On the call, he gave me a very thorough rundown of what would happen on the day of the inspection. He told me the price of the service, and even offered to perform the inspection without me present to save me drive time. The day came, Courtney showed up on time, and the inspection was carried out. It took about an hour. He checked every conceivable item including test driving it. He gave me a concise review of his findings and opinions of the vehicle, and I ended up moving forward with the purchase. I am now very happy with my vehicle, and I have Courtney to thank for it. i reached out to jeff regarding an attempted break in on my car. jeff came out to my car, took…read moreapart the steering wheel column to see the damage and what needed to be replaced. then he charged my dad $300 for an hour of work, again all he did was take my steering wheel completely apart. he said he charges $150 and hour, but the reason he charged my dad $300 was because the next day he was supposedly going to get the parts and he was charging the extra $150 for driving around to get the parts. i left out of town for a week and jeff had known this. when i get back into down for three days straight jeff tells me he is going to come out to my car and he would literally say "ill be out today" and would never show and not tell me he wasnt showing. he pretty much scammed my dad out of $300. i'm not sure if the job was too advanced for him because he is a mobile mechanic idk if they can't do as advanced stuff i literally don't know, but he left me hanging and i had to go somewhere else. i feel like he took advantage of my situation and my dad because i am alone in portland and im 22. my dad doesn't even live here and was being nice enough to help me. to charge someone $300 for work you didnt do is ridiculous. if your rate is $150 and you were there for only an hour then my dad should have only been charged $150 for the time you were there. i ended up taking my car to the shop, and the total repair cost at the shop was lower than the service i would've gotten from jeff. thought he tried to convince my father and i that he was cheaper. this really sucked because i am by myself and to be left hanging with no car, and lack of communication is very disheartening and scary.

I had my car towed to the Tune up & Carb shop to have the carbs and engine tuned. After I got my…read morecar back, it ran horrible and was very hard to start with backfiring. Being a car enthusiast, and knowing my way around under the hood, I checked the timing, and it was very retarded which was the cause of the backfiring. I also found three spark plug wires that were disconnected. There is no way that the carburetors and engine could have been tuned or calibrated in this condition yet the invoice specifies that the timing and carbs had been tuned. I called Tony and told him what I had found. He said that He would refund my money. I didn't want to bring the car back to him because towing had cost me over $700 round trip. After this Tony did not keep his word on refunding my money. Hopefully I can prevent someone else like me from losing their hard-earned money. I am out a total of $1500. Stay away.

Luckily I spent time asking other shops around town for quotes on this type of repair. Rene came back with the lowest quote by far. When I scheduled the repair, he did not ever request for me to prepurchase anything. I braced myself when Rene called me on the day of the repair. But to my surpise he said "we don't see anything wrong with this clutch". He test drove it, had another team member test drive it, and determined that any repair was unnecessary. I offered to pay him for the time and effort, but he would not charge me! In summary, Rene has earned my trust and will get all of my future repair business.

Chris said he would do it for me and he would drop the car off in the O'Reilly parking lot after he was done (which is exactly what he did). Came in for a new transmission, broken AC and a leaking tire. Was told it would be a week, which sounds good as that was every time line we were told from other places we called. A week goes by and the parts still weren't in, again I mean that's just shipping and it happens, can't really blame the shop. After a week and a half they install the new transmission, but said there was something wrong so they kept working on it. Another week goes by and they say they need to order ANOTHER trans. At this point we are very frustrated as we needed this vehicle back 3 weeks ago. But I mean who knows what is really going on so we just hang tight. Finally, a MONTH later, we get a text that the trans was replaced and good to go but they didn't have time to fully fix the ac. Didn't have time? You had it for a month and decided until the last day to look at the AC. They replaced the blower motor but said they would have to take the whole thing out and didn't have time for it, so it was ultimately a temporary fix for a full charge. After asking for a price break down he gave us $150 off. Woopie after a $7,500 ordeal that didn't feel sufficient. They then charged our card for the second half of our bill after we explicitly said "we do not authorize this charge" and we also don't remember saying they could save the card on file..... if that wasn't all enough to make us never come back we then find out the tire was never fixed after it went flat on the road a few days later. To which the guy says "looks like I forgot" !!! Now the AC stopped working because again it was never actually fixed in the first place. Truly unacceptable from start to finish. They clearly do not care about doing a good job and just want your money. He asked us multiple times to pay the remaining balance before we even picked up the vehicle or had any work done. Avoid at all costs.
