They are not very professional. They made an appointment to come out and never came. They never told me how much it would cost and just sent an invoice with no detail. They told me I would need an expensive new automatic gate because they could not find a part for mine. I did 1 Google Search and found the part at the top of Google. I had to buy that myself. We used Automatic Gate Company almost 9 years ago to put in a driveway gate for us. In the past, we've been able to troubleshoot any issues we've had with our gate (but there have been few). This week our gate stopped working. The battery is still functional and the gate will open and close if I use the manual switch inside the control box. I called the company to find out the brand that was installed 9 years ago so we could find a compatible receiver and/or other parts to replace to try and find the problem ourselves. The gentleman I spoke with tried to find our information but told me the company had been bought out and old the old customer data was lost. I told him we were trying to troubleshoot for ourselves and needed to know what kind of parts to buy that would be compatible with our gate. We are trying to avoid the $150 service call (with parts and labor being additional). The gentleman I spoke with told me I could send him all the pictures possible of my gate parts and he would try to help me figure out what I needed. I did as he asked and now he is telling me he can't actually help me without paying for a service call. What a sham! I'm so disappointed with the service I did not get even after being told he would help me. I don't recommend this new management to you unless you're ok with the high trip charge and all the charges that would most certainly follow. If a company doesn't follow through on their words, they are not worth my time and money. read more

I've used this company for over 7 years. Jack installed a gate opener for my driveway gate back in 2011, and I've always gone back to him for upgrades/repairs for the gate due to wear and tear. He and Sam have always been very helpful and try to walk me through simple troubleshooting steps over the phone to save me money. They have never tried to upsell me, and have made sincere efforts to minimize costs. I'll keep using Automatic Gate Company for the foreseeable future. read more

I had Jack come out to quote and install a wrought iron automatic gate opener for our home we just bought and he did a fantastic job. We wanted the gate to open the opposite direction to allow more room to park our vehicles and he customized the job and even re-built a small section of our wood fence to align with the new gate. When I was searching for an iron gate for our property, I came across Jack's company. While he doesn't install gates anymore, he installs a first rate long arm opener. He was very patient with my numerous questions and offered good advice as I eventually found a fabricator for the gate. He came out and installed the operator and everything was done in a first rate manner. His installation work is custom and he is the company so you are dealing directly with the owner. Jack the owner was very helpful and honest man. Jack will find the best way to save you money yet do the best quality job than any other company can do. I originally had two gate doors that swing open. He said the best route was to weld them together and install one system. Other companies wanted to do two motors which would cost an extra 1,000 or more and would have a shorter arm so it would hold your gate shut. Jacks gate is shut tight when they close. Jack and his crew showed up when they said they would. They proceeded to do an outstanding job repairing a driveway gate installation that was starting to lean. They pulled the posts back to vertical, braced the main gate post, replaced the controller and moved the box to a better position- all in about 2 hours and for a reasonable price. My only regret is that Jack didn't do the original installation; he knows what he's doing and would have done a much better job than the guy that first put it in. read more
