Is a single instance of dishonesty enough to prevent you from returning? How about twice? First, I took my car into Ford of Bellevue to get brake service. The idiot who helped me said that he "knocked off about $75 from the price" because he understood I needed the service in a hurry, and I didn't have time to take it elsewhere. Ford of Bellevue charged me $700 for front and rear brakes. A few weeks later, I looked at my tires and decided I needed to get new tires. Because of the good reviews for Les Schwab Tire Centers, I took my car into Les Schwab for an estimate. They looked at my tires, and told me that they could replace the rear tires, that my front tires would last another 20K miles or so, and that I should seriously consider replacing the brake pads on all 4 wheels. I told them that I had the brakes replaced a few weeks earlier at Ford of Bellevue- the young man sighed, looked at me, and said "I'm sorry to tell you this, but dozens of people have complained of poor service, dishonest practices, overcharging, and unsatisfactory repairs being done at Ford of Bellevue. You need new brake pads. They aren't expensive, I can replace all 4 for less than $100, or I can put in an entirely new braking system including pads for $350, which comes with a lifetime guarantee." This review is on the service. I've used the Ford of Bellevue service department for several years. They have always been helpful, accurate, and cost effective. Until recently. Within the last year or so they've become increasingly incompetent and on my last visit the blatently tried to rip me off, telling me brakes had failed completely when a second opinion told me nothing was wrong with them at all. The sales people are nice and friendly, BUT they know nothing about the used cars they sell. Having bought an '05 Subaru Outback wagon from them one day last week, I had a little over $2500 in repairs to pay for within a week. Head gasket, timing and drive belts, water pump, reseals, and tune-up to name just a few things. Negotiating the initial sale price of the Outback wasn't hard, but I had a trade-in that was in better mechanical shape than the Outback to begin with. Either way, the sales manager didn't give me much leeway on the price, considering I listed out the repairs I knew I was going to have to make after my mechanic looked over the car before I bought it. Mind you, they didn't offer to have their mechanics check out the car either to verify anything my own mentioned. Had a terrible experience with this dealership. I purchased a Toyota Camry from AutoNation Ford Bellevue in February 2014. Before I signed the papers for the vehicle, I examined the interior of the vehicle and there was a distinct musty smell inside the vehicle. I pointed out this concern to the car salesperson who brushed it off saying they had just finished detailing the interior of the vehicle the previous day thus I only need to air it out and the smell will be gone. Being a first time inexperienced car buyer, I accepted his explanation, signed the papers and drove off with the car. Weeks later, the interior odor got stronger even after several hours of airing out, using deodorizer and spending money going to the car wash. I got super confused on why my car still smelled bad. I got suspended from driving Uber because several passengers complained of the mold smell in my vehicle. I was advised by Uber to go fix the issue or change vehicle before I can resume driving for them. I got the worst shock of a car owner when I discovered that the cause of the musty smell was actually coming from the floor of my car. Whenever it rained, my vehicle's floors get soaked with water. I was furious when I discovered this. I have never felt so bad before. I can't even stand to look at my vehicle anymore. I checked the CarFax for the Toyota Camry and I discovered the previous owner disclosed the water leak information to the dealership. I took the vehicle to the Toyota dealership in Renton and they said they couldn't fix it. They instead referred me to the third party water specialist who charged me an outrageous amount before he can fix the issue. This is what I get for trusting AutoNation Ford of Bellevue's sales team. If the salesman had pointed this issue out to me, I could have gone for another car in their lot. Went here for a simple oil change after receiving a phone call saying I would get a significant discount off my next service, made an appointment for the oil change one week in advance, arrived on time for my appointment, only to be told that they would "need at least 2.5 hours to service the vehicle" and advised me to wait in the waiting room (which is a trailer). I thought the employee might have confused me with someone else or misspoke, so I reminded him that it was just a simple oil change I came in for. He said "yep, we will need 2.5 hours." I was clearly confused...as all my previous oil changes anywhere else have always taken about 25 minutes. Plus, why would no one tell me when I scheduled the appointment, that it would take an absurd amount of time (especially when it was an option to wait for my car--2.5 hours is a LONG time to wait for an oil change). The technician offered no explanation as to why it would take so long (by the way, it seemed calm and not busy at all on this particular day), so I asked another employee why it would be 2.5 hours for a simple oil change. He replied that it was because they would have to drive my car down the street (literally--right down the street, a block away) to get it serviced. What?! The fact that no one thought it was insane to tell me my oil change would take 2.5 hours was simply appalling. I canceled the appointment and drove to a nearby place where the oil change took 20 minutes and was $15 less (for the same oil). Oh, and about that coupon I was promised? The technician told me "um, yeah, I can't really apply that without seeing a coupon." The fact that I had spoken to two people who guaranteed it would be applied, in addition to the fact that I still had the voicemail on my phone promising me this discount, just wasn't enough, apparently. One of the worse dealers there is. I'm a Microsoftie and went there with a friend to order the all new redesigned 2015 Mustang GT's (one each). They immediately asked for a 10K deposit and over 10K markup (Ridiculous). On mentioning we qualified for the X-Plan they changed their tune and sat down to talk through the details of what was pre-negotiated pricing. They didn't know much about the car (I knew a lot more) but this can be overlooked given the model is new and the order banks had barely opened a few days ago. I would expect though dealers know their cars well. The Achilles heel was the deposit. We agreed on a refundable security deposit - this was a condition of the ordering process. We shook hands, walked out and a few days letter they send me a paper to sign saying their GM changed his mind and the security deposit would be non-refundable. The reason is they were worried they couldn't sell a 2015 brand new redesigned Mustang if I changed my mind as it was yellow (what kind of dealer cant sell a Mustang with a wait list - but that's besides the point, my issue is that they reneged on an agreement). I refused to sign it and called them up asking to reconsider, they didn't, I went to another Ford dealer - got the same car with a refundable deposit (and that dealer knew what they were doing and got me in and out of the door in 1 hours). I then called Bellevue Ford and told them to cancel my order - I get another call from the salesman saying their GM had reconsidered and wanted to take my order. Sorry - but this is unprofessional, my time is valuable and last thing I need in my life is a high maintenance drama queen car dealer. Great service when purchasing the vehicle, sales guy named Johnny was great and worked with me the whole time. Very satisfied with my purchase, until I realized how horrible their service is after you purchase the vehicle. Two weeks down the road some plastic trimming falls of the vehicle. I take it in and they take pictures of the vehicle and tell me that my bumper to bumper warranty will cover it. Well long story short it's been two months since I took it in and I have been calling and calling until I finally told them that I will be writing bad reviews and letting everyone that I know not to go there. As you might guess they called me back right away. However the phone call was not what I expected, I had Jamie Johanason on the line, who is the individual who took the pictures and even gave him his business card the day I took my car in. As I am speaking to him and helping him remember my situation, he begins chuckling and states that he never took any pictures and then tells me that anyone could have handed me his business card. Well as you can guess nothing was resolved and I am still waiting on a phone call. This guy is a piece of work and I can't believe how lightly they take their customers satisfaction after they have purchased the vehicle. So basically just try to avoid this place. You may find a decent price here and get a good salesman, however after your purchase is made goodluck trying to get any decent service, and if you read other reviews I am not the only one who feels this way. read more

