I arrived, was waited on and sat for two hours waiting for my car. Josh came over at about 1530 and told me my car was all good. I said "really?...the battery was checked, hoses etc"? (I noted my car was sitting where I could see it almost the whole time I was waiting...) Yep all checked, and good to go -I was told. I asked Josh what I owed....nothing. Also no paperwork to show what had been done. I trust the car professionals to do the right thing. My battery died in Mexico, and when the lovely people at Autozone in Guayamas popped the cover off my battery, the enclosed pictures are what I saw. I was FURIOUS. On what planet is THAT BATTERY in acceptable condition. I get back from Mexico and go to Firestone to ask WTF. Josh was there and I showed him the photos, and watched him tap dance around their procedures. I said " My concern...Josh...is either some one did not check the battery at all, and I was lied to, or there is a service person who is quite inept at his or her job. This was not a mistake........this was a decision" Josh finally acknowledged the battery was not in good working order....and....offered me .....a free oil change my next visit. A free oil change. There will be no next visit. My relationship with Firestone has gone bad....just like the battery they said was good to go.
