My grandmother was put into a nearly 19% interest loan on a used Corolla, with total payments exceeding $41,000 over the term of the loan. The dealership repeatedly minimized the true cost of the loan by focusing only on the "amount financed" while avoiding the actual total repayment amount shown directly on the contract. After over a month, we were informed the bank STILL had not approved the financing, yet the dealership had already delivered the vehicle and allowed the temporary registration to expire. When we questioned the situation and asked about returning the vehicle, the finance department told us they would keep the entire $5,000 down payment. The entire experience felt extremely predatory, especially toward an elderly woman who trusted the dealership to guide her honestly. I have been coming here for years, but somehow things have changed. They don't offer any breakfast like bagels like used to. Coffee machine's coffee is terrible (undrinkable). Service managers no longer cares for their customers, they pushes extra services that customers does not really need. I wish this place go back to way it was. As many reviews suggests they are not honest and only interested in making money. I kind of see that. They also seem to be lower on inventory, used to have many cars sitting in backyard with different options, it was nice to compare prices of different models, options, colors. 5 stars for Gwen in service, who, despite a parts shop that closes at 5pm (really?), helped find a solution for my motor oil concern despite not being in the system. The back area where you go to the service center isn't accessible from the front lot; they need to do a two-way entry where the one-way exit is. Service bays are in the back along with a customer waiting area. Huge shop, though. I did come here when I was car shopping, while they weren't the best price back in 2012, they did have a lot of inventory, almost everything you could want, and they also were giving away little gifts with the test drives. Now, there's so little inventory on-site, that the lot looks very empty. Pretty sure employees park there to make it look like there are cars in the front lot. By far has to be one of the worst experiences ever. Extremely high pressure sale tactics, along with deceitful salesmen and managers. I was curious about potentially leasing a Tacoma and made it abundantly I had a budget and only wanted to see the sr5. The salesman proceeded to take me to a $57k pro sport and try to force me to run numbers on it. Then one of managers came and lied to me about a "soft credit pull" then I was told they could get me within my budget just to get hit with a monthly payment that almost doubled where I wanted to be. The process with purchasing this vehicle was a breeze. The salesmen Christian, Jerome all awesome. So the reason for my 3 stars is because when I picked up my vehicle they didn't even wash it. Visible huge chunks of dirt were on the steering column as well as the corner of the passenger dash board. Die to the nature of my job I didn't drive my car the following day of purchase however the following day I was experiencing issues with the starter. They advised me to bring the car back and leave it for 2 days when I literally just purchased this vehicle within the same week. I will NEVER purchase from them again. Honestly thinking of returning the vehicle due to it being less that 2 weeks of purchase. I didn't buy a vehicle to leave it at a dealer for 2 days to get a possible diagnosis. read more

Wanted to charge me $4,850. Brought it to another Dodge dealership and told me this was definitely under warranty and repaired it for me. 5 stars for the exceptional care and attention I receive from Salvatore Giordano my Toyota Service Advisor. Since my first experience with Sal and every time after within the last few years, he has proven to be someone I completely depend on for keeping my Scion in great condition. Upon arriving Sal is always quick to greet me with courtesy and friendliness. He always remembers my name and makes me feel valued as a customer. He remembers my broken hood thing-a-majiggy and is always prepared with a twist tie when he sees me driving in. He will sit patiently as i try my hardest to try and explain what I hear under the hood with my non technical terms and has often opened my hood himself to search for what I am trying to mimic. He will recommend work, explain it, advise, and give me all details of cost, time and effort. Sal is there from the minute of service reception, consistent updates via text/phone/email, future appointments to service delivery with a smile and handshake. I can see how busy he is but never fails to go that extra step to value my patronage. I feel so comfortable with Sal that my next automobile will be a Toyota. I have to be critical here. Had I been warned I would've planned my afternoon around the service I had to have here. I received recall notice for faulty airbag in my Toyota so I had to make an appt. to bring it in for a free service to replace it. No problem. I make the appt. and expect an hour or two max. Firstly It's confusing to get to having never gone here before. From 22 they really should have a sign telling you to turn off from service and another saying keep going to go to the showroom. Even after turning off, I didn't know I was supposed to turn into the garage instead I get the security guard screaming at me that I'm going the wrong way. When I finally get in I learn that it will take "several hours" for the repair. I was not aware of this and wish the person making the appt. with me told me this, otherwise I'd plan out my afternoon better. One nice thing is the complimentary Lyft they get you to and from your home while you wait which is nice but even that was a problem. Just like me the Lyft driver couldn't locate the service area because as I mentioned its a bit confusing so it took a while for her to find me and pick me up. My biggest problem is when I get the call that my car is ready and that a Lyft would be there in a few minutes I wait, wait and wait over an hour. I call to find out what happened can't get anyone, finally after an hour I get call saying that there was a "problem" and that one would be there soon, sure enough it did come this time. I'd learn that the person responsible did not put the ride request through. I don't blame Lyft for this, but the people or person who was to request them. If you made it through my longer than usual review, I'd say the two improvements Autoland Toyota needs better communication with the departments and better signs coming of Route 22. read more

