Hello. i have a 2009 vw gri that needs the plastic intake manifold assembly replaced. also the AC stopped working. can you possibly provide me with a quote? thank you…

Peter can definitely provide you a quote. All you need to do is call his shop. Sometimes he can give a rough preliminary estimate over the phone with enough information, but it's better and more accurate if he can look at the problem directly.

Previous diagnosis from independent service shops all pointed to full replacement of transmission and mechatronics unit. When driving the car, I always felt like I was dealing with some type of poor electrical contacts. I also feel like others who had previously diagnosed the car had come to the same conclusion but had concern about capabilities and abilities to warranty work. Alan and his team to the rescue! Dug into the transmission and came back with not only really firm diagnosis but also reported out that the transmission was in excellent condition. He also complimented me on what he could tell was a well maintained example of a 7 Series. He was familiar with the symptoms, vehicle and solutions. I'm am roughly 8 months into enjoying my vehicle after a couple of really frustrating years of trying to find an honest and reliable place to just tell me the truth and give me a fair price! Hopefully this review will encourage other having electrical issues tied to their drivetrain to give Alan a call!

I brought my car in due to an intermittent gear slipping issue, which I had already traced to a solenoid problem--a very common issue with my Pontiac G6. The symptoms only occurred twice, very briefly. My check engine light came on both times but turned off on its own. I was still able to drive the car on the freeway at full speed with no issues. The problem only showed up during city stop-and-go traffic. I specifically asked if they could just replace the solenoid, and was told no. Instead, I was told I "only had gears 1 and 2" and that I'd need a $4,800 transmission rebuild--which is objectively false, as I literally drove the car 70+ mph on the freeway both before and after leaving the shop. My engine light was off before coming to the shop, turned on once at the shop, then turned back off shortly after leaving. There is no way my car had only gears 1 & 2 I know what that feels like as it happened twice briefly. So to say this to me is insane. Mind you wouldn't have been able to go more than 25 with out the car struggling they must have assumed I don't know a thing about cars. Possibly because I'm a woman and I went alone. They also claimed the solenoid was too difficult to access without replacing the computer and warned me about my car's mileage, as if that meant it wasn't worth fixing. But then, on my way out, they admitted it's a "really great car" and "this is the only issue." It felt manipulative. I decided to trust my gut, went to a different shop, and had the solenoid replaced--and now my car runs perfectly fine. No rebuild needed. If I hadn't known what I was talking about, they would've gladly let me spend thousands on a completely unnecessary repair. Trust yourself. Do your research. Don't let fear-based upselling push you into something you don't need. Also from reading the reviews it sounds like the routinely tell their customers they need a rebuild and successfully do the rebuild. (more than likely something very easily replaceable) However a good transmission shop doesn't just rebuild, they properly and honestly diagnose and repair. He also tried selling me cars on the way out. Notice how he hasn't replied to this yelp review and also told me he feels bad for me in the text? Very unprofessional I don't need your pitty I needed honesty which I didn't get from this shop. He also told me don't buy a used car you can't guarantee you won't have problems it's best if you fix this one with us. Also told me not to go to another shop because id want a local shop lol

We recently purchased a vehicle from Carvana and used a…read morepersonal mechanic to do a complete car check; turns out Carvana sent a lemon and was trying to pass it off as a "decent" car- So we were recommended to bring it to a "certified" carvana shop which happens to be this excuse of a shop. We were told that one of the closest "certified" carvana shop was AAMCO Transmissions & Total Car due to the fact that it was the transmission being the issue this would be a better shop to go to- WRONG! So now that you have context, i'll explain the terrible service we've received. We dropped the car off at AAMCO on June 18 (thursday) @ 12pm and we were told we wouldn't hear anything back until next day. So far, normal. Right? Well here is the frustrating part, we got a call on Friday with great news that the car is ready to be picked up, we were asked to give them about 30-40 mins to get paperwork together (which worked out because that's about the time it takes to get there) Alas, we got back to the shop around lunch time (closer to 1) on friday and first of all- they had the vehicle parked in a red zone, in front of a fire hydrant. (see photo) When we walked in, the gentleman we dropped it off to recognized us immediately and said "You're here for the tahoe right?" we responded with yes. Now another gentleman sitting in the lounge, eating his lunch interrupts and immediately says "you can't take the tahoe, oh no, the tahoe isn't ready yet" Baffled we asked, "So why did we receive a call from someone here saying the car was ready? " his response - "who called you?" We responded with "a gentleman named Isaac" he proceeded to argue back "noooo, that car isn't ready yet" he then asked for our phone number and when provided, he realized HE was the one who reached out and told us the car was ready. But it wasn't. As he realized - there was no apology , no sincerity in his voice, and just blatant disrespect by laughing it off. Noticeably upset we continued to ask questions "so why did we get a call that the car is good to go and ready?" and he just said "oh that was meant for someone else". Now even more upset because he wasn't taking accountability and giving us zero information about the actual vehicle. Until we finally turned to the other guy who pretty much told us that we have to get a brand new transmission ‍ Which was entirely brand new news from the last phone call we got. Now, we aren't impatient people and understand that mistakes happen and miscommunications happen all the time but what we felt was disrespectful is that he just laughed in our face, while this has been a stressful task to begin with. With gas prices these days, driving back and forth for no reason is upsetting. Again, no sincere apology from him just laughs, while continuously stuffing his face with food mind you. WAIT WAIT WAIT- UPDATE! We showed up today June 20 (saturday) to pick up the car so that we can get it back to carvana, lo and behold - NOW THE CAR ISN'T EVEN STARTING! Carvana sent us a lemon and now they are making us deal with disrespectful sexist men. Yes, due to the fact that we are women is the reason I believe we were treated like this by Isaac. Interesting how the whole time it's been in our possession since Monday it has started totally fine, now we take it to the shop and they told us it was a 50/50 chance it would start. Again, the one younger guy that was there was decent but the older gentleman (i believe his name was Isaac) is a poor excuse of a human. Anyway, management- Isaac needs a refresher on how to speak to customers or just a reminder to be kind and to just take accountability. We're all adults here. Never recommending this business to anyone!

