I told the salesperson that I was there to look at this particular car. Immediately he said it was sold. Then I asked how long ago it sold...because it was still posted. He said a couple of days ago. Then he said hold on let me check. He went to the back hallway and asked this other guy if he sold the car. Things got a little quieter and I couldn't hear what they were talking about...but the conversation was a little long for a simple yes or no question....is the car sold ? He came back out and told me he thinks it's still there. He said he had to find the keys and would bring it around to the front. He did. I took a look ...I was interested . I noticed that there had been a sticker that was removed from the window ..still had the glue mark on the glass. Important clue for me. I asked if I could drive the car and he said he would have to ask his manager. Weird..but ok. Got in to drive and I was told I couldn't leave the parking lot area. Even stranger. Said it had to be saftey checked. It had already been posted online and on the floor. But if I was interested it still needed to be finished being checked. And wouldn't be available yet but I could start the process. This was BS for sure. So I said I'm interested...but only if we could do a little better deal. He said sure let's go in and talk about it. He asked me did I have the online price and could I pull it up on my phone...I said yes . This is their site ....he knows the price. This is where everything starts to crumble for me. He's talking too much. Side tracking. And I'm trying to put all of these things together....it just started to feel off. He kept telling me all of these things that you get when you buy a used car from them. A year warranty / first service ...blah blah blah. And this is why..... I asked before we run my credit....by the way excellent....wasn't worried about that. I wanted to know what the cost would be for the car. He talks about writing down a price going to his manager coming back to me....that same crap. I don't do the back and forth. What's the price that you want for the car. And then....out of his pocket he pulls out a crumpled sticker....the one he obviously pulled off the window before he brought it around to the front. It had an additional couple thousand added to the online price ....it was all their add ons . No Way. It's a used car. Total bait . Car dealerships need to stop this crap. I was asked how much I would give. I said I would give 1000 less than the online price...plus tax and license. They said no. The problem for them was I would have given the full online price except for the fact that they tried to play me...and I felt slighted by that. I agree with Tony L's review. Spot on. And I definitely agree with S.W. review about this particular sales person. People are in business to make money . I get that. Be transparent....dont boost up a sticker price with coatings and door gaurds and crap like that. Do better. Truly disappointed.

So since I'm not pulling my horse trailer any longer, I decided to go back to stock and they removed the broken system. Now she's riding better than ever!!! With my truck at over 10 years old, I have correctly put my trust in Shaun and the Jessup family. My experience with jessup has been nothing but disappointment. The 1st week of having the vehicle, the transmission light came on, so I scheduled an appointment and took in to get serviced for a valve body repair under warranty. The service took a couple of days, but as soon as I picked the car up and drove it off the lot, it immediately started acting funny--violently shaking and having a severe engine misfire. It is incredibly frustrating to buy a new vehicle, have it throw a major transmission code immediately, and then get it back from the dealer with entirely new, severe engine performance issues that weren't there when I dropped it off. Clearly, something was either disturbed during the transmission service or quality control completely failed to check the car before handing the keys back to me. Now I have the massive inconvenience of dealing with a compromised car and having to take it right back to the shop. Extremely disappointed with Jessup Auto Plaza.

Warning About Nissan Cathedral City…read more I purchased a 2017 Jeep Renegade from Nissan Cathedral City on January 2, 2025. Within months, the car developed major mechanical and electrical failures, including cooling fan issues, shorted circuits, a malfunctioning backup camera, a broken sunroof motor, and more. The vehicle has now been out of service since May 12, 2025 over 115 days and counting. Despite my purchase coming with both a dealer warranty and extended coverage, Nissan has refused to take responsibility, provide a refund, or replace the vehicle. Instead of standing by their customer, they have left me paying for a car I cannot drive while I continue to deal with rental car expenses, insurance, and the financial and personal hardship this has caused. My advice: Do not buy a car from Nissan Cathedral City. They do not stand behind their vehicles or their customers when problems arise. I am sharing this to warn others so no one else in our community has to go through this nightmare.

My husband decided to take the ride out to Indio to check out the car since it was over 100 miles away from us. (Yes, that's how much we liked the car lol) Long story very short, everyone we came in contact with was professional & respectful. They were not "pushy salesmen" like most people are used to at car dealerships. They made us feel welcomed instead of just a sale to them. Upon inspection of the car, we did notice something was broken. They acknowledged that they missed it & fixed the problem without any issues. When we got home, unfortunately there was another issue with the vehicle that we immediately brought to their attention. We had to drive back in for service on the initial broken part, so they looked at the new issue too. Everything was fixed according to the service dept. We got home & realized unfortunately the 2nd issue was not resolved. We called them & they set us up to be taken care of at a local repair center due to the distance from our house to the dealership (they did an exceptional job btw) All in all, even with a few hiccups - we couldn't be happier with their service & professionalism. Things happen & nothing is ever going to go perfectly smooth, that's life- but, wow. They made sure to make things right & went above & beyond to make sure we were taken care of, communicated with us & never left us wondering. **side note - the facility was clean, the restrooms were kept up & clean, they had waters, coffee & vending machines for you while you wait. I purchased Sierra Denali for 70K, while driving down the freeway a plastic piece on the front of…read morethe hood broke. To prevent it from breaking completely off I had to tape it to the hood. The dealership has told me this piece was not covered by warranty. It's a 70K truck that had a piece of plastic break while I was driving down the freeway. At a minimum this was a defect, they should take more pride in their products and take care of their customers. They questioned everything I told them about what happened and came up with every excuse possible to try to change what actually happened so they wouldn't feel obligated to take care of it. At a minimum do not buy any of there ve, they fall apart while driving down the road.
