that if I took down my Google review they would fix the car for free. I said no, so they started threatening. I still said no. 0 stars review. Ugh, I'm only writing this review to save the next innocent person from purchasing cars from JALA Auto Sales. This is the worst car sales place ever. The first red flag should have been where they ran my name wrong for my credit. Now I have a dink on my report . They literally told us they had a slow month and hadn't sold a car in 2 months , that should have been my 2nd red flag . Drove home in my car. 2-3 weeks later the car started to have issues it began to overheat and it needed an oil change. Went to jiffy lube , took care of the oil change. A week or so later, the car overheated again , even after I got the oil change! I Called the owner to tell him about the issues, he had an attitude had an awful condescending tone over the phone told me there is nothing he can do about it. Got it looked at by a trusted mechanic and said that the car might need a new engine because the 6th cylinder needed to be replaced. Every few months I would go to the owner's shop to discuss the car's issues and get some help. It's been almost a nightmare of a year with this car. They sold me a car with problems. I am a first time car buyer and I have had a terrible experience. This place sells cars with problems and then blames you and tells you you caused it. Please don't buy cars from here. I came into Jala a couple of days ago looking for an SUV, they had a pretty good inventory (some stuff was out of my price range but keep in mind, i'm BROKE lol). Was looking around the lot for a little bit and was eventually approached by Niko. Niko was super welcoming and didn't come off like a pushy sales guy. Told him what I was looking for and my price range and he suggested a few options, we quickly found a 2014 Buick Enclave that looked in great condition and we went off on a test drive. Once we got back from the test drive I went in to speak with the manager Wadee about what the numbers were looking like for the Buick. The first thing I noticed, which I really liked, was Wadee's transparency throughout the whole financing process. His computer screen was completely turned towards us so we could see the whole breakdown of our possible payments/interests rates and made it a point to slowly explain each and every number, what it was going towards, and showed us a few different ways he could help us with getting lower payments and interest rates. The Carfax on the Buick were excellent, never been in an accident, nothing salvaged, the car was definitely no lemon. Another thing I appreciated was when I decided on the Buick, before moving forward Wadee reminded me that there are other cars on the lot and I dont need to feel pressured to jump straight on the first car I liked. Everyone here was super nice. They're selling cars, so of course they're going to be a good salesman, but nothing about this place was like the typical pushy sales guys that we all hate. Ended up going ahead with the Buick, Wadee was nice enough make a call and get me $500 of my total price and was able to get me a really good interest rate with lower payments for someone with not the best credit. This was first real car purchase and I had no idea how the hell any of this worked but everyone was informative and walking me through step by step. Vasu, who also works there, said if I ever have any problems with the vehicle or need something fixed I can call him and he'll personally take care of it. TLDR: Our experience with Jala Auto Sales was great. The team connected us with a great car at a great price. They went above and beyond for us. We will definitely be back. The deets: Our commuter car (not purchased at Jala) broke down and we suddenly found ourselves car shopping during our work week. We were shocked by the prices of used cars at dealerships in our area. We found a car via Craigslist at Jala. It was a couple thousand less than the same cars in our area, was basically new/single owner/had low mileage. We were really attracted to the price, but Jala is about two hours away from us. I called Jala and Wadee offered to hold the car with a refundable and affordable deposit. We opted for that and he immediately texted me my receipt. This gave me peace of mind while I looked at other cars for the rest of the week. Having done our research, we went to Jala on the weekend. The car was the same price as the listing, looked great and the mileage matched the carfax. There was a minor dent that had occured on the lot, but Wadee offered to either get it fixed or give us a reduction in price (this has happened to us before and it's not a big deal). We asked him to get it fixed. He also agreed to get the tires rotated at our request as the car was nearing 40k miles on the odometer. Getting financed was very easy and quick. Wadee even texted one of the banks to negotiate a great interest rate. I did bring a credit card for the deposit out of convenience. I recommend bringing cash as I had forgotten about transaction fees. This was an oversight on my part. We purchased the car and left it on the lot so Wadee could arrange the repair. He was very communicative during the week and held the car for the weekend when we were ready to pick it up. We just got the car today and they did a phenomenal job with the repair. I can't even tell where the dent was. The tires were rotated as promised. They also carefully detailed the car, so it looked brand new. We were extremely impressed. Some things to consider: This is a used car dealership. They have stock that caters to a variety of price points. We decided to spend a little more and buy a newer car to reduce the risk of it breaking down shortly after purchase. We've had that happen to us in the past and it's just a risk that you take if you buy older cars or cars with high mileage. Some of the reviews about the guys that work at the dealership are unflattering and from several years ago. They do occasionally swear so bring some pearls to clutch if that bothers you. I got the impression that was their way of connecting with me casually and was fine with it. I'd encourage anyone nervous about previous reviews to give them a chance. The crew is now in their early to mid 20's, so they would have been young when those reviews were written. They have now grown into professional salesmen, and we found them very helpful. We especially found the Saturday crew to be a welcoming group of men to work with. I definitely plan to be back in the future. read more

