Before taking my car to this Solutions Auto I took the car to Pep Boys for a coolant leak. Pep boys told me the car needed $2600 worth of work to repair the leak. I wanted a second opinion so I left. Run, Run, Run! Grab a snack and a seat, this read might take a while. I don't write reviews as a rule but feel compelled to share my experience to save others grief. Took my car to Automotive Solutions for minor body work and right headlight replacement. After keeping the car for a week was told additional parts were needed for headlight but okay to pick up car while waiting for part to come in. Picked up car and couldn't believe my eyes. The car was full of lunch trash and grease on fabric upholstery from, let's see...staff. AND, hold on to your seat, rat droppings! They were returning the car to me in that condition. The rats chewed up the contents in the glove compartment, the area under the front seats and around the seatbelts in the rear. There was foam stuffing everywhere. They tried to vacuum the car out with a broken vacuum cleaner. Plus, the trim around the wheel wells was literally hanging down. The worker said... "I did the 'best' I could". Go figure! Did I get an apology...I'm still waiting. A few days later I returned and was told the part needed for the light had to be ordered from Amazon. As it was over Thanksgiving and his office person was not working, I ordered the part myself. When it arrived I took it back to Matt. A few hours later was told part was not the right one. So, he did more research and had someone call me a few days later to tell me the part would cost approx. $430.00. I was also told he doesn't order from Amazon; contradictory from having me order from Amazon, the part he looked up for me...was he telling me the whole truth and nothing but the truth? I made several phone calls but Matt was either unavailable or out. Granted, the original, damaged headlight had been thrown away before the car was taken to the shop so one would expect the "repairer" to know what was needed and would tell the customer "before'" work commenced so a decision to move forward could be discussed. After considerable back and forth phone calls and visits, I was told we were done because I refused to buy the additional parts. The right headlight is still not working. I will be pursuing a partial refund because I have since learned the headlight he purchased is THE WRONG ONE! Stay tuned for part 2. Matt is personal but not to be trusted...in my opinion. read more

We dropped off our truck for check engine light service. We weren't contacted about the repairs nor the vehicle for over a week. Mh fiancé had to essentially hunt down the owner as every time we called, the front desk said they haven't seen the owner "in weeks". Finally after waiting 10 days we received a call from the owner that he took our truck to another shop so they could run the electrical problem. This was then quoted to be an 800$ procedure which we totally declined. Now this is where it gets weird. The owner states he will pick up our truck from the shop and service our car on warrantee. Ok great! We get a call to pick up the truck assuming it has been serviced....but when we get to the shop our truck is GONE. Stolen! The owner then says he parked it himself away from his property and has owes us no liability for the theft. He also and I quote, stated, "this happens all the time" and to "go ahead and take me to civil claims because you won't win". Would not give a name to his insurance. He did however offer to buy our truck off of us from the tow yard the police sent it to when it was found by using his "car dealership plates". Wait, so you want us to trust you by selling the car to you when we couldn't even trust you to keep it on the lot? We kindly declined the offer and insisted he just reimburse the money that was spent when he did NOT fix the car. He laughed in our faces, told us he would give us 250 for the impound charge and that was it. Again we said we would accept the 250 with the understanding that we are going to take the legal route and get lawyers involved. After that conversation the owner, Matt, then said to "go fuck ourselves" and hung up the phone I'd like to add that while waiting for the police to come to the shop the owner tried to kick me out of his shop. He admitted that this happens often and was aware that our truck was at risk for being stolen with where he parked it at. I had made a post on social media where I received many responses that this particular shop was known for theft and unfulfilled services. Also, he referred me to a sign posted on his wall which holds no merit. My personal items were not stolen. My vehicle he was responsible for, for over two weeks was stolen. I have reported this guy to BBB and I sure hope this review reaches all the right people. As a young mom to twin boys who are 4 with another baby boy on the way, it is my hope another young couple will not be taken advantage of like this. read more

