Brian found that my G35 needed a new passenger side window motor. He bought a replacement motor from a local distributor and charged me $269.95 for it. I took the old motor and looked for one on Amazon and found it for $36 on Amazon prime. The Amazon part comes with 12 Months or 12,000 miles part exchange only. I called Brian and he had nothing good to say about Amazon and their parts because he once had a bad experience. He was put out that I would question him. read more

Took my car in for an intermittent AC problem, they had it diagnosed and fixed in approximately two hours and now my AC is blowing super cold which I appreciate. They also took the time to explain the actions they had taken in detail which I appreciated, also the pricing was very fair. I'd recommend this place to anyone! read more

I cannot express how grateful I am to have found Brion. My car was having numerous issues and I had already taken it to two different shops. Each of the shops would say "Its fixed" and 1-5 days later it would be broken again. Brion took the time to investigate and test before he offered a solution. This is a great shop and the mechanics are top notch. I hate to let the public know how good a shop this is. I kind of want these guys to my own to take care of our vehicles but they are so good, so honest, so smart, it would be unfair not to share their talent with all. I have had several repairs done on several of our cars and they always come in on time and on budget. It does not matter to them, big or small they do it right the first time all the time. They are really good at investigating and diagnosing the issue. I don't know how they do it but the last repair we hired them for I thought the vehicle was done for. We have a 16 year old 4-Runner with 300,000 miles on it. In just a few days they diagnosed, replaced, and repaired everything wrong with the vehicle. I swear the Toyota feels like it did when it had 50,000 miles on it. The cost was half what the tax would have been on a new vehicle. You cannot go wrong with these guys. Brion and his team are the third automotive repair shop I have visited in Tucson. They are a small shop but the service and technical knowledge are hard to beat. This group of specialists take the time to investigate whats at the root of the problem and fix it, no proverbial band-aid here. Every time I bring my vehicle to them I am always pleased at how much better it runs. Although all of Brion's techs carry Industry Certifications the ones that I noticed first were the Dale Carnegie Training he had on the walls for his employees. I think the combination of hiring competent technicians and treating his clientele respectfully will keep me coming back as long as I own a vehicle in Tucson. Brion has been servicing our vehicles for years now and has saved me lots in unnecessary expenses! He's old school so his delivery may not always be one to coddle those offended easily. He is straight up and tells you like it is! More importantly, they do a top notch job! The people that complain about prices of parts don't understand that any legit shop is going to order manufacturer approved parts. They can install the cheap Chinese parts you order online and bring in, but not going to be responsible if they break. He may refuse depending on the part that if it fails, could put you in danger. Keep that in mind. You can find some place to charge you less, do a cheaper oil change, etc but you get what you pay for... the end! read more

The owner is an absolute genius. I threw him a real tough problem involving the auxiliary braking system for my Jeep which kept blowing out 12 volt plugins. So Brion set it up to be plugged in directly instead of using the cigarette lighter type plugin. It worked beautifully and the price was more than fair. The way the men that work there think they can talk to their customers is completely out of line. They talked down to us. They interrupted us. They made fun us to our faces. I have never felt so uncomfortable. They lied to us big time. Simply put, it's their time and not yours. They'll take as long as they please. After we got the estimate, we actually asked them to do more and raised the bill ourselves. This seemed to piss them off. With so many people out of work these days, this experience was really something. I'm sure most people don't care about customer service, but it made me nervous. I can't really say they actually did the work we paid them to do. read more

I would feel confident recommending this shop to anyone looking for a HONEST opinion and repair. We were in need of a good mechanic and now we found one! We will not go anywhere else but here for our repair needs. We have been to Midas and used a mobile mechanic that was recommended us and both took our money and the problem wasnt fixed. We went to Automotive Speicalists they explained everything to us that was done and it ended up being a fuse and our bill ended up being less then quoted by 100 dollars. Interesting, there used to be 2 recommended reviews on Yelp for this garage and then my negative review and now all of that has disappeared. So I am going to post my review again, b/c it is very important that others know what their experience may be. The other website he uses for recommendations is GarageFly. However, when I tried to write my negative review on GarageFly it said that the owner of the shop had to approve my review in order for it to post to the GarageFly shop. Since, my review has never been posted there I am guessing he denied it. Here's my review: I brought my truck into this shop after reading the reviews. While the kindness of the staff was appreciated, the quality is definitely subpar. I figured out something was wrong within the distributor area. See I'm pretty knowledgeable with regards to vehicles and maintenance issues. The only reason I was bringing my truck into a shop is because I couldn't reach the area I needed to so I could get the job done. Brian and his team stated that indeed the distributor was the problem and installed a new one. When reviewing my old distributor Brian tried to reassure me that it was quite worn. Upon inspecting it, there was slight wearing upon the unit, but certainly not enough to warrant replacement (this was also confirmed by 2 additional mechanics on 5/16/14. In addition, Brian stated that my intake manifold gasket had to be replaced immediately. I felt this was not an issue and upon further inspection by additional mechanics (5/16/14) there is minimal leakage. I contacted Brian on 5/9/14 informing him that my truck was out of time. He told me this was impossible unless I had moved the distributor. He told me that I would need to pay an additional $100-$200 for a fuel flow test as he felt the issue was a clogged fuel injector and that at minimum the injector job would start at around $800 for the parts only. At this point, I was done with this shop. See I had another mechanic take a look at my truck and he also determined that it was out of time. So I was giving Brian a chance to make this right and he did not instead he came up with a bogus claim of clogged fuel injectors. Another mechanic (so that makes 2 additional mechanics) took a look at my truck and determined that the distributor was not installed correctly and this caused a multitude of other issues due to carbon build up. I am so disappointed in this shop. I am extremely disappointed that I paid someone to do work on my vehicle and the job was not done correctly. I'd rate this shop a zero if I could. Since I can't, I will continue to get the word out about this shop. I'll never recommend it to anyone. read more