This review is almost 2 years in the making. I've stopped myself multiple times from posting this but I've had it now. Waddi could sell ice to a snowman but BUYER BEWARE! When the salesman is fast talking and quick to say you're "family", RUN! Against mine and my husband's better judegement, we helped our soon to be 18 y/o son (no credit) purchase his used "dream car". He drove it home (5 miles away), down the street to show it off to his friends and whip it through the Dutch Bros drive thru and back home only for it to literally stall out in the driveway. Reluctantly, Wadi "allowed" me to tow it back to them (at my expense) although it was obvious he didn't want this car back since I didn't have a warranty. His mechanic did his thing and got it running. The car runs fine but every fix is something MAJOR. Yes, I know, when you buy a used car, you're just buying someone else's problem so it is what it is but the latest issue makes me feel like it's time to warn others of the shady BS you may experience by buying a car off Tin Can Alley and not a reputable dealership. My son took the car to get smogged (first time since owning it). It failed the visual test and after a lot of time and money, he has now been told that the air box doesn't even belong to this car. It belongs to a car with no air pump. Since he now works for a car lot himself...a reputable car lot...he knows that many shady car lots typically have someone that will illegally pass a car so these lots can get them sold and the buyer is none the wiser for 2 years until they try to smog it. My advice is that if you have to purchase from this lot or any lot on Fulton Ave, bring your own mechanic to inspect the car before spending your hard earned money. And ask for the Carfax because our car has been wrecked and most of the front end has been replaced with shitty aftermarket parts at some point in time. read more

I generally don't trust dealerships (or write reviews). I feel dealerships are modern day scam artists. I came to Jala to see if I could trust them and after several "tests" they passed! Test one: my car was dead. Their auto mechanic, Issa, brought it back to life and got me back on the road. Even towed my car from my house to their shop (note: they are not even in auto mechanic business). I told them I wanted a specific car (test 2) that they didn't have on their lot and to sell my vehicle (test 3). They went and found that specific car and sold my old vehicle for me. I noticed a truck online sold at this dealership at a very good price. I called and talked to a guy named Carlos, he was very nice and informed me that his boss was driving the truck & couldn't sell it right away. I was willing to pay all cash for this truck, as I had sold 2 trucks in the previous week. I wanted a newer truck and I had the money to pay in full as soon as possible. I asked Carlos to call me on Monday so I could at least place a deposit and have a chance to look at it. He never called me back on Monday, I called twice and both times was told he wasn't there or he was showing a car. Tuesday, call again & another guy answers the phone. I ask to speak with Carlos since it's now been a few days. I ask about the truck listed & he says it has been sold! Thanks for calling me back bro. You lost a customer that was willing to drive 2 hrs and pay in full. If the truck was already sold, you should've said so and not kept me calling everyday to check on it. The owner, also the mechanic, does an inspection and does needed maintenance or repairs before cars go for sale. I bought a low miles, one owner car in fantastic condition at a good price. I came in with a pre-qualified loan and they used their connections with local and big banks to find financing for me that almost matched my pre-qualified loan so I could drive the car off the lot that day, which is what I did. The employees, two of whom are the grown sons of the owner, were very courteous and nice to be around. It was easy to tell that the people who work here are proud of what they do. My husband and I'm first time buyers with okay credit scores so it was tough to getting approved; however, the sales rep whom I don't even know his name, tried his best to get us approved. I didn't feel rushed whatsoever. I was given a quote before making any decisions. The car fax was also given to me and the sales rep says we can always come back after we put some thoughts into it. Absolutely not worth the hassle, we came here because they posted an ad for a 2004 Ram 2500 diesel they didn't even know the details on it, there was an obvious grinding noise when engaging the 4wd considering the rest of the truck was in Good condition and my connection with a dodge dealership we looked into purchasing it. The ad that was posted was $16,995 and they tried to tell us they would take $500 off the deal and sell it to us for $17,495... when we told them about the ad we had to go back and forth and argue simply to get the listed ad price. They said it was a mistake and they were removing the ad, that's not how to do business they were willing to loose the sale over $500 and they were your classic used car dealer attitude. My recommendation to any consumer is to stick to ur gut and when something isn't right just walk away. I hope no one has to deal with these guys and if u so purchase with caution and know ur rights as a consumer. Do ur homework & don't put up with that shit. Classic bait and switch scenario and there just isn't any reason for it especially over $500. If any salesman calls u sweetheart especially when ur there with ur husband or boyfriend just leave that's ur first sign they are completely full of shit.
