Autozone and I have a love hate relationship. Some times things are great and we are the happiest couple imaginable. Other times I am just short of winning a restraining order from them in response to my super animated displays of dissatisfaction. Times like when they give me a part that is manufactured wrong and for some stupid reason, I spend way more time than is even possible, trying to make it work anyway, before finally cheating on AZ with another part supplier who has the part CORRECT...... I digress... This location is right next to little ceasars and management has turned over half a dozen times while I have been shopping here. Some better than others. Entertaining at times. Frustrating at others. Currently I think the crew is pretty good. So far. Mind you I almost always have part numbers when I come in to avoid the confusion which is so common now days. They did good 1 time, really bad 1 time, and so so a handful of times to date, leaving them right dab in the middle with a 3 star rating. The store is clean. Newer. The greeting is always welcoming as you enter the store. The store is well lit and never stinks. The prices are generally the best in town and they do price matching. I will keep coming here as I don't have many choices. When/If they get their act all the way together I will adjust my review accordingly. Buy online ship to store is an option as well as ship to your home. They also have an app which I have found very useful.

This store has amazing customer service and goes the extra mile to ensure you understand any issues with your vehicle or car needs. I went in for a free code reading which typically cost $125-$175 for a auto mechanic to run and tell you then charge for parts labor etc... after reading my codes the friendly Associates assisted me even further by generously offering to look up the code meanings, and print me out the parts/prices and said it's not to difficult to fix. That a couple you tube videos could help get the job done. Good work Auto Zone. Only been in about 2-3x but always great service and help! :)

I saw it on Amazon, but I try to buy local instead of through Amazon when I can, and on the product website it said that it was also sold at Napa stores, so I called this store, the Napa Auto Parts store on Palm Avenue in Auburn. It was a Sunday, which may have factored in to what happened. The gentleman on the phone said that he didn't have it and that no other nearby store did either, so I either asked him if he could order it (or he offered, I forget which), and said that it "should" be in the next day (Monday) and that he would call me when it arrived. I offered to pay with a credit card but he said they don't take credit cards over the phone and that I could pay when I picked it up. It's $100 a bottle, which may also have factored into what happened. They didn't call on Monday, so today (Tuesday) I went in to see if it had showed up. I asked the fellow behind the counter (who wasn't the person who took the phone order) if it had come in, and he said that it wasn't available but that he could order it. It took several back and forth exchanges to establish that it was never ordered, but that he could order it. It went something like this: Me: "I had someone here special-order an item two days ago, I'd like to see if it's here. It's a bottle of Steel Seal, it's used for...(explanation)" Him: "We don't have any in stock, and none of the stores around here do either, but I can order it and have it here today." Me: "I already ordered it, it was supposed to get here yesterday, can you see if it's here? Like in the back or something?" Him: "We don't stock that item, but I can order it" Me: "I already ordered it, it was supposed to be here yesterday" Him: "I just checked stock, we don't have it, do you want me to order it?" He seemed a little annoyed and didn't seem to care that this had happened and didn't offer an apology or an explanation, although he didn't really owe me any of that. But if I was working there I would have said "listen, I'm really sorry, there was a mix up and the item wasn't ordered, but we can order it today and have it (whenever) if that works." But to be fair, who am I to judge? If I knew anything about working in an auto parts store, I'd be behind the counter myself! So next time I need something I'll probably just order it on Amazon.

From the moment you walk in, the team is friendly, knowledgeable, and just easy to work with. You can tell they actually know their stuff and take pride in what they do. Pricing on wheels and tires was very reasonable, and everything was explained clearly--what was wrong, what needed to be done, and what could wait. No pressure, no surprises. I think the head suspension tech/owner (Jim) might be the Michael Jordan of tire, wheel, and suspension installation. When I had an issue with something in my suspension, he showed me the part and explained why it needs to be addressed. I know a little bit about cars but Jim would explain an issue in a digestible way that someone with no car knowledge or mechanical aptitude could understand. That's a rare gift in the automotive repair industry. What really stood out to me is they don't move forward with any additional work unless you give the green light. That level of transparency and respect is rare. Also--random but worth mentioning--they have the cleanest restroom I've ever seen in any mechanic or retail shop. That alone says a lot about how they run their business. I'll be honest, I spent a bit more than I expected on both visits--but I left feeling 100% confident my vehicles were safe and the work was done right. That peace of mind is worth it. I trust the guys there, I trust their work, and I'll absolutely keep going back for wheels and tires. Already recommending them to friends and family. 6 out of 5 stars

I came in the following week and spoke with him in person. Jim was transparent, honest and had a lot of knowledge to offer. When I didn't understand something, he showed me actual parts to help me visualize and understand (clamshell bushing). After going over options, I opted for Bilstein 6112s (3 inches)/5100s (1.5 inches) + rear springs, SPC UCAs, clamshell bushing and CV replacement. Labor cost and prices for lift kit/parts were are very fair here. Original Wheels also had everything I needed in stock for same day service so it was very accommodating. My 4Runner is a little beefier now and I just love the stance. Ride quality is very smooth with the 6112s considering I drive about 40 miles daily for work. I'll definitely be back in the near future for some 33's or 35's. Come check them out for wheels and tires as well, they have a huge selection, definitely something for everyone. I previously purchased Method wheels and Falken Wildpeaks AT4Ws from these guys a year ago as well. Absolutely my new go-to shop and would definitely recommend them to others!
