I visited this location on 05/22 after confirming at another AutoZone in Niles that my car battery was still under warranty. The staff in Niles were incredibly helpful they checked my profile, verified my warranty, and informed me that I could get a replacement battery at no charge. Since I didn't have my car with me at the time and live closer to Jefferson Park, I went there instead. Unfortunately, my experience was drastically different. The employee at this location (wearing gray) was unprofessional and dismissive. He initially claimed he couldn't find me in the system, but when I checked myself, my profile and warranty were clearly there. Still, he insisted I wasn't covered. To make matters worse, he made a completely inappropriate comment suggesting that some people "do this kind of stuff" when their warranty is almost up implying I was trying to scam the system. I was shocked and offended, especially since my car had genuinely failed to start that morning and I needed a jump just to get there. When I stepped out to explain the situation to my uncle, he came in to talk to the employee. At that point, the employee began changing his story and seemed nervous when my uncle mentioned legal consequences for denying a valid warranty claim. I left feeling discriminated against and belittled, especially as a woman just trying to get a legitimate issue resolved. I've never had this kind of experience at AutoZone before, and I hope the company takes steps to ensure all customers are treated with respect and fairness regardless of who they are or which location they visit. read more

Jesus is a lifesaver! After Amazon bamboozled me with windshield wipers that said they would fit my car- I thought it might be easier to head to the store instead. Five stars all the way! The headlight in my vehicle was burned out and I was having trouble removing the bulb to bring inside the store and use as an example of what I needed. I explained this to the store manager and he asked to take a look at my light. He found the right bulb and replaced it for me right there in his parking lot. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. My expectation when I arrived was to simply purchase the part and head over to my mechanic. Autozone exceeded my expectations by going above and beyond. I am very grateful for the help. Wasn't sure if I needed a new battery or an alternator, so the manager whose name I did not get, came out checked it, confirmed it was the battery. I had thought I found a proper replacement online, but he double checked and found a better replacement. We had a European battery, so it wasn't as easy as matching numbers. The guy was great, very nice, polite and helpful! read more

I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart to Raul I believe was his name a friendly thoughtful and amazing human being. It was cold and snowing I had a issue with my trunk that was insecure and giving me a headache. Raul looked at it once and did not want me to leave with the issue right away got to fixing it. Literally in the cold this man did not have to but went out and fixed my trunk he made sure I left with a secure vehicle. It was really speechless. He did an amazing job I will never forget and highly recommend him to get employee of the month or employee of the year and is a example. He went above and beyond to the highest standard and overall just a great human being. I might of got his name wrong but Iam sure it was Raul. Either way give this man a raise or a bonus. This is nothing against this store or the personnel, they were great. This is about Autozone corporate . I was returning my brake pads which were under warranty. They made the change but the replacement pads had a much smaller braking surface. I can't put smaller pads on my vehicle which will not stop as well. So I had to buy new pads to be safe. I went on the autozone web site and complained. No answer at all. I also tried to use there chat feature where no one answered. I have spent thousands of dollars over many years at autozone and now I may have to go elsewhere. Watch your warranty replacements for improper parts. read more

Needed a battery for my vehicle. Alberto Lopez is the man that came out to check things out for us. He was extremely kind, knowledgeable,and guided us to an educated purchase. A no nonsense kinda guy with a large friendly personality. We knew that we were in good hands. No rip offs, straight to the point. He stuck with us and installed the battery in good timing, yet took his time to make sure all was well. He refused a tip and simply asked that we fill out the survey. We were in and out if there in 25 mins! He even checked the alternator. Great service, good prices,and not made to feel as if we were a bother. Yup our new run about go to place for auto issues that do not need a *shop*. I highly recommend this Auto Zone! And we will be back. I need windshield wipers lol. read more

I had waited way too long to replace my car's wiper blades (understatement) and a big storm was forecast. When I called to check whether they could install them, Raul answered, said they could, but first checked the availability of wipers as the coming storm had caused an uptick in sales. Lucky for me, they were in stock and after I arrived and purchased, Raul cheerfully installed them. I've been in here a few times for random accessories for my car but I just went in right as they were closing to have a few fuses replaced. Antonio quickly opened up the hood and found out exactly which ones weren't working and replaced them for me. The customer service is always great and they are very helpful no matter what I need. 12/2021 5* Service. Service. Service. WOW! They were awesome here. Daughter had a dead and dying battery. Needed it replaced before the freeze tonight. Stopped in, and bought the battery. Price was pretty good, no complaints there. But the service. WOW! Bardo really, really helped out. He not only sold us the battery, but removed the old one, and installed the new one. Saved me at least 2 hours (in the dropping temperature cold) by his 15 minutes of help. He was fast, energetic, smiled through out. Bardo really helped. He laughed at me when I took a pic of his name tag so I would remember it and spell it correctly. Well, here you go Bardo. A shout out to Bardo as a great reason to bring us back to the store. I live in the suburbs. They smile here, but the service is not nearly as good or the same in the burbs. This place was amazing. I may drive all the way over here for my needs now. They were able to check my car battery free of charge and were able to deliver quick and outstanding customer service by helping me and other customers checking out...Unfortunately I had a bad battery so I ended up buying a new car battery leaving the store within just 15 mins and once I got home and installed the new car battery sure enough my car started without a problem! read more

