I finally talked my Mom out of going here after the third time that we paid for their incompetence... two radiators that somehow either failed while the car was in their hands or just as the car drove off the lot (neither car had any radiator issues beforehand and one failed catastrophically) and a bolt head rounded off due to using an open-ended wrench... all added significantly to the very simple repairs that we actually brought cars in for... I don't think this was malicious, I think it was just the near universal incompetence of mechanics that I've run into in Reno, but the extra $2000 we paid these guys for it was far more than enough. I wouldn't trust them to work on a bicycle where I could easily inspect the work myself. Your communication was terrible! I had to call everyday close to the end of the day only to find out only then that my car wouldn't be ready. The battery was bullshit and an attempt to upsell for profit. The claim was made that my battery was old and if I declined a new battery you would have to jump start it when i picked it up. A referral from Washoe Sheriffs department for getting my catalytic converters stenciled with thr vin number and bright high temp paint on the entire catalytic converters. The best part of the visit was all the shop pups they had, they went through my treat supply I keep for the pups I meet. They were very gracious to offer to drop me off while the work was being done. This was the second time bringing my car in to them because of the exceptional service Nick provided us the first time. Unfortunately this time around it was less than exceptional. Scott spent more time talking about video games than going over the services done to my car. They had been done with my car for a whole week before I called to check on it. Scott claimed to have called and left voicemails. He lied to my face several times about different issues I brought up when I went to pick up my car. They replaced my turn signal switch & when I pointed out my ignition lock was not aligned properly, he got extremely defensive, spoke over me, and told me it was not their fault. They did offer to make things right and I took my car in AGAIN for them to fix things they overlooked, but they still missed the mark. My ignition lock still isn't in it's original condition. We have been taking our 2 cars to Automotion since we relocated in 2021. Automation has always been kind and courteous, does a great job, if something went wrong, they have pictures of the bad part, will save the bad part for us. All repairs have been done properly with no issues later. My extended family owns an auto repair, but not in Nevada, so we always watch carefully when anyone else is making repairs. Automotion found issues with one of our cars where a previous local repair shop hadn't fixed it properly. We had a feeling that the previous work hadn't been so e right, or they missed something. We wanted another opinion, so we found Automotion. It made sense that this was the issue that was causing our current problem. Automotion showed us pictures when they located the issue. (before any work was done). We so appreciated this. Our cars now run the way they should! We take care of our vehicles and keep them in good repair. I had used this shop for many years with Mark; to whom I trusted for many years, so several years ago when Mark would inflate the repair bill stating that he "we" had to make adjustments for parts supplied to them for a certain repair because Automotion was unable to obtain a certain part in the first place!; that was largely to increase his profit margins a take advantage of his customers. For an example; front replacement shocks, using Napa parts store would cost the customer around $79.89 per shock, he would charge the customer $150.00 per shock, plus increase labor charge! " I guess you can figure the accounting method here" My story doesn't end here, I had Mark the owner at this location work on my RV repairing parts that were supplied by RoadMastear, out of the stated Washington, producing parts for RV, such as Winnebago class A thru class C motors homes. We purchase these upgraded part to help increase the safety and comfort of our RV and asked that Mark would install them which he did (Automotion, LLC) but because the Covid-19's situation we were unable to travel until this past week on our trip to Red Lodge, Montana. When we discovered after traveling nearly 1000 mile from Reno, Nevada to Montana, the front end on the driver side of the Motor Home had an issue; the driving and handling of the steering was so bad that we stopped over to a RV repair shop and learned that this road master sway bar that Mark had installed was not properly installed, the driver side sway link had not been properly torqued and the upper bolt of not even securely fasten down that created the issue and we had to stay several days for them to get the part and install a new one. We had to spend nearly $485.75 plus two extra days at the camp grounds for total cost of $537.64 becase one his mechanics did not do his job and completely the process. Please for your own safety; anyone using this repair location find another repair shop in Reno before using these bond heads and get someone get injured or even killed for sloppy workmanship. After they repaired my 1984 Miniwinnie RV with the fuel problem, for $295.00 on 6/4/20, I made it exactly 305.5 Miles before it died in a remote area with no cell phone service just outside of Jorden Valley, Idaho. It took me 5 hours to get in touch with a tow company to have it towed another 110 miles to a repair shop. I tried to tell Nick that just replacing the fuel filter would not correct the problem. I purchased an 87 VW Syncro, and dropped it off for a full inspection. It was quickly apparent that good deals are often too good to be true. This thing is a total Frankenstein, to say the least. Went here today after scheduling an appointment through their website. They contacted me within just a few hours the same day to suggest an earlier time so I'd get my car back the same day! They got off to a wonderful start. Came in bright and early this morning to drop off my car. It was an easy process, the man checking me in, I believe his name was Nick, was super kind and listened to my concerns and assured me that they would be addressed. Dropped off my keys, and then left because I had class at UNR that day :) I called in to ask for a check in on my car, and learned they were understaffed! But don't let that think this place is awful. I had no rush for my car, so I certainly didn't care or mind. It happens! I got a helpful run down of everything that was issues, and wasn't told to get ALL of it done at once, but to do some things now as its more important. I LOVED that! I'm just a small little college aged girl, and I'm just trying to keep my car going and my bank account from the negatives. So I appreciate that heavily! I got my car back and it drove me home with no problem. I decided to trust the Google reviews and I was glad I did. I received excellent customer service through the whole process and they did a great job on my car and were fairly priced. I asked them why they were rated so low on Yelp and they were not sure except to say that they were approached by Yelp years ago to advertise through them and they declined.
