On behalf of my Dad: Dear Auto Zone, On Monday 7/14/25, I returned from work to find my battery dead in the parking lot. I vanpool to work and possibly left my lights on all day. I reached out to AAA for assistance but they didn't have my battery available until Wednesday. Once they jump started my car I drove to AutoZone and was greeted by Christian (Chris) Meno. He looked up and confirmed they had 5 batteries in stock. After a long day at work and long commute back from LA I asked Chris if he could possibly replace the battery for me. With no hesitation he said yes, he loaded the battery and tools onto a cart and followed me outside to my car. Chris was very courteous, knowledgeable and really made my day. I have been an Auto Zone customer for many years. It's refreshing to see and receive help like this from your employees. Please continue to hire more guys and gals that have this work ethic. I live in Rancho Cucamonga and this was on my way home. I stopped and simply asked for a part and the parts manager was a jerk from the start. I have never had such a bad experience with AutoZone. I normally go to different ones in Fontana but this one was on my way home, and I never will return, I had a simple question about a part being in stock, and he gave me a huge attitude about it not being a stock and for me to call other stores. I came in one night around 8:30 pm on a Monday. During the week they close at 9pm so I was cutting it close if I was going to need a battery swap. My car had been malfunctioning on start-up so I was pretty sure it was my 2 year old battery. The staff member kindly came outside to test the battery, but said he was getting an error on his reading. He said the battery was dead and it was going to take 2 hours to charge before he could test it again. This was the process that needed to be done if the warranty was going to cover the battery cost. I was dumbfounded because I drove my car there so it had to have a charge. I wasn't going to argue with staff, so I decided to bring it back the next day to test the battery. On the next day I arrived around 4:30pm. There were a lot more people to get some help from. The supervisor came out to test my battery, and immediately said, "yeah you need a new battery." Ricardo who is a staff member was already outside changing a battery so the supervisor asked him to change mine as well. Super cool dude, changed my battery and apologized for the wait. Ask for Brett when you go to this Autozone on Cherry. I went to get a free testing (ie. battery check, starter, alternator & diagnostic code) on my 2010 Honda Civic LX. During the free testing, Brett noticed my car was sputtering. He volunteered to check other possibilities on why my car was sputtering. He told me that my fuel system may need to be clean because everything came back good on my testing. He recommended a product called B-10 fuel system cleaner. I was really impressed with his expertise and knowledge. He also took the time to educate me on how to use the fuel system cleaner for when I got home. I am a woman so I am not "mechanic savvy," so I really appreciated his friendly, caring service. Brett your manager should be grateful to have you. I had an urgent need for a battery yesterday. A very nice young guy started helping me. He explained right up front he was new and asked us to please bare with him. We told him absolutely we all had to start somewhere so do whatever you need. The older gentleman helped the young guy then actually changed out my battery for us and was very informative and caring! Another AutoZone turned me away because they were short staffed but Issam and his crew helped me replace the battery right away even though they were busy and also short staffed. My daughter's 2010 Ford Fusions didn't start. I cleaned the posts and cable with baking soda and water. Dried top/ sides of battery and it started slowly. Luis at autozone checked and advised the battery is now dead/won't take a charge. I wasn't able to restart the car. Prorated & Core exchange saved me $. Luis replaced the battery after cleaning and had me buy battery cleaner and protector since terminal rusted and rust runs down. The rust was visible. Cleaner bubbled down the cable, the protector I was advised runs down and may solve the rust problem. Luis did a great job advising me and replacing the battery. read more

This is the worst place Subject is: A bad battery. They said they will prorate my battery and give me credit of $80 towards a new battery, Since I remember paying something around $100 to $120 for that battery,  so I said ok give me a new battery and l will pay the difference, so far sound good right ?  well, here is the problem, now the battery is worth $180, I said WOW,  but what can I do,?!?! I need a battery,  I said ok give me a battery, when he brought the battery I realized it was a much smaller one, lower in AMPS, instead of a 750 AMPS (like the one I have) he is giving me a 500 AMPS, when I asked him why his not giving me a 750 AMP ??  his answer was "They don't make them that size any longer"  at this point my blood started to boil,  and I realized that if I don't get out of there fast, something bad will happen over a damn battery, So I left my old battery there and walked out, came home gave it thought and I think I did the right thing by walking out, so here I am writing this review,  If I could give a negative star,  I would've. Went in right now just needing help to replace a key fob battery. I was unsure of which battery so I asked the older guy working there could he help and he told me no while walking away from me. So I left and went to the O'Reillys four minutes away, O'Reillys helped me right away and I was out of there with a new key battery (they even installed it for me) within five minutes. Horrible customer service. Went in to get a light for my car and was helped by a very lazy and uneducated "manager". Once I finally paid for what I needed, I then asked to borrow a tool SINCE the sign in front of the store advertises free tool use hoping I could fix my light right then and there. Asked the employee if I could borrow a tool, he is hesitant to not only allow me to borrow one but to even answer my question, looking at me funny. Then realizes how RUDE he is treating me and finally answers with an "oh I'm tired and have had a long day". Keep in mind I went to this store no where near closing time.