After deep consideration. I have chosen to go public about this serious issue with a repair shop named "Automotive Solutions" located at 26871 Hobie Circle, Unit A7, Murrieta, CA 92562. They told me "I am an idiot if I work hard for my money" in response to my statement that $1500 is not "a drop in the bucket" and I am not ok with the fact they were unable to fix my vehicle as promised, because I do in fact work hard for my money. The cars original power steering went out. I asked them to do whatever necessary to fix it right. They gave me two options and I took their recommendation. They admitted to me over the phone that they left my original power steering pump on the vehicle which pumped metal shards into the new rack & pinion which is continuing to circulate, causing the new power steering pumps to fail over and over again, (but they dont care). After the third warranty "repair" It also came back home in a plume of smoke and the pulley they replaced on the power steering pump is wobbling badly They are claiming that I refused to "pay up" for OEM Lexus parts, and it's my fault the car is still experiencing power steering problems because I was being cheap. I was advised by them that they have great luck with a particular brand and that I should allow them to fix the vehicle using the parts they recommend. I would have gladly paid for OEM parts if that's what I was advised to do. The cars power steering pumps keep "going out" and it has been through several (5) under their warranty. If you are looking for a repair shop, stay far far away from this one. I appreciate those who have honest advice for me. I trusted them, and it's my understanding they have an obligation to provide a warranty and agreed to do so. They have not. Each time the vehicle goes back to the shop which has been 3 times in the past 8 weeks, it comes home with new problems. Again, they refuse to refund me, they dont know how to fix the vehicle, and claim that I'm trying to scam them. . ****Update, My lawyer told me to drop it because court costs will be too high. He was able to get ahold of an ex employee and we discovered that they are involved in deep levels of scamming. According to the ex employee, they do not fix many of the cars that go into the shop. He picked his car up and no repairs were done, he had to bring it back and they finally completed the repairs. The reason some of you have had a decent experience is because they seem honest and kind, but they are level 10 manipulators/criminals. He takes it back there and leaves it. He was getting the run around and then it gets stolen from his shop and he doesn't even tell him. This caused me a great inconvenience with work. Then they said an O2 sensor went out while the car was in their possession . So they charge me an additional $90. Now the car is shaking like crazy. I needed to get my transmission swapped out with a rebuilt one for my vanagon, they were able to hold my vehicle at the shop while we ordered one, they stayed in contact with me throughout the whole repair. I paid them $500 to put in a rebuilt $4000 transmission, BUT hat they didnt do was bother to inform me that I needed to replace my rear main seal, and torn cv boot. So now I have leak on the rear main seal and I have to pay even more money to get it fixed AGAIN since it wasnt replaced in the first place, very dissapointed, and if that wasnt bad enough I have to replace the cv boot aswell. read more

Never again. Matt is overwhelmed and obviously has some shady people working for him. They couldn't install a transmission pan gasket without messing up the fit and it leaked badly. Not wanting to have my car sit outside next to a metal recycling center for another week while the parts were orderer, the gasket was wrecked due the improper fitment. I ordered a new gasket, fluid and special pump and did it my self. NO LEAKS! They also neglected to even clean the pan magnets that help to keep metal particles from doing damage. read more

Was having issues with the headlamps on my Cadillac and was referred to Automotive Solutions to have them check the issue out. Matt took a few minutes of his time to trouble shoot the headlamps and found a simple fix that he said I could do. No charge. as a businessman myself i asked him quesitons about his business and was impressed with what he said. While there I remembered that my car is past due for bot a transmissin flush and a radiator flush. He quoted me prices "out the door" which is the best way to quote - not a low number then when the bill is written up there are additions for fluids, disposal fees, taxes, etc.to brng the toal much higher. I think highrly of how Matt runs his business and plan to take my car in for the two flushes as the prices he quoted are fair. read more

Last year my car was leaking oil pretty bad. I use to work as an assistant manager at a repair shop down the road from this one, that went out of business. I called around and the owner (Matt) who I spoke with gave me the cheapest price. I had pre-diagnosed my car and brought it in. His mechanics let him know, it wasn't what I had diagnosed on my own but something else, and it would cost me less. After the repair was done, before they gave it back another mechanic noticed the leaking was less but still there. It turned out my original diagnoses was correct and he fixed it at no additional cost. Since then I have been a loyal customer to Automotive Solutions. The owner (Matt) seems to me like a generally honest and good guy. I can say this, at the prices he charges via my experience in this field, he isn't making a whole lot of profit.