I am buying a car and wanted this specific one and this short guy tryna yell to his coworker trying to ask hey if you were to buy a car which one you will choose, then the other guy be like i want the other one (probably the shorter guy pointing that car that I dont like and giving his coworker a signal pretending that the other one is better while hes on my back) that car probably been there forever and not selling and they tryna get rid of it. Waiting for 2 hours and they charged me $600 and they telling me its $300/hr for electrical checkup for my rav4 hybird, but the technician didnt do anything at all and they are telling me the technician needs 3 more hours which will cost me $900 more just for check up. I paid them the 2 hours and did not continue with more check up. went to other Toyota dealership and got my part replaced without electrical checkup charges. If I could give zero stars, I would. I took my car for service and spent an excessive amount of money for numerous required maintenance work, one being a tire rotation. A couple days later, my tire light turned on. I went to another shop to check it out just to find out that my tire was ripping on the inner side of the wheel. I asked the mechanic who checked my tire if this was something you would spot during a tire rotation and he said "definitely." When I called Toyota to report this, they said they would call me back and never did. I went online to communicate through there texting service and they NEVER got back to me. NOPE never again. I just moved to the area, barely drive the car due to covid. February did an alignment and tire rotation. I started driving the car and noticed that they didn't do it at all. I test cars for a living and tested my wife's car and noticed that they didn't do the oil change either. I complained about it back in Feb but never came back due to covid. I gave them a chance again, yesterday brought the car to them for an oil change and rotation. Guy gives my wife an attitude and said that we should pay for another rotation. They never put any notes on their work orders. I get a notification this morning that our appointment was missed yesterday. WTH. Never again, they probably didn't do the oil change and charged us again. I just gotta check my oil, but this place is terrible. read more

TLDR: Worried about sales, not customer relationships. Extremely disappointed in the sales folks here. Spent two days working through a deal - and on day 2 was very clear that I needed to get back to work as I was on my lunch break. About ten minutes after I left and we finalized all the numbers, I tried to call the salesman THREE times to make sure I got the car - specifically asking the receptionist not to put me to voicemail (which I kept getting for the salesman). Went back as soon as work was done and they managed to sell the car that I was looking at. No courtesy call - nothing. It may have been a whole two hours that I was gone. This was probably one of the nicer salesman I dealt with too as I've been going to a variety of dealerships trying to find my next car, but clearly they are just worried about selling cars and not actually worried about building customer relationships. read more

My car has only been serviced at this location, so I can't speak for the experience at the dealership or purchasing a car here. However, I purposely purchased my Corolla at a different location since I was told by some of my neighbors that they don't recommend buying a car from here. If the customer service at the dealership is any similar to the service department, then I can see why they would say that. I've brought my car here two or three times so far for maintenance where they change the oil, rotate the tires, inspect the vehicle, and top off the car with fluids. I'm not car-savvy but I knew the service itself doesn't take long and if I were to wait, it would be for extraneous things. I double-checked how long it would take with the person who scheduled my appointment. I don't remember her giving me a timeframe but she said not long, confirming what I already thought. I made the appointment for 2:00 pm. I left at 4:30 pm. Even though I had an appointment, I scheduled the appointment earlier that same day and noticed several people in the waiting room upon arriving. Because of this, I assumed I would mostly be waiting because they were busy but I certainly didn't expect to wait 2+ hours. I would have been more sympathetic if I was given an explanation for the long wait time, but it turns out that my car was ready for over an hour and no one notified me. The only reason why I even knew that my car was ready because I had to speak up. It's easy to say in hindsight that I could have said something earlier, but I only decided to say something when I noticed people who came in after me were being called and leaving. I finally left the waiting room and saw my car parked outside ready to go. When I asked a service rep about this, I was told I should have received a text that my car was ready. Not only did I not receive a text, but I felt like after seeing several people told in person that their cars were ready, I should have received that same courtesy. Then, the service rep who broke down the receipt and explained what was done to the car that day seemed to pay no regard to my terrible experience here so far. I'm assuming this for two reasons: 1. I directly asked him how long my car has been ready. He nonchalantly responded it's been ready for over an hour. Then, I explained to him that I've been waiting for a very long time and wanted to know why I wasn't notified earlier that my car was ready. He said he didn't know with a smile on his face and didn't even apologize for this mishaps. 2. After breaking down the receipt and having the conversation above, he then asked me if I was pleased with my services today in a way that made it seem like he wanted me to complete a survey about my experience. I literally just told him how I was unhappy with the unjustified wait time and essentially being forgotten about. This raises two questions for me. One, why would you ask me if I was pleased with my services when I basically just told you I wasn't? Two, if your intention was to get someone to complete a survey, of all people, why would you ask me, aka someone who had a terrible experience here, to complete your survey? It's unfortunate that this is the closest service location to me because I either have to continue to bring my car here out of convenience and deal with this customer service or go out of my way to a different location where, hopefully, the service would be better. Ideally, I hope to be able to return here and have a much better experience than this most recent one. I also hope that no one else has a similar experience here but judging by the already low rating on Yelp, that doesn't seem to be the case. read more

