Had trouble getting my headlight bulbs in today. 2 employees came out to my car and got them in. They went above and beyond.

I came in not that long ago and asked for rear rotors + brakes. They gave me fronts. Ok, no problem. I come back to exchange. The lady is very antsy and is giving cues she has to use the restroom. Again, no problem. Please use the restroom. Then, she doesn't do an exchange. She does a return. I asked and called for 3 days before finding out this was the case. But the real kicker? She gave me brake pads, like for free. Then when I come in the customer service is just terrible. The man there is rude and the lady clearly has 0 clue what she is doing. This is absolutely beyond me and it is so irritating having to wait to get my parts when I asked and called multiple times. read more

Store employees need some serious customer service training. One of the older guys there is great, but the younger guys that work there a) always look angry, b) don't greet you, and c) have a pissed of tone in their voices every time I go there, like I am inconveniencing them by being there. If you don't like your job, go somewhere else. It's the main reason I shop online for most of my auto parts. read more

Hi, today 05/23/25, I bought a small tool from Auto zone in 4408 Elverta Rd Antelope, CA 95843, the young employee was extremely rude and and doesn't know how to talk to a customer. I was this store longer before and confronting the same rudeness employees, at this time I thought they gave their employees more training how to deal with a customer. I had a great experience at this store the other day I had to write a review! First, I had a battery issue that was resolved by AAA but while having the battery changed out, the technician suggested I have a diagnostic test to learn where the little bit of smoke was coming from under my hood. I called around for pricing of a diagnostic test (not cheap, for me anyway) then spoke to my brother who is a retired District Manager of Auto Zone here in NorCal. He told me Auto Zone does FREE diagnostic tests. I took my car to this store and was very politely assisted by a young man I believe named David. He was very nice and efficient and also gave me suggestions on how to keep my battery in good running condition. Test results were great, no issues. Turned out I had debris that had settled in and that's what was burning. Thank you Auto Zone for another positive experience! The staff here is very friendly and even though they were slammed with customers, they were polite and even apologized for the wait in assisting customers. Auto Zone has always been my go to for my auto needs but this solidified it even more. read more

Came in on January 31 for a simple headlight purchase. Expected to be in and out. Brought in my lightbulb from my headlight. I walked in and saw the employee glued to his phone and not wanting to help me. I asked the part # and the employee grabbed the bulb out of my hand and told me the #. I didn't let him take it and grab it by the glass, I asked for the part number. I then asked where the bulbs are and he pointed i a general direction, I went there, to the wrong area. If he wasn't glued to his phone he could've corrected me or actually helped me. Then he said they don't price match, which is fine, again while he was glued to his phone. But I found the lights $20 less on Amazon so I didn't plan to buy them there. Asked him for some wipes and alcohol to wipe it from where he touched it, and he gave me attitude back saying he didn't touch it, but I know he did. But whatever. I didn't argue. Took my newly cleaned bulb and left. It was around 7:50pm when I was there, in case management cares to verify I'm not lying. But I won't be coming back here. Have been for years and am in n out usually. But tonight's experience was awful. I felt like I was bothering his Tik Tok video time. read more

Shout out to the customer rep, Mike, for providing 5 star service. I came here on the Labor Day Monday to grab oil and an oil filter so the trip was short, but that didn't stop him from providing efficient and friendly service. There was a couple waiting to get their battery changed and he made sure to acknowledge them to let them know that he knows they are waiting and he will be right with them. It's always nice when a place acknowledges that you're even there. As for our service, we knew exactly what we wanted and needed but Mike went the extra mile to not only make sure we were getting the correct products, but ensuring we were getting our loyalty points and knowing how much we saved. We already knew we were saving money but I think it's refreshing that we weren't trying to be hassled into buying something for more money, especially when it comes to cars. This place deserves glowing reviews. I drove my car to Winco, which was across the street. However, it did not start in the parking lot and was boxed in so my wife, who was awesome to come try to jump start it, was unable. We went over to Autozone but did not take a photo of the battery, so we had to go back to figure out what kind it was. Jake, the manager, offered to drive back over to the parking lot with us and brought a portable jump starter to help me get it going. JAKE WAS TERRIFIC! My wife's battery had drained from not being used for awhile. Came in and one of the employees, Shawn, tested the battery and said it only needed to be charged. Left for a few hours, returned, and the battery was charged and another great guy, Jake, put it right back in and now wife's car turns over like it should. Much appreciated! I've been to this location a few times and the customer service is ALWAYS on point! Came in yesterday (Labor Day) and the store was pretty busy. The workers always greet anyone who walks in through the door and if it they are not attending to a customer at that moment, they will ask what brings you in and if you need help finding anything. Mike was helping out yesterday and he was very efficient--being able to assist and acknowledge multiple customers. I really appreciate that because most workers in any industry sometimes won't even acknowledge that someone will be with them in one second or verbalizing that they'll finish a transaction really quick. Mike knows how to build rapport with customers and that's super important because it helps build trust with customers and makes them want to come back. He made us aware of the rebate that was on the receipt that I otherwise probably wouldn't have even known since I don't typically read the extra stuff at the bottom of the receipt. Thanks Mike! AutoZone Manager on Elverta in Antelope threw the printout of the item I wanted to purchase After saying heres your fucking paper. He then proceeded to throw the item down on the counter and has how you paying for this, When I said cash, He went to another register and began to help other customers. When I asked if we could finish my transaction he said you need to come to this register. I then told him I was a Veteren and wanted the Military discount, he ask for my Identification, After showing it to him by laying it on the counter. He looked surprised at my rank and picked it up and threw it down. I then asked him who the hell do you think you are taking to and throwing things at. I don't know how you treat people in Sucramento but I am from Oakland and we don't get down like that. You uneducated uncoothed an unrefined prick. To all Veterans Avoid This Store. The customer rep named Jake was being rude and unhelpful to me. I came in to swap out my battery under warranty, only had the battery for a month. He tested the battery right infront of me saying yes it's completely dead. I knew because I couldn't jump my car. He said my battery was at 6 and not a 10. Cannot even start the car with the battery. I just wanted a new battery. He didn't allow me to swap it (it's on warranty I got it a month ago) right there on the spot after testing my battery. He gave me a ticket number and made me wait for the battery to be charged for 3 hours. I told him I don't want it to be charged, I need a new battery. He said come back in a few hours. I ended up waiting because he didn't allow me to swap the battery under warranty. I called 2 hours later and he told me the battery was definitely dead and you need to get a new one. He knew it wasn't going to charge. I complained to him in the phone call that I should have gotten a new battery from the start. He ignored it and told me to come in. I came in to get the new swap under warranty and he tried to lecture me like it's my fault for the battery dying. I just wanted a hassle free new car battery swap under warranty. Especially if it's only been a month and my battery is covered under 3 year warranty. read more

Favorite Autozone in Antelope Ive come in many of times early in the morning or late at night. The crew is always very helpful and friendly. I just ordered my radiator from here this morning and came back to pick it up after work everything was easy and ready to go. The tall slim manager Phillip helped me find the extra parts I need and Brandon I beleive was his name even helped me carry my stuff out to my car. This AutoZone is A1 I mostly go to this location unless I reallly have to I'll go to another one. I was near AutoZone when my electrical system started acting very weird. I pulled into AutoZone to have my battery and alternator tested. The guys were great. They were able to determine that it was my alternator in a matter of minutes. They had the new one in stock and loner tools for me to fix my car right in front of the store. He complained with a snotty attitude that the customers need to know not not to return items in the morning because they don't have enough cash in the till.