Had a service appointment at 12:15 on a Saturday for a simple oil change. Arrived early and turned my car in at 11:50. Went to the waiting area and waited, waited and waited some more. 2 hours later I called the service department for an update and they told me my car was done but it would be another half hour to 45 minutes for the car to make it back to the dealership.... WHAT. Uncalled for. I understand that the service is done offsite BUT please communicate with your customer and let us know how long our service is going to take. Next time I will strongly consider going to my neighborhood Jiffy Lube as opposed to making the 20 minute trek to Bellevue to have service at the dealership. read more

Absolutely the worst experience I have had!! They sell used vehicles that they do not disclose known issues with, nor do they report them to Carfax...................and I can prove this!!! They send out your credit report to excessive lenders, even when you have your own financing, because the finance guys get "spiffs/incentives" when they go thru CUDL (credit union direct lending) for the financing! I had told them that I already had my own financing, and was given a bunch of b/s stories. Got the credit union on the phone while I was there, and was told the truth. The finance guy told me that he only ran my credit thru a credit union, and of course................another lie, stacked on all of their other lies!!! I got a letter in the mail from Chase Bank yesterday............last I was aware, Chase is a bank, not a credit union, and it clearly states Autonation ford Bellevue on the letter. Glad I got my title back, walked out after a few choice words............went elsewhere the following week, and purchased a newer car than what I had chosen at Autonation, and got a much better deal, and they listened to what I said in regards to already being financed!! They were not pushy and shyster like they are at Autonation Ford Bellevue!! If I could give them a 0 rating I would! Also note, in regards to their responses to negative reviews on google...................they all seem to say the same thing, kind of the cut, copy and paste reply!! And, please call their G.M. I purchased a used 2006 BMW from AutoNation Ford of Bellevue last summer (2013). This was my first car purchase and I was VERY excited to do this at Ford of Bellevue. During the purchase agreement I was told that a small leather tear in the driver seat would be repaired "as good as new". Call me gullible for falling for such a silver tongued lie. Within a few months the repair slowly began to peel off and now reveals the same 3 inch tear that was present during my initial purchase. I was given their word that the problem would be fixed and clearly it was not. Awful work and they clearly do not care about creating a relationship/trust with their customers. I thought AutoNation had better customer service than that, espcially with a young new customer, that could have become a loyal customer down the road. I understand that the seat wasn't a life time guarantee, but it should have lasted much longer than a single calendar year. Not to mention that I've had to put in almost $2500 in critical engine repairs. To top it all off, when I called to explain my issue and disappointment, the manager denied ever having a leather repair machine and the salesman only tried to get me to purchase a new BMW. You want me to buy a new car from you after your last vehicle is already having problems within 1 year?!! YOU'RE NUTS!!! Disgraceful post-purchase customer service. In the near future, I plan on buying a brand new compact SUV. I was hoping this purchase would take place at AutoNation Ford of Bellevue, but without trust there is no chance I will ever return. This is my review of AutoNation Ford Bellevue based on my personal experience. Boy, I wish I had read the reviews before going to this place. I never would have gone. Now, I will never go back again. I arrived to see a specific car with my son and his girlfriend. The car was a P.O.S. so we started to look around for another car we had seen online that was also at this lot. We found the car and took a test drive. The salesman was Jeremy. Very nice, friendly and very personable. I would highly recommend him as a salesman but only if at a new dealer. Jeremy you deserve a better employer. Anyway, getting back to my experience. After much consideration my son decided he wanted the car. We knew the advertised price. Jeremy kindly gave his seat to the sales manager ( you know for the hard sell) whose name I can't completely remember, Hocken, Hogan?? anyway, he was all smiles and jokey. He came to the table with a piece of paper, set it in front of my son and told him to sign here, pointing to the signature line agreeing to the advertised price. I said to him " he is not signing that we have not talked about price". To which Hogan, Hocken, whatever his name is said to us " I am not negotiating on the price". What?? Was he serious? Did he think we were stupid?? I said to him that we were not paying sticker price for this car. My son told him what he was willing to pay for the car and he again said he was not negotiating on the price, he had just a "very small margin of $300.00 on the car and he could not come down at all." He had turned from a smile and joking to being very overly aggressive and completely rude. He then looked at me and rudely said "I don't know why you are getting so offended that I won't come down on the price." First of all I was not offended but outraged that he was being so aggressive. I said to him that it was ridiculous that he would think that someone, anyone would come to a car