I went to get a bulb to replace a burnt out one in my tail headlight. I asked one of the workers there to assist me in putting the bulb in. I guessed early on that something was gonna break given his hesitation in touching literally any aspect on the car the entire time that it took to replace the bulb. While he unscrewed the side pillar I heard a snap & you have to remove the side pillar before you can get the tail lights. In the end, they broke something in it. He screwed back in everything when he was done, but left the side pillar wobbly..even verbally recognizing that it was wobbly too. Don't ask Maximilian for help with doing anything physical with your car :) If you don't know what you're doing it's okay to admit that before you start breaking apart things on a vehicle because now I have to spend money fixing something you broke read more

Just visited this location to get new windshield wipers. A gentlemen let me go in front of him because he had a longer order. The teen/young 20 year old that helped me was chatty during the transaction and also asked me what level I wanted to pay for the wipers. He didn't try and force me to get the most expensive ones or anything like that. Then he went right out to my car and put them on and I was on my way! It pains me to give this AutoZone even one star after my experience there yesterday evening. I stopped by in Grandview to get my battery tested in my truck. They tested it, and it came back that my battery needed to be replaced. The young, male employee took me over to the battery wall to point out what battery I should purchase. As he was picking up the Duralast Gold Battery from the wall, the corner flipped open and liquid came out of that particular battery. It was so much liquid that it caused small puddles on the floor. I jokingly said, well, I don't want that battery. He went to the back of the wall and picked out a different battery, but the same type of battery. He left the oozing battery front and center in the wall. After paying the male employee had to search for the green cordless drill. When he located it he realized it had not been placed on the charger so it was dead. He and the female employee in the shop had to have a 5 min conversation about it. He then carried our battery outside to change it in our truck. This is where the downhill descent began. The male employee had to take 2 trips inside to get items that he either forgot or didn't think at first he may need to change a battery. For example the ratchet and WD-40. When he came out for the 2nd time, he said that his co-worker was going to finish the job. So he went inside again and left us standing there. We waited for the female employee to come out. When she arrived she struggled to get the old battery out of the truck. When she finally got it free she lifted the battery up, but not high enough, so as she pulled it out the heavy battery hit off of our brand new headlight. As she was walking away she said sorry, but when I quickly looked at the headlight, she had SCRATCHED our brand NEW headlight. I was a mix of emotions. Everything was going wrong. I know it is just a headlight, but it is a headlight we literally just replaced. I did not get upset at the time with the employee because I really just wanted the battery changed. When she came out again she realized that the previous employee did not bring out the lube for the battery and the green and red pads. So she proceeded to go inside again. I don't want to make this story so long, but if you can only imagine how long this is taking and we still do not have the new battery in the truck. Fast forward, she finally got the new battery in the truck. I started up the truck and then the truck shut off (on its own). She tested the battery that she had just installed and the battery read BAD. So all that for nothing so far. She had to completely get the battery out again. And then she went in to get a different battery. I thought to myself after seeing everything that has happened so far, I bet she gets the leaking battery. My fiance ran inside, and sure enough she had grabbed the leading battery from the wall and was coming to install that in my truck. The male employee never cleaned up the liquid or removed that battery from the wall. And we had been outside over 40+ min now. That is a complete failure. What if I had not stopped her? She retrieved a completely different (hopefully non leaking) battery and brought it outside and then just left us standing there. When she came back outside she had cash in her hand and she walked right past us. I quickly realized she was walking over to Greek Express to get food. She was getting food while our battery was still not installed in our truck. Are you kidding me??? We waited and as she walked back with food she let us know that her male coworker would be out to finish the job. My fiance and as for a towel and some tools and we installed the second battery ourselves. This whole ordeal took over 80 min. It was the worst customer experience I have had in years. And now I have a brand new scratched headlight thanks to AutoZone. I can not stress enough that you should go somewhere else for your battery / car needs. Do not stop in here. I needed a battery changed and I didn't know until I went in around 7:30 this morning. Had it checked and the thought sitting on my mind the entire time that I just need go and get the battery so I didn't have to worry anymore. My instrument panel was just flickering every time I started my car. I listened to the gentleman that told me that it's best to just replace the battery rather than wait. Went back around 10:30 and the man who changed my battery for me was I'm pretty sure Desjauan. He's a wonderful man and someone who I could recommend to anyone if they need help from what I experienced. Wes is the MAN! This is the absolute *best* AutoZone I have ever been to! About three weeks ago, I went into a different AutoZone location for a standard battery change... a pretty routine procedure, that these stores see multiple times a day. This battery change, however, caused the negative battery terminal on my F150, to become loose, and on my way home from work yesterday, I lost all power in my truck, my steering wheel locked up & I was forced to pull off into a parking lot about five buildings down from this location. Thankfully these guys, Wes in specific, know exactly what they're doing. After about three hours of attempting different ideas, the clamp would not tighten around the battery enough to give it power, and I'm not exaggerating when I say that he tried *everything.* He knew he could replace the entire terminal, the problem being, his store didn't have any in stock (and by this time its going on 8:00 pm). I decided to call it quits, and I left my truck in the parking lot & called an Uber to get home. Today on my lunch break, I gave Benny, the manager at this location, a call to ask if there had been any update. Turns out that they were able to fix my truck this morning, and *on his day off* Wes had gone to another location to acquire the part needed! This location gets five stars across the board from me, in terms of Customer Service, Automobile Knowledge, and Work Dedication. It was clear that these guys knew what the problem was & they weren't going to stop until the job was done. As of today, they have gained a loyal customer out of me, and I will frequent this location over any other AutoZone from here on out. Amazing customer service by Tay and Frankie! I came in needing to remove my out of state license plate for my new Ohio one. The original screws were rusted through and I was unable to get them out on my own. One screw ended up breaking inside of the hole due to it being so rusty! They were able to install a new license plate bracket with new screws and switch my license plate for me! The people at this Firestone are so friendly , I felt so comfortable asking for help and they were kind enough to do the work for me. Car battery was dying, we put it on a charger so that I could start the car in the morning, and I called a couple places to see if they could install a new battery while I waited, so that I could make it to work. One place said no, based on my car model it was too difficult and would take 45 min. This AutoZone location said yes. I drove right over, and Michael installed a new battery in less than 15 minutes, and also put on the new windshield wipers that I purchased. Very friendly and helpful.
