We have been going to this shop for 18+ years. My car was making some noises and I didn't feel safe in it. I dropped it off on a Friday and they told me it was in need of brakes badly. The owner was able to squeeze me in and get my brakes done that way I was in a safe vehicle. I couldn't appreciate this more. They always help us out in a pinch and always give us the right value for what we are paying for. If you need mechanic work and you're in the Guilford area, Guilford Texaco is the way to go!

It completely won me over. I never wetn back. Phenomenal people - beautifully laid out - totally professional. My most recent experience - last week - was I walked into the store - as I so often do - in need of some advice / expertise. There was a friendly young man, Zach. I asked him a somewhat technical question about a piece of equipment I wanted to buy. There were several types at a range of prices. Zach led me - with perfect clarity to the right piece at the right price. Then explained to me exactly how to use it. I walked out - as I always do from this great store - with a COMPLETE solution. Zach is a young superstar on the rise. Great attitude. Knowledgeable. Provides above and beyond service. his extra effort didn't result in any immediate dollars going into the store's daily revenue. But it solidified in my heart and mind why O'Reilly's is my ONLY go to store in their specialty. I recommend to O'Reilly's Auto Trader Corporate. Sneak in a video camera and train it on Zach on any day he works there. You could use that as an absolute role model for training others. I was driving at night, got off exit at 2am and had to sleep in my van in 0 degree temperatures. Chris invited me to come to his shop and let me jump to the front of the line on his very busy day. I was in by 8:10 am. He got my van diagnosed, parts delivered and I was back on the road after lunchtime. I am so grateful to him to help me get back on the road. I am a dog/house sitter and I was expected in Annapolis that night. The homeowner had already left the country for a trip. Chris and his team were not only professional but generous in their efforts to help me. I was told where I could get lunch and I was able to sit in his waiting area for hours, have bathroom access and even had a fireplace turned on because I was cold. Three weeks later an error message came up in my car saying I needed to check the air pressure on my tires. I did. The next day I received the same message to which I put air in the tire again. The day after, the message appeared twice-once in the morning and later that night. Of course I was puzzled and spoke with my daughter after putting air in the tire again. She suggested I take the car to a tire store, get it plugged because obviously I had a nail in it; it would be cheaper. I knew I could not afford to purchase another tire for the truck at that moment. I spoke with my granddaughter and she convinced me to take it back to the dealership since I'd always talked about how I always received great service with them. I called North Haven Volvo and made an appointment and was seen that day. My son took my car since I was unable to get off from work and I told him to ask for Steve since that was who I initially spoke with. My son took my car and they found a 2 inch screw lodged inside the tire. My son was told had I driven on it a few more hours, the tire would have burst. Because the tire was still under warranty, they replaced the bad tire with a brand new tire and I was not charged for the labor or the tire! AMAZING!!!!! Later on that afternoon, I received a follow-up call to see if I was pleased with the service and if I was experiencing any problems.