Eran is the best! If you're not car leaning or knowledgeable, and/or you're hesitant and doubtful…read moreabout moving forward on any used car, you don't have to worry about it and can completely trust SafeBuy and Eran! He's the consummate professional, excellent work ethic, and absolutely knowledgeable and competent. Eran is so awesome and accommodating. He seems ready and eager to work for & with you, and he made himself available as best he could with me. Even though it's clear from his website the area range he covers, and that he's open to go even further (for, in my opinion a small additional charge), he went extra far for me; and furthermore he's always ready seemingly at a moments notice (which won't always be the case, of course, but shows that as long as he's available, he'll jump to work with you [reflective of how awesome service & work ethic he has])! The extra (again, for an small [IMO] additional charge) he was wonderful in considering for me was even as far as a used car dealership in Roseville! Just FYI, for him Gilroy is too far (haha, had to try, because he's awesome and I was desperate for the car, so for him to). And he works hard to make it that his customers don't have to do anything additional, and that he'll take care of it all -- he doesn't expect you to meet him there (although you have the option; he offered/was-open for me to be there to do it with him, but since the dealerships were like 40+ miles out, I opted not to), or to meet with him beforehand, or even afterward; you can correspond and coordinate just text and/or phone. If anything, you just might have to call the dealership and give them a heads up (telling them the time and Eran's name & business). He goes out, takes the car for about an hour, and checks everything. But beyond that (and what I mean about excellent work ethic and consummate professional) is that he documents it all (photos on top of his notes), and he goes in, around, and even under the car and looks at all the nook and cranny of all the car parts & aspects. He took plenty of photos of anything remarkable of the car (dents, paint deterioration, oil/grease stains [underhood of the car], interior issues, etc.). He has a whole form with a checklist that checks ranging from fluids to condition of belts to lights working to hoses to condition of the tires & brakes and the rest; even takes note if there's a spare tire & wheel jack. Of course he hooks up his OBD tool to check for any codes. Then he sends you the report with all of his findings, gives you a call to talk it all over and he gives his impression, then you send payment -- he's really cool about payment and states "however you want to pay"; Paypal, Venmo, Zelle, Apple Pay, Cash, Check, whatever. He gave me the impression that I wanted him to be my own mechanic; so I even asked him. And it's a credit to him to have replied that, to keep professionalism and can't claim exploitation, he doesn't do both (PPI and mechanic). He is on the high end of what you might estim8 ($180; more if you send him outside his normal area/range [I don't believe more than $200]), but I was happy to spend that on him. I'm a novice with cars (general knowledge enough, but not enough to be able to identify whether car parts are in good order and/or would last or not), so I wasn't confident in my ability to buy my first used car. I used him twice (would have been three times, but Gilroy was too far away). In the end, the used car I got has worked great for the last 6 months. And he saved me from buying an amazing car (high end Hyundai; $3k) but in such under-the-hood horrible shape that it would've been 3x the cost of the price just to repair everything -- which is proven when I saw the listing remain for 2 whole months and priced reduced twice down to I believe $2800! After it all, I brought my used car to 2 mechanics after him, and they confirmed 4 out of the 6 concerns he had -- which, granted, it's not like Eran has a car lift and a whole lot of time to thoroughly check as much as a mechanic with a garage would. He mistook cosmetic blemishes on the serpentine belt and the brakes as old age and maybe needing to be replaced -- which didn't end up being the case. But he did get the transmission deficiencies, signs on a certain valve gasket, parking brake, and other aspects right on the mark. I can't say good enough things about him! I was only able to feel confident enough to buy the really old used car that was in my budget because of him. And it's been nothing but a success! 6 months later, after taking care of the issues and potential concerns Eran noted, the car has not given any problems (that could have been foreseen; it still is a really old car so some things are bound to have come up organically) -- proving how much Eran and SafeBuy is really stellar and impeccable! If you're not the best with cars, you can absolutely trust Eran and SafeBuy; as much as you can trust his willingness, commitment, integrity, experience.
