Got our battery changed. Pretty fast and they took our old one when switched for a new one. Nice employees, open parking lot.

While I was looking at generators for a future purchase, he came over and asked if I needed help. He not only answered my generator questions but also helped me make a better choice for the project I was working on. I came in planning to buy a jig-saw, but after hearing what I needed, Amir recommended a grinder instead. His suggestion was spot on! I left with both the jig-saw and the grinder, and I'm thrilled with my purchases. Amir's knowledge, professionalism, and customer service turned a simple trip into a great experience. Because of him, Harbor Freight will be my first stop for future tools!

Everyone was helpful, the store was clean and also organized. My only issue is the website needs to be updated, it often times says thinks are compatible and my recent string of returns is because the products listed as compatible on their website and sold by harbor freight were not indeed compatible. Also beware the website as they do seem to post some negative reviews but not all of them. My review was for the Bauer router table and it not being compatible with any of their brands routers like it was advertised to be. Customer Service: 5 stars Return Policy: 5 stars Website: 0 stars

Customer service at desk isn't great. Usually the person is also disgruntled and likely just overworked so I suspect this place is just understaffed. Anyway I called this morning to see if they could fit me in and the guy (store manager I think) told me they might be able to fit me in between appointments to get my a/c issue at least diagnosed. Told me to get there within an hour so I left my house immediately. I waited for him to finish multiple phone calls and look through papers for 15 minutes. He was more interested in answering the phones than he was responding to the customers in line. He took my info finally and it took about an hour and 15 minutes for them to do an a/c diagnostic (the mechanic found me to talk to me). Then I had to wait in line again to check out... The whole time I was there, I had to wait for the desk guy to answer about 6 calls while I stood there waiting. ALL THAT SAID-- the mechanics here are fantastic. They get to the point, tell you exactly what's happening without wasting your time. This time, he let me know that the dye would take some time to move through the system so it'd be better for me to come back in a week than to just sit here and wait the whole day. He refilled the coolant or whatever and said it'd probably work fine until then. As a systems engineer, here's my free consult, Pepco: maybe train the people at the checkout counter to answer the phone about scheduling an appointment so that in-person customers don't need to wait for the customer service rep to answer phones.

Understood, went home and made an appointment for today because they had an open slot online. Went back with a 6PM appointment and Happy still said they couldn't see my car because he had already told me earlier he wasn't looking at my car so it just wasn't happening today. His unprofessionalism and condescending attitude are a disgrace. I don't know if they were short staffed or why exactly they couldn't see me today but this is ridiculous for a business to conduct themselves like this. There DEFINITELY wasn't any attitude when I was buying hundreds of dollars worth of tires a few months ago. Both interactions were EXTREMELY disrespectful!

Vernon Memorial Hwy., Alex., VA 22309. A friend took her car there to have a flat tire repaired and a turn signal bulb replaced. They suggested that she have her oil changed as well - which she agreed to. When she returned they presented her with a bill for $274.54. Being the quiet person that she is, she paid without question. She told me about the charge and I asked to see her to see the receipt. The first item that jumped out at me was that they charged her $45.00 to check her battery, charging system, and starting system. She never asked them to perform that service as there wasn't an issue with the electrical system. They told her that her battery needed to be replaced. It was less than two years old, so she declined since she knew that IF there was a problem, it would still be under warranty. Nonetheless, they charged her $45 for a service she never asked for or authorized. They charged her $68.99 for the oil change PLUS $36.00 for oil change labor. The price of the oil change included a filter and the first 5 quarts of oil. HOWEVER, they charged her an additional $12.00 for a 6th quart of synthetic oil. According to her OWNER'S MANUAL the engine only holds FIVE -5- QUARTS of oil - MAX. They charged her $10.99 for a replacement bulb PLUS $45.00 labor to replace the burned-out bulb. This is a TWO MINUTE job, which I demonstrated to the service writer when I went back to the station with her. They also charged $40.00 to plug her leaking tire. Obviously, I have no power to dictate their ridiculously high labor charges so we accepted those, but I did insist that they refund the $12 for the extra quart of oil that was never put into her car. Also, since she never requested a check of the electrical system, I insisted on a $45 refund for that 'service'. Unfortunately, she still overpaid for the work that was done. The service writer was argumentative and belligerent from the moment he saw the two of us approach with the receipt in hand. I believe that I was only successful at getting a refund of any amount because I repeated the list of overcharges several times as new customers arrived. I DO NOT recommend that you patronize this establishment! Forewarned is Forearmed . . . Miguel de Cervantes Wish it was possible to leave negative started rating!

The lady checked and quoted me two prices: flooded battery is $179 with 2-yr warranty and AGM battery is $230 with 3-yr warranty. I stated I would go go the AGM. She told me the battery had to be delivered to their MD store from their VA store. I agreed and told her I needed the battery that day as I had secured someone to install it for me. She said no problem call me back at 5pm and I'll confirm if it's been delivered or how far they were away. I called her back at 5pm and she said the driver was minutes away from the MD store and I should head to the store to purchase the battery. I headed to the store and advised I was there to purchase the battery. That is when I was told the battery was $279 with tax it was $297! I told the guy I was quoted $230 by that lady in the VA store. He tried to lower it to $255 plus tax but would not honor the $230 price even after calling her who also confirmed she quoted me $230z. I was left driving around store to store trying to find a battery before stores closed at 6pm to ensure I had it in time to have it installed that evening. FRUSTRATING! Lost a customer and earned a BAD review too! Olympus do better! Honor your price quotes - that's what a good business does!!!

They always have the parts I need and best of all, they are at least 50%, if not more, cheaper than any chain auto supply store in the area. The service is excellent and they seem very knowledgeable. I can't say if the other locations are as good, but just in case you're not near Alexandria, it's worth to check out.