Salvatore helped me immediately, was very clear and professional about what my options were, what certain diagnostic tests would cost and then what would happen next. It turned out several parts had been recalled on my car so they're putting me in a rental while parts are ordered. I honestly would have expected it to be a much less pleasant experience! Eveery time, they find something strange that needs to be fixed that just happens to be around $1000. I vowed never to come back when I took my car to a different Toyota service center and they flat out told me that those repairs that Autoland swore were vital were in fact unnecessary. The layout of this facility is ridiculous. You can't get to the service department if you drive to the main location with the sales department. You need to go and drive around the building making it super inconvenient. I had some work done on my car and immediately when I got in to drive it back home knew their techs were in the backseat as their was some sort of dirt/break dust all over the seat. It did come out after a few spot treatments but I love a clean car so I was pretty passed. Additionally they didn't fix the seat belts for the back seats that they had to undo to complete the repairs. I will say the reason this is a 2 star review and not 1 is because their service advisors are super helpful. I thought about complaining about the dirty seats to corporate but didn't want to get the actual mechanic/technician in trouble during the covid pandemic. It's too bad they have Billy and Rafic as Finance Managers. It's no favor to a customer to get an approval but then take full advantage of them with the approval. Rafic quoted me $577 on a base 2019 Camry Lease. Ive had a Lexus IS I had two Lexus GS and a RCF 8 cylinder. The audacity to quote me a 577 payment on a 25000 Toyota Camry lease. Why would anyone do that? Billy needs to be fired the way he handles customers is unacceptable. I've been a finance manager and a director. If I ever saw someone under me handling customers the way he handled me they would be terminated. There's is no excuse to treat a buying customer bad. It's sales and customers are entitled to make decisions in their own best interest. Billy the finance manager attempted to have me sign a contract without reviewing it. In my heart I knew he was going to be the reason I didn't buy a car at Autoland. Once he showed me the contract, after asking me what I wanted to see it for and telling me he usually shows it on screen after people signed electronically, I informed him that that's illegal. The price was higher than originally stated on the car. Then He lowered the price but the payments remained the same without an explanation. So either he raised the money factor or big profit in the am screen on in one of the back screens. Then he made it seem like it was my fault. If you promise me a triple net deal then I expect that. Dealership lose tons of money a new cars every day we all know that. If you can't do a deal just say I rather not do this deal today it's so simple. I ended up back at Lexus and leased a brand Lexus Truck in the 400s with $500 down . Prestige Lexus of Ramsey is the way to go when these guys quote ridiculous prices on Toyotas. The sales guy Marcus Blackwell and Mike Mafucci the manager were really really great but it's a disservice to them to pair them with finance managers who are crooks with nasty attitudes. If your going to be a crook at least be a nice one with a good attitude. But I felt bad because Their hard work goes in vain if the customers have to deal with the likes of billy. Let Mike run the place and get rid of the crooks I'm sure autoland could do 1000 plus cars per month. When I finally got to see someone, they said it'd be at least 2 and a half hours to do just an oil change! I would like to start by saying I do not own a Toyota but was looking to buy a battery for my car. I work directly across the side street from that location and started yesterday so I don't know the area. It's about 40 minutes from where I live. When my car was dead and my phone was dying I started walking towards RT 22 to see what was around. I saw your parts and service department so tried my luck. I walked in to to very not busy men and asked is they carried my battery. They informed me they only had Toyota batteries. So I further explained that my phone was dead and asked if I could use the phone there. They said no. They said there was an auto parts store up the highway and reluctantly calley to see if they had the battery in stock. They didn't. After that they recommended me to another to auto parts place and I quote said in walking distance and further told me the best place to cross the 6 lanes of highway. Oh while laughing that there shouldn't be much traffic with COVID 19. I eventually did get that battery and while walking I had an oil change location if they sold batteries and they didn't have my battery in stock either. They called Pep Boys and made sure they then drove me to get it the to my car jumped it and back to they're location and installed it. Kindness is free and especially in these times. These men were doing nothing and I was just asking to use the phone when clearly they were annoyed that I was bothering them. In this where even my son just got laid off and my sister's business is forced to close for who knows how long it's really the little that matter. I do hope as the owner/CEO you sell plenty to come out in the black once this is all over. read more
