Autocraft NW is far and away the best game in town. I live in NW and like to keep my money in the neighborhood, but I would drive to Tigard for this kind of shop. A more than friendly staff, highly skilled mechanics, and an ethical approach to auto repair keeps me coming back every time I'm in need. What's more, they have a large enough space in front of the shop for a tow truck to easily and safely maneuver in and drop your vehicle in a parking stall. If you want to feel confident about where you have your vehicle repaired and/or serviced and you want to keep your money in the neighborhood, you'll find no better place to do so. (I'm a grad student that's had a very long traumatic history of LA-horrid mechanics that do live up their dishonest reputation.. I was extremely nervous when I waited to hear the "estimate" - and I nearly cried when Jesse said "nothing!" - and I was like "what?!?!? - how?! Are you sure?! what about the light?!" He very sweetly explained that it just needed a restart and that the headlight was just a wiring issue - all he had to was tap it?! I never write reviews on yelp but after coming here I I knew I had to!! The team here was so nice, friendly and quick! They helped me right away as a drop in and even came out a few times to give me options and ask what I wanted before proceeding - not common in all car shops. At the end of my visit I also had Dave assess a crack in my break light (not something that needs an immediate fix but wanted to get a price estimate for future). He told me he would order the price for me and check different places to get the best deal. I loved that! I will come back here for whatever my car may need in the future! read more

I will start by saying I almost always do my own work on my vehicles and that I would bring my vehicles back here any day! My GMC Jimmy started leaking antifreeze everywhere just as I arrived at work. Luckily these guys were nearby, so I was able to drive there before my vehicle overheated. They not only gave me a great price for the repair, it was really quick too, they had it done before they said they would! Then a couple of days later when it started leaking antifreeze everywhere again. I had to have it towed there. Turned out it was a hose. Not only did they fix it on the spot for me, they ordered me a new hose, which I put on myself the next day, and only charged me their price for it. read more

One of The best experiences I've ever had with car maintenance. My daughter lives in Portland but I'm from Chicago. I was in Portland driving her car I knew she needed front brake pads. This place is beyond honest. I'm a woman and many places might assume I don't know much about cars but I know a lot about cars. The owner was extremely accommodating on no notice and gave me an unbelievably reasonable price with great service and fit me in with my hectic schedule. I have never had this kind of an experience in Chicago. everyone in Portland should go to this mechanic. you are so lucky to have a mechanic this honest and reasonable in your area. Small, family owned shop, with friendly, experienced, and highly competent mechanics. I've had years of great service from Autocraft NW, and recommend them strongly. Also, though Yelp says they're closed all weekend, they are usually amenable to service by appointment on Saturday, and they'll generally let you pick up your car after their official closing time. read more

I wouldn't recommend this garage to anyone. My check engine light came on 2.5 years ago and I brought my truck in and they kept charging me for things and the check engine light kept coming on. I had to bring my truck back in 4 or 5 times. They couldn't figure out the issue. It was frustrating. I brought my truck in a second time because I had an issue with my clutch last year and they replaced the slave and master cylinder and i kept having the same issues. The parts they were using kept breaking and I kept having to take it back. In the end after all the money I spent on my truck it is in the same state as it was before I brought it in. I brought my truck to another shop and have to pay AGAIN! for what i already payed them to fix. read more

We had to get our car fixed that day and this place did a great job and fixed our car when all other places said it would take the whole weekend.
