The Parts Sales manager (Abraham S.), who rang up my oil purchase, volunteered to put it in for me and was very helpful with some good suggestions for keeping my car in safe condition. Great service from a manager named Lindsey and a black haired female associate. Needed help with freon and they both went outside and helped me trouble shoot my issues. Was originally helped by someone named Michael who stayed at the counter and in general just seemed to want to get me out the door- not very friendly and not helpful- didn't try to answer questions other than the bare minimum- told me to read the back of the product label. Really appreciated the other two associates going the extra mile and providing hands on help suggesting further solutions to me after. read more

Audrey was of no help whatsoever and when I asked if a manager could help, Audrey returned by saying Josh wouldn't accommodate me either. Complaints were filed this morning as of Saturday 7-18-20 to the corporate office. I'd suggest going to Napa or O'Reilly's which are both neighbors of this store. I came here to replace a headlight on my car. This place was close to my house so I decided to stop by. I came here mid hours on a weekend and it was slow as could be. As soon as we walked in, I was helped by a guy at the desk. I told him the model, make, year of my car and what my issue was and he was able to find the item that I needed. He explained to me the differences were and told me that if I was happy in anyway that I would return the item (even if it was opened). Need less to say I was a happy customer and didn't need to make a return. Highly recommend this place! read more

I was visiting Prescott from Phoenix and 5 min away from my final destination, my car battery died. After getting my cat jump started I drove straight to autozone where I knew they could change my battery out in the parking lot. Thomas greeted me instantly and got me all taken care of. He inspected everything and sure enough, my battery was rapidly approaching 3 years old. I bought a new one, had it installed and everything took less than a half hour. The other day I called inquiring about new brake pads. The gentleman on the phone (who was really kind) told me that unfortunately Auto Zone didn't carry the model of brakes I needed yet. (I have a newer car). Today I drove by and decided I would stop in just to double check. I was met by Josh who right off that bat was friendly, greeted me, and asked me how he could help. I explained the situation, he double checked and also found that the brakes were not available. What I really appreciated was that he went out of his way to check the store website, and sure enough he found the brakes I needed and they were in stock. He was so knowledgeable about the brakes, the warranty, and took the time to explain all the questions I had. " Parts is parts" So, for me what makes a good parts store is the service. This Autozone does a great job. They acknowledge you the minute you walk in the door. If you are walking up and down the aisles, they ask if they can help you find something. And, if they don't have it in stock they get it in pretty quickly. There is another AutoZone in the next town about 20 miles away. There have been times when this AutoZone is out of a part but they have it in - so they will just have the parts sent over and it's available the next day. The other cool thing is that they will even help you with installing certain parts right in the parking lot if you need it. You are not going to get a transmission replaced, but having a hand with windshield wipers or a battery is really great especially if you're not a mechanical oriented person. read more

Engine check light lit up on my Porsche SUV this Sunday morning and I stopped into AutoZone on Miller Valley Rd., Prescott as suggested by my out of town mechanic. Thomas at AutoZone instantly performed the diagnostic test and I passed along the results to my mechanic...he told me to have them reset the diagnostics on the vehicle. Thomas performed the reset..terrific fellow and excelled at customer service! The entire diagnostic and reset took less than 3 minutes. Thanks, Thomas!! read more

Went in to get my son a battery for his car and salesman DQ graciously said he would put the battery in for us and also put in a part so the battery won't slide around. Terrible service. I called to see if someone would help me replace my battery. They said they would. I even gave them the year, make and model to be sure. Still said it wouldn't be a problem. Drove over there the same day and asked the guy on (9-6-22 at 2pm) if they had time. He let out a BIG sigh and said "sure..I guess" made me feel like it was a big inconvenience. He was treating everyone around him like crap. As he went to go grab the tools I could still hear him sighing. Really dude? If you don't want to do it just make up an excuse. Oh wait he did. He took one look at my vehicle and said there were some " Accessories" in the way. I was going to tip this guy $50 dollars. His loss. I went across the street to O'Reillys and the guy said the only accessory that was in the way was a Hose. I watched him take the hose off in 30 seconds. Thankful for the kind man at O'Reilly. The dude at auto zone needs to learn some manners. I'm glad my tip went to the right person. read more

I discovered a dead battery on a Sunday as I was heading out to kayak with a group on Watson on a full moon night. My first thought was.. I'll never find a new battery on a Sunday. Then I discovered AutoZone. I called them and they had just what I needed and set everything aside for me. I got a jumpstart and headed over there and they had everything ready, put the battery in for me and I was on my way within 15 minutes. While visiting Prescott I noticed a headlight was out on my 2011 Tacoma. I researched on the internet on how to change the bulb. Every video or text I read said I needed to replace the entire unit, which involved taking apart the grill and other vehicle trim. I called the dealer who had no appointments available for several days, but recommended buying the part and having a private auto repair place fix it. I went to AutoZone on Willow Creek to buy the part and was waited on by the manager. To my surprise he stated I didn't need the entire headlight unit, just the bulbs. He took the time to remove the burnt out bulb and replace with a new one. He even changed the working bulb on other side. The man saved me several $$$. I feel bad now because I can't remember his name and It wasn't on the receipt. But watching him deal with us as well as other customers I could see he understands exceptional customer service. My two sons and I came in the store a few days ago to get a replacement bulb for my car. Honestly, though I know how to change my oil and put a spare tire on I always dread having to do anything with my car and was thinking it might be a long task to take out the head light and put the bulb in (like it was on my previous car)...anyway.... the store manager was very engaging, professional and helpful! (I believe his name was Javier) He actually went out into the cold, rainy day and put the bulb in there for me which made me happy because my boys were visiting only for a short time and they wanted to drive my car.
