I've been going to John for years. He knows his stuff and he's honest. I had an accident recently and some place in Woodland hills tried to get me to pay like 2500 to take care of the scratches. I showed John and he buffed it all out with some topical stuff for nothing but I insisted he take a couple bucks. I couldn't believe the other place tried to rip me off that way. I wish I remembered the name. I foolishly went there first because they were available sooner. Anyways, I know things get done right if I take it to John and for a fair price. The owner is a scammer he wanted $10 to use a drill and raise the lights to meet the projection board then he said he needed another $10 to make it work just for 3-5 min of his time and to do something simple and If I didn't want to I could leave because he "didn't like doing stuff like that anyways" good price for break and light inspection but might as well just raise your prices to $10-$20 more if your gonna be charging people more just like in some other reviews on here he was nice in person but could tell hes fake he is even mean to his workers and even they don't like him but his workers the middle age guy that helps him and the woman that manages the desk are great people read more

The guy was strange but his worker was super nice and even cleaned my lights for free while I was waiting!! I had an appointment at 11 and the guy didn't show up until noon. His assistant was the only thing that raised the rating to three stars. John is an absolute STAR!!!! We've had a troublesome old Volvo and couldn't drive it after a radiator leak and a fan that was shorting out and draining the battery. This place is so bad John the owner likes to talk so much tries to make excuses for him to always be right and for you to be wrong he says I can't have a minor light tint on the rear lights when you can he says the lights have to be more than visible than 500 feet which they were he always tries to correct people and say he is right and we are wrong very bad service I do not know how he is in business still maybe because he so cheap and I did not want the price to drop he's lying about me asking him to drop the price never did I ask for that read more

This past spring my car needed a re-built transmission. John Wilkes looked my car over first and then referred me to a local and long established transmission shop. I got my re-built transmission and was very happy with that service but very grateful for John's knowledge and expertise in the first place! I also needed a smog certificate this past spring and because I had a "warning" light on my dash John explained that we needed to fix the light problem first before my car could be successfully tested for smog. John kindly took care of that problem and with the problem fixed I was able to pass the smog test. And last but not least I went on a long road trip this past spring and I asked John and company to do a "trip check" on my car. I wanted to have tires checked and fluids checked and topped off. And any other smaller issues taken care of. John and his team kindly took care of this for me too. I have John do this every time I make a long driving trip. I am always pleased with the service.
