Please do not use this towing service. My car was involved in a 7 car accident and this towing service was called to tow all cars to their location in Orland. Three days later when I went to retrieve my vehicle using an independent towing company, they wouldn't release my car unless the independent towing company I used show workmen's comp insurance. If they didn't have this insurance I was charge an extra $150. My friend knew that wasn't in alignment with their rates and I was being upcharged. I had to pay close to $1000 for three days of storage, tow, cleanup fee, and workman comp. I reported this company to the illinois General Attorneys office and I'm hoping eventually they are penalized or something worse for not following their policy. This company is bad news and they take full advantage of people! I also noticed they have bad reviews that entail rudeness in communication, racism remarks, and creating false charges. This company abuses their power and citizens are being greatly taken advantage of. If you do deal with them, and you have a unfair situation, contact the Illinois General Attorneys and file a complaint. I don't typically utilize time to write reviews, however, if I could rate this 0/5, I would. Beware of 'Jeff' at the Southwest Hwy location, as he found humor in my brothers ASD related issues. Called for a check-up on my 2011 Hyundai Sonata, received a (rather shockingly) hostile attitude. Not sure how they think the business will survive with that behavior, but mainly- was quoted $1500 for a job that was quoted at $320 everywhere else... Oh boys where to start with this story? They have a hot headed manic there named Conner, when I told them I couldn't afford a service. He decided to yell at me and tell me I was to cheap and it's pathetic I can't afford to fix my car. So to say the least their customer service is horrible. There are so many other mechanics that will treat you better. DO NOT GO HERE !!!! Also growing up with mechanics I can tell you they over price more then most. I also caught them up in two lies. Oh the joy the last few months of fighting with them has been. The owner told me his mechanic should have never suggested to fix my car I should have just junked it. The shop is good for oil changes basic tune-ups and exhaust systems and maybe brakes. Took my car in for a engine light spent almost $1,000 got it back ran like crap had to take it to GM. What a joke!!! Do not let anyone in this shop tear into your motor!!! Worst towing company ever, SCAMMERS!!! Towed my truck and damaged the bumper. The tow truck driver knew he damaged my truck and he even admitted it!!! He called the owner to which he came by and said to myself that it's either his way or no way. Either he takes it and paints it or for me to "F--- OFF" VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE WITH CUSTOMERS! Also, I had to call the police to make a report so this will go towards the insurance. I offered to pay the bill and he said cash only. I didn't have any other form of payment other than my card, and if I don't pay cash he would take my truck with him. THEY SCAM and don't give you any other options other than their own. I was involved in an accident in Orland Park where there was massive damage to the front of my car. When the accident happened, it was awesome because there happened to be a tow truck at the intersection. I agreed with him to have the car towed to the location of a garage I use. After I was gone, I got a frantic call from him saying that Auto Medics had swooped in and towed the vehicle. I was extremely frustrated, knowing that here came exorbitant towing and storage fees, but I had not accounted for everything. Since it was a company vehicle, it was on the company insurance and I had no control beside the initial report. I called to get my personal property (clothes, iPad, papers, etc.) out before it was towed wherever the company insurance decided. The woman I spoke with informed me that I would not be getting anything back until it was paid for. Needless to say, that boiled my blood! I went and looked up Illinois law which states that personal property can not be held by a towing company if a vehicle is involved in an accident and covered by insurance (it was covered by a commercial full-coverage policy). I called back and informed them, and I was told..."I don't care what the law is, this is company policy." WHAAAT?!! Then she hung up on me. Just got off the phone with one of their employees that ended with him calling me F*** face, the previous phone calls involved being threatened to hold my vehicle, and a rude receptionist who lied about when they were going to work on my vehicle. 4 hours they had me waiting for them to "look" at my tire, despite saying it would just take an hour, and refused to give me an update every time I called until I called back frustrated. Auto Medics in Orland Park has been my preferred service shop for the past five years. I have two SUVs - a 2015 Honda CRV and a 2007 Toyota RAV4 - and, aside from some routine oil changes, one insurance claim auto accident (body work) and one water pump failure while out of state, they have performed all required work on both cars as well as work on the 2003 Buick Rainier I owned prior to the CRV. These folks are a mechanical auto service shop - so, if you're looking for good conversation, a plush waiting room and state of the art offices, they aren't for you. But, they know cars. I have personally found the customer service to be very good. I've borrowed loaner cars, which they only charge you for ($50 a day) if you decide not to have the quoted service work done at their shop. A great service that very few auto service companies offer today. In 2016, I had a water pump go out 7 hours from their shop - I called them and asked what a reasonable repair cost was and they quoted (over the phone without seeing the car) within $50 of the final charge that the local service shop ended up doing the work for. It was comforting to know that in an unknown situation like that (out of town) that I had a ball-park price to make sure I wasn't getting hosed for an urgent need by an unknown repair shop. In 2012, I used a nationally known oil change shop and they failed to tighten the oil filter on the RAV4. The oil drained out and the engine experienced significant damage. Auto Medics went to bat with the insurance provider (ours and the oil change shop) to fully document the incident. The insurance providers worked out the details. Auto Medics repaired the RAV4 in the process and I'm still driving it today with no follow-up issues from the engine rebuild they handled. A lot of reviews on the office and it's employees - but, what really matters is the work and the mechanics at Auto Medics do great work. Personally, I hope you all keep staying away so that I can keep enjoying the work they do without having to compete with new customers. read more

Horrible customer service!! When we first went in the lady at front desk named Lynn totally ignored us, she was too busy playing a game on her phone, and yes I could see her screen so I knew she was playing a game. Had to wait till she was done. Took my truck there and spent over $1200 and thought it was all fixed. Had two different issues with truck that they half fixed. All was great at first then I went back the next day because my ac wasn't working right and I had spent almost $700 to have them fix it. Mechanic Connor told me (very rudely)it wasn't anything they did and to make the fan work was going to cost me more $$. Even though the fan worked just fine before they replaced compressor. He Didn't even want to look at it. He actually told us that he didn't do anything wrong and we must have broken it after we picked it up. Another mechanic came over and was nice but overall HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I would recommend you find a different facility to work on your car. They don't stand behind there work at all!!! read more

My young niece was cut-off this morning, and hit her brakes. Her car spun on the fresh snow and slid off the road. The county police showed up and called to have the car towed by Auto Medics. The distance from the spin out spot to Auto Medics was less than 3 miles. When my sister called to find out about the price, they quoted $240.00!!! I went with her to pick it up, and only then did they say cash only! Not even a debit card was acceptable. When I told the women the debit card would have the money in their account before we left their property, she still insisted. Why not tell your customers your terms when you speak to them? THIS IS THE THIRD TIME I AM POSTING a REVIEW! They took it out which tells you a lot about the business! I originally wrote one a few years ago and another on 12/11! I went there a few years ago. If I could give it zero starts, I would.They took over a month to finish my car and I discovered that this place had put me in harm's danger. They used TWIST TIES (I have pics) to "secure" important parts. They said they used newer parts, but I learned they used old parts (FYI: one of them, transmission, I had to replace again in 7/10-so much for quality work). I do not trust this place. What is odd about this place is how unfriendly people are. Heard the secretary twice yell at customers on the phone while I was in the waiting room.