dealership and actually pay the sticker price. Well, he did not like that at all. He said he needed to "go check something". He came back and said nope there was nothing he could do as he was going to make nothing off of this car. My son told him again he was on a budget and could not spend over a certain amount. He finally said, I would use quotes but won't because this is not EXACT words, he said I have had so much interest in this car today you would not believe it. I have someone on the lot right now wanting to buy this car. I can't tell you who it is but they are here right now. I know a BS story when I hear one!!! Really?? He is here right now and you have had so much interest in the car? It has been on the lot over a month and all of a sudden you have someone here now? I don't think so. I turned to my son and asked I'm if we could "have a minute to discuss". Manager said do you want me to leave? to which I said no we would go outside. We gathered our things and went outside to discuss. We talked it over and neither of them liked his attitude or behavior and asked me why he was being so aggressive. Having lots of car buying experience I know that is what they are trained to do. They all do it for the hard sell. His behavior was beyond disgusting. We decided at that moment that we would walk away from the car. We went back inside, sat down and told Hogan, Hocken, whatever, that we could not go over X amount and we all got up and started for the door! But wait! He suddenly decides that he needs a minute to run some numbers and could we take a seat. Five minutes later he comes back, does not say a word, sets a piece of paper in front of my son. My son looks at it and says ok, they came down to his price. My son signed the papers and without a word Hocken, Hogan left. We finished the paperwork with Jeremy. Jeremy is a star!!! But wait, It gets worse. While we were waiting to see the finance guy Hogan, Hocken, started to bully our sales guy Jeremy. I won't go into specifics but he and 2 other employees were yelling, literally yelling at Jeremy. My son's girlfriend was almost in tears, it was so awful to witness. They were all ganging up on him. I felt so bad for Jeremy. The General Management here should be ashamed of these guys. Yelling at another employee and BULLYING HIM AND IN FRONT OF SEVERAL CUSTOMERS. Girlfriend asked me if we should do something. We did not know what to do. Very embarrassing for us and Jeremy. We finally met with the finance guy and we were out. What a nightmare. I felt sorry for Jeremy having to work with these so called other professionals. I too have called the General Manager DAVID DEAN twice, left messages and have not had a return phone call. Went there a while back to purchase a nogaro blue S4. First day I get there, it isn't ready to show (even though it is being advertised) fine, I left. A few days later I go back, still not ready to drive but I want the car. So, I fill out all the paperwork and have to wait until the next morning for the approval since all the banks were closed. They said they would call when I could go get the car. Great! Next morning I have not received a call by 10AM so I go down there anyway ready to drive my car home. I get there and they are in the process of selling it to someone else! They didn't even give a rats ass and completely blew me off. When I asked them about my approval they said "oh yeah, it came in this morning". My family has bought 5 cars from autonation dealers in the past but mark my words I WILL NEVER GIVE THEM MY BUSINESS after this fiasco. Not to mention they lost my paperwork on two occasions with my social security info on it (hmm, maybe I should get some legal action after you guys, pretty damn sure you are supposed to secure all sensitive paperwork BY LAW). Purchased for cash a 2015 Chev Camero from this dealership on7/26/2015 and was issued a temporary paper license. I was told the title and permanent plates would be mailed to my home address. As of 9/5/2015 I have not received either. Numerous calls to the dealership and sales person have resulted in nothing but excuses. Now they tell me that I have to drive (on an expired license) from south East Tacoma to Bellevue to pick up the plates when they are received. I have submitted a complaint to the BBB. This has been the worst car buying experience I have EVER had. They screwed up our paperwork because of their inability to "get it right". We had already moved away, only to receive word from them that our loan application had expired (basically because they didn't do it correctly. They had our trades and unfortunately didn't make the payments "because the paperwork wasn't completed" which of course affected our credit rating. The salesman, Tim, couldn't answer questions, wouldn't return phone calls when he said he would....almost like they had no interest in selling the car. Talking to the GM Corey was also an absolute waste of time as well as he was no help at all. Didn't even apologize for the problems. Very disappointed in this outfit after being a loyal customer over 6 years now. I purchased a new ford fusion with them & they had serviced regularly, since that time. I even purchased an extended warranty to 60k miles. Check engine light appeared 4 days after the contract expired, December 23rd,but I was still UNDER the 60k limit plus just had my vehicle there for servicing. Would they honor? No, per Brian service adviser when I called. Turned out to be solenoid failure at only 58k miles and cost $264 out of pocket. Will I return ever again? No. Poor customer focus & appreciation. They lost me for $264 & Ford lost me for any future car purchases. read more