My check engine light came on. When I called the dealer, they offered to diagnose the problem for $120. When I balked, they advised that if they had to fix something, the $120 could be used toward that. However, when I called Auto Zone, John Moreno told me to stop by anytime, ask for him, and, yes, he would diagnose the check engine light for free. Just as the commercials promise. So I did. John was the best. There was no wait time. He came out to my car, did the diagnosis, and showed me the results on the computer. As he said, "They are a little vague and ambiguous." He thought it might be from putting the gas cap incorrectly after a recent fill-up or maybe just a bad gas cap. Because the light had been making me nervous for a while, I asked how much a gas cap would cost. He told me $10, but he also said he didn't want to sell me something I might not need. Even on my budget, buying a new gas cap made sense to me. John installed the cap, cut off the old one, and told me the light would probably go off in a day or two. FIVE MINUTES out of the parking lot, the light went off and hasn't come back on again. John Moreno is my HERO!!! read more

Needed to replace a ratty worn windshield wiper blade. The clerk showed me several that fit my car. After I bought one, he took it to my car *IN THE POURING RAIN* and replaced it for me without any prompting from me (I would've been fine with doing it myself). I know it's cheaper/convenient in some instances to buy car parts online, but hell, it pays to support the friendly neighborhood businesspeople!! read more

Great selection, nice location, along with friendly and helpful staff. Purchase new windshield wiper arm/blade and they will install for you as a courtesy. Also, I had a light out on one of my outside lights on my car, i purchased and they installed it fo me at no charge as well. There are other courtesy services available (battery installation, diagnostic check, etc) so call them first if you are having a minor issue. read more

My good friend needed brake lights and we went to Auto Zone and Jesus helped us out. He was very kind and helpful. We didn't know that they can put the new brake lights in. AND at no charge. WooooHooo, we were sooo happy, it didn't even take long at all. She went early in the morning to Firestone and they charged her almost $50 to change one front light blub. Terrible !! I went here yesterday for an oil deal. The guy kept suggestive selling me, but I kept politely declining. He then tried adding on these two bottles they had on special sale at the registers to my purchase, which I had not agreed to. He had offered their rewards card by saying, "We have a rewards program also, and don't worry it's free", in a completely rude tone. As I was walking out the door I overheard him make that cookoo whistling noise. Really? I was nice throughout the whole transaction, even though you tried adding things to my purchase and implied I was cheap, and you're going to insult me like that? Reading the other reviews this place sounds nice, so I don't know what happened and how I got stuck with a rude person. I'm returning my stuff today and going to O'Reilly's. read more

This week has been beyond stressful, if anything could go wrong it has... but I walked into AutoZone today thinking I would be in there for at least an hour trying to figure out which brand of windshield wipers I would have to buy, how much they would cost, plus trying to install them... but that wasn't the case at all. I walked in and was done within 10 minutes. Nelson was beyond helpful, courteous, and so friendly I was shocked by how extremely kind he was! I told him my issue, he came out to inspect it, knew exactly what to do picked out a great set of wipers and even installed them for me!! Honestly that was the most pleasant transaction I've ever had to deal with what a lifesaver! With this winter craziness hitting us this week (rain/sleet/hail/snow) I don't know what I would've done without Nelson's help! My windshield wiper broke off during the bad storm last week. I quickly drove over to autozone and was very happy with the service. One young man helped my pick out the right wiper for my car and then another service person(might have been the manager) told me he would install it for me. I wanted to give him a small tip for helping me and he said no thanks, it was his pleasure. It's nice to see some retail stores still give good customer service. I needed, what I now know as an air flow hose.....I have a '91 Chevy Caprice & since my check engine lite came on, my husband discovered that mine was old & brittle & falling apart. He took the part of it in & told them that it goes from the manifold to the air filter & they told him to go to a hardware store!!!! A couple days later, I went to Advance Auto & walked out of there less than 5 minutes later with the $6.00 part! Hmmm, guess who I'll be doing business with?!? read more
