I am not the person who enjoys writing reviews, but I will take the time to write one since I think it could help people out. I have been to a lot of bad mechanics, but I will allow the others to write reviews on crappy places. My car had an unusually complex problem with dying and not idling right, which turned out to be a couple of different things at once. Unfortunately, most of the population does not realize that 90% of mechanics have no clue what they are doing and always take the easy way out to band-aid problems, which cause even more problems, and they still charge you a full price. I wasted a few hundred dollars taking my car to different shops, but none of them fixed the problem. However the last place suggested I should take my car to Bob Auto Repair and see David. Bob Auto Repair was the only shop in town that was able to diagnose it. David fixed it amazingly and even kept in line with the estimate. They even fixed another problem that another shop had screwed up on my car while it was there. I have been ripped off by mechanics so many times I can not bare the suffering of others in these type of issues. I took my Honda into the dealership and walked away with an estimate of $8,996.79. Honda dealership said it was a transmission along with airbag control unit, spark plugs and some other maintenance that needed to be done. Since I don't know much about cars wasn't sure what to do. I got online and started searching for local repair shops with best ratings. I found BOB Auto Repair, and took my car to have them check it out. Within minutes not only did they figure out the transmission was fine, but they figured out the real issue. It ended up being a VTEC pressure switch which ended up costing $725 total. Less than 10% of the cost Honda quoted me. It's hard to find a shop that you can trust, but I can say without a doubt that BOB Auto Repair guys are trustworthy! My Mercedes needed some repairs, so I brought it to the local dealer and they listed out a ton of repairs and then the several thousand dollar quote. Yikes! Since I am new to the area, I looked up BOB Auto Repair and thought I would give them a try as they do a lot of work on German cars and got some good reviews on Google. After looking at my car, it turns out a lot of the work was not necessary and some of the parts needed were cheaper at BOBs vs. at the dealer. They were very professional and there were no surprises when they called me with the quote and after the work was done. They explained all the work that was done and how they tested it out after to make sure the problem did not resurface. These guys are honest and do great work. I just recently moved to the location and was looking for a reliable mechanic to take care of my family cars. My neighbor recommended Bob Repair and I just can't say enough good things about this place. I was waiting for a few weeks before the review, this allowed me to take my car, my daughter's car, and mom's car to get a good sampling. All I can say is customer service and honesty come first here. That's right, a mechanic can be honest. They saved me from having to replace my compressor by giving me options for saving money. I do my own maintenance and repair on my vehicles, but whenever I get stuck Bob's Automotive Repair is my go to shop. Recently an O2 sensor went out on my car. I replaced it but the check engine light came back on with the same o2 sensor code. After hours of self-diagnosing and coming up with nothing, I brought it into Bob's. They replaced the wiring harness for a reasonable charge, but as I was driving home the check engine light came back on.The next day they found another cracked wire further along which they fixed. when I came to pick it up they did not charge me for the additional repair. I love this repair shop. They have been in business for a long time. They fixed my cars multiple times and I was absolutely satisfied with their service. They do fast and reliable job and most importantly the price is reasonable. Any time I have a question they give me straight answer with no BS. Best mechanics I have ever been to, even beats my old mechanic back home in New York. No mechanic has ever taken so much care to explain exactly what is wrong with my car. It is a very good feeling to find a mechanic that you CAN trust and who you know is not trying to make money off of you by offering to fix things that are not broken.