I gave one star, only because I could not give them a ZERO. I took my 2011 F150 in for service, and the service adviser called to tell me what I needed to fix the problem, then said I also "NEEDED" to do several other fluid changes. When I questioned them, I was told they were recommendations. My F150 has 78,000 miles on it, and the Ford recommended interval for the service they recommended was 100,000 and 150,000 miles. DO NOT Trust their recommendations. I spoke to the service manager and he stood behind the recommendations of the tech and service adviser. The service manager told me they are NOT Ford, but they are Licensed as a independent Ford Dealer. He said they make the recommendations they see fit. I find it irresponsible as the "Ford Expert" , to have total disregard for Ford's published service intervals. I will never return to Auto Nation Ford of Bellevue. read more

Unfortunately I need to amend my review from a few months ago. Not even a month into ownership of my used 2006 Audi A4 the check engine light came on and there was an awful grinding noise whenever I turned. Upon taking it in to have it fixed through the dealership, they found the whole power steering was bad. They fixed that under warranty. The thermostat was not covered. (the check engine light). No problem. The car was not overheating or anything. A couple months went by the grinding is still there. So I took it into the audi store. I have been back and forth from Bremerton to Bellevue and back 7 times in the past 6 months. This isn't a review on the service department at Ford, this is a review on being sold a car that has had so many problems that should have been spotted during inspection prior to sale. I was under the impression that AutoNation sold quality vehicles, not money pits. Now I am stuck upside-down in this vehicle with no way to affordably trade it in. Very disappointed. read more

Kelsey Jones was my salesman and was very helpful throughout the full experience, from getting in the car and explaining the features of the car through to seeing me off of the lot. He was very, *very* friendly and I never felt pressured into anything at any point. The only thing that would have been more helpful is getting more explanation of the full process of custom ordering and what needed to happen at each step - but whenever I emailed to ask for different things, they were very quick to respond in a friendly manner. I had plans to buy the vechile myself after the lease. The heights of my foolishness was asking for the residual amount after 3 days which shocked me. (Return should be within 3 days). I'm writing this review for people like me who is new and believes on what people say. Enquire in 100 different places before buying anything, the sales person will make you feel like you need to buy today. Just ignore. Get the quote, do a test drive and move away. I have bought plenty of cars from this dealer (well over $100k) but recently I have had to deal with the service department for an oil change and 2 recalls. On both occasions I have been horribly disappointed. The first issue I have face would be the service representatives can't seem to understand you are supposed to say "hello" before they ask you why your here. The second issue is the loaner cars. I requested a loaner car over the phone they told me to come in and they can get me in one and when I came to the dealer they told me they didn't have one. While my car is In the shop for an hour and a half. I asked them if I can take a car on a test drive so I can make it to an appointment they told me that they can't allow people to take cars for a test drive. I won't be going to this dealer anytime soon I hope you guys heed my warning about the service department. Coming from Infiniti of Kirkland service department this is unexceptible. read more

This place needs some work and that's a given. I bought a Lexus IS 250 (amazing car) but the headache between the different people I had to deal with was annoying. Our FIRST impression walking up to the dealership was toward my boyfriend and he is half Mexican got approached asking if his name was "Hector"?! Uhm please don't just assume someone is named something by the way they look. Anyway we didn't deal with that guy which I was thankful for. We dealt with George which he was a happy go lucky guy and really helpful. Anyway we test drove the car for a second time and talked about concerns and decided to go forward and talk some numbers. As we are talking numbers he told us the lowest we can go with is ***** Which was a little bit higher than what we felt was fair. He goes back to his manager and comes back with another guy saying the lowest they can actually go was ***** which was a significant amount more than what the other guy said. He then undermined the other employee and said he shouldn't be talking numbers and he's gotten in trouble in the past. We DON'T care if that's a problem with him and everyone should be on the same page. Either way they insulted their own employee in front of customers which I totally don't agree with. They took the original guy off the sale and gave it to another guy. OH yah and they made us feel bad about the situation.. And the guy who "finished" the sale never walked us out, nor did he tape the temporary license plate paper to the back window. The FINANCIAL guy did it because he noticed it wasn't up on the window. (Totally not his job) His name is Dave and he was probably the best part of that place. I may come back but this is something this dealership needs to work on because I feel like this place made me feel guilty for how they treat their employees. read more

This was by far the best buying experience I have ever had! I was able to get qualified online and they had my vehicle of interest ready for me when I arrived. The paperwork was done in under a half hour and I was on my way in my beautiful new car. I got my van from these guys - a used Toyota. My sales man was Daniel M. which I highly recommend to anybody. Great person, responsive and helpful, not pushy and got us a great deal. The car is great, the service was so too. When we first arrived the van had some minor issues (as most used cars) but everything was fixed and brought to order just as agreed. Got my previous car and my current van from AutoNation and will definitely look them first when looking for the next one. read more

In summary, I would avoid this dealership. I used edmunds.com and the ford website to try and `internet search' for a car and deal. I was contacted by this dealership. They told me that they had a truck with my specifications. They `got me in the door' and we worked through all of the details to make a deal. They assured me they could get the vehicle. Then, they pulled my credit, made me sign a document with a price and specific VIN, and told me that the truck would be at the dealership the next morning. I received a call that night saying that there was some sort of `miscommunication' between their dealership and the vehicle they located. The truck actually had substantial aftermarket work that objectively changed the character of the vehicle. I told them that I did not want these extras. I wanted the truck that I (and the websites) clearly laid out for them. They then sent me trucks that did not fit my specifications. At this point, I walked away from that dealership to restart my search. This obviously wasted quite a bit of time and energy on my part. I found the truck that I wanted through my own internet searching and went to that dealership and bought it. The story, however, does not end there. The general manager of this Bellevue dealership contacted me about three weeks after my interactions with them. He indicated that he wanted to see if they could still sell me a truck. I thanked him for the email and communication. I then told him that I found the truck that I wanted and already bought it. I also copied a descriptive email between myself and his salesperson about why I walked away. Despite being clear and fact-based with my description about my experience (which could have been more integrated with an emotional response), the general manager did not respond well. He indicated that they spent time and energy on their end. Also, they do not appreciate when the `target moves' and they lose a deal. I responded saying the target did not move, they lost the deal because they could not find the truck that I specified. Further, I found the truck at a Ford dealership in Washington state with my own internet searching that matched the same specifications that I gave them and the internet search tools like edmunds.com. I had a pretty bad experience with this dealership. I would recommend avoiding buying a vehicle through them. read more

I am reviewing the service shop aspect of this dealership. I received a recall notice on a Ford vehicle and promptly made an appointment, they took the time to get me in as soon as possible. I made the appointment, went to the garage which was easy enough to find and told it would take less than an hour and I could wait. If I hadn't wanted to wait they had a shuttle service that would take me into Bellevue itself, which I found convenient. Regardless, I chose to wait. The waiting room had a television, water, coffee, vending machines, and restrooms (and outlets!). Needless to say, it had everything you might need though obviously not the most luxurious but that doesn't really matter for this type of business. After waiting about fifteen minutes someone came in to tell me that there had been a mistake and they had switched up my car with another similar vehicle and given me an oil change by mistake and that my recall maintenance might take a bit longer. I was annoyed by this, but hey, I got a free oil change. So I kept waiting, maybe twenty minutes later my car was done. At about 30-45 minutes it was well under the hour that had been promised and I had gotten a free service check-up and oil change out of it. Overall a really positive experience, further, everyone that worked there was really pleasant and helpful. read more

Stopped in today, 120 pm, to let my wife sit in the passenger seat of a 2017 escape and a 2017 edge. The purpose is to learn if she finds either vehicle easy to get into and out of. Also to learn if she finds the space between front seats acceptable. To do this we asked a salesman to show us one each of an escape 4wd and a edge 4wd. He passed this off to a little guy in a blue uniform. We told the guy we didn't want to walk far as my wife has medical issues. He proceeded to lead us to the farthest corner of the lot. I didn't understand this as a blue new escape was parked directly in front of the showroom, with the stickers and all. So we were being harassed. We left. I tried to find an email to contact the dealership, none. Tried to telephone at 145 pm, no answer. I'm planning to spend between $25-$45K on a new vehicle, and some dealer will get that business. This one will not. Perhaps you will have a better reception. read more

I have had some great and then okay experience here. I have however been using ford for a few years now really... since I've been driving sooo 8years. They are wonderful! I have had a lot of trouble with my car but Jamie J. has been so helpful. I'm a college student and I know dealerships are normally more expensive but they clean my car each time! and then they try to make it as affordable as they can and this last time since they knew I wouldn't be able to pay 1000, they brought down the cost significantly and his manager even chipped and helped with labor cost!
