I made a telephone call to this AutoZone to see if they had the part I was looking for. An employee answered and said "There are a few people ahead of you, can you hold?" I foolishly said yes. I was on hold for a long time, so I drove from my office to the store. Then I walked in and looked around for parts for about five minutes, then left. There were about 5-6 people waiting to check out, but the line was moving. It wasn't so busy that some couldn't have picked up and asked for my number to call me back. After leaving I drove to a tap room to get a beer. All this time, I had my phone on waiting to see how long it would take them to pick up. I took screen shots! They never did. After a little over 36 minutes on hold, someone just hung up on me. Don't waste your time calling this store. There are better auto parts stores out there. read more

I just went to this location to pick up some oil and brake pads. DAVID J. was very helpful and when they didn't have the Gold pads for my truck, he discounted the platinum pads. He checked to make sure I had the correct oil filter without me asking, just to be helpful. He noticed that I could save money with a different brand filter offering a bundle discount. David has outstanding customer service and makes you feel like you're family. I plan to return here anytime I need something for my truck. read more

Came to this store this morning to buy a new battery. Mike, behind the counter was absolutely awesome. Not only did he install my battery for me, but he had to deal with battery connectors that didn't want to come off the battery. He could have just said he wasn't able to get them off and send me to a repair shop, but he stuck with it and after trying multiple tools was able to get it off. I have had good experiences with the level of service and parts availability at the Folsom Blvd location. By comparison, the Bradshaw AutoZone is half the distance from my location but they frequently do not have parts in stock and the employees are poorly trained. I have been given parts which were visibly incorrect several times. More than once an inept employee insisted I not believe my lying eyes because their catalog is always correct (it is not). So I just go to the Folsom location now. read more

2 days ago Good morning sir or madam I was just at your location on Folsom Blvd in Rancho Cordova ,I must inform you that your staffs customer service would get a zero if that was choice. I asked one of your employees about type of oil he recommended for small engine and he told me he didn't no because this was automotive store and that I needed to know what type of oil I needed, I had a verbal altercation about his customer service and requested to speak with manager who helped me and than I thanked him. I approached the same manager outside asked him how they could have an employee that talks to customers the way he talked to me. He informed me that I was the problem and that's when I returned the items I purchased and writing. This review to you expressing my displeasure with my experience in your store. The employee threatened to knock my teeth out. I showed up at 8:20pm and I needed 1 hose. My boyfriend sent me to the autoparts store with the old, damaged hose and information that it was part of a cooling system and had been leaking water. I had the vin for the vehicle as well. I didn't know and (neither did my boyfriend) exactly what the name was for the part it came off of... My boyfriend was looking for that while I engaged the reluctant worker, Trilli? Large, older African American guy. He puffed and complained about having to research hoses. Despite its distinct weird shape, that could be easily matched with pictures, in the database, he scoffed and complained and said he didn't have time to "waste". It's not a waste of time, he needs this. He will call back with information we need momentarily, I said, I described the manifold intake where it came from, still not yet recalling the right words.. he rolled his eyes and wouldn't cooperate or contribute much with the database brightly lit in front of him. "You get paid by the hour and this won't take ...even 10 minutes I bet if we work together ". Ordered Next Day Delivery, to find out it is NOT NEXT DAY!! False Advertising and Misleading Ads. Next day is considered once it is processed and shipped, which takes anywhere from 2-6 days. Waiting several days for a critical part, fuel pump, to get vehicle running when expected delivery was yesterday. Being told from customer service it may take and additional 24-48 hours.... This store will sell you oil , and of course will charge you the recycle fee as they are supposed to. When it comes time to recycle your oil, this store is very unreliable because way too often they claim their recycle tank is full and can't take my oil. I now only do business with shops that will take in used oil and honor the recycle effort I paid them for. read more

I just recently purchase a new battery because my old one wasn't holding charge anymore. After running the new battery from auto zone it started fine but after awhile on cold start even through out the day even if it 70degree outside of it sitting longer then 1 hour. It will have a bad cold crank start, the battery will cut off and I have to wait few sec to try again. Long story short. I try to exchange the battery but was deny because they deem it to be a perfect battery, also I was charge the core when I bought the old battery when purchasing the new one, I wanted to see if it the battery because every thing else on my old 2004 honda accord seem fine. Friendly, kind and honest service by Gerald today who replaced my windshield wipers and refilled my wiper fluid. He saw me in the aisles looking at the catalog trying to figure out on my own which wipers I needed and he took the time to help me. He didn't have to install it for me but he did. I regret not taking "before" photos of this giant "scuff" I made on my car's front bumper. So, I have never been in an accident nor have I ever made any blemishes on a vehicle. That was until last night. I hit the divider in between a parking spot, and when I checked for the damage, I totally raged!!! I was like a tiger, screaming and scratching. All I could see was dollar signs emptying from my bank account for a paint job. After about an hour, I decided I would try my luck at a local car store. Let's just say I struck gold. George calmed me down and, after viewing my car, made some good suggestions. He also consulted with a longtime employee, Daniel, who recommended I purchase a rubbing compound. Truthfully he didn't have much faith in it, saying my car paint was probably too far gone. But he said we won't know until we try. I went outside to try the compound on the large skids. I put some elbow grease to it and started seeing results quickly! Once finished I had both George and Daniel come out to look at it. George was ecstatic, and Daniel was in shock to see the difference. These guys were more than helpful. In fact, George noticed my front headlights had a lot of oxidation and rubbed them clear with the compound. They took a HUGE weight off my shoulders and pretty much made my entire day! I thanked them so very much for the way they assisted me so attentively; they didn't just tell me what to do and leave me fending for myself. I love how involved they were. This is the best I've been treated by any AutoZone and definitely one of the better customer service experiences I've had! 5 stars! read more

So, I seldom complain and I get that people are doing their best when they are short staffed, but that is not the case. I went to Autozone twice today, once to get jumper cables and once in an attempt to get my electrical system checked. NO ONE following mask mandate. First time I waited in line 20 minutes while 3 staff with one register opened and they did not try to step up and go quick. 2nd time 2 guys outside shooting the breeze while still one register opened. When the register guy was done with the person in front of me, he stated pulling parts off a shelf. I waited for 7 or 8 minutes and left. There was am older gentleman behind me in line and he came out of the store 10 minutes street me, which meant he was in line for 20 minutes. 1 person on the register while there are 3 staff people in the store. They do answer Phineas and shoot tyke breeze with thy customers on the phone while the people in line wait. Wordy customer service EVER and I know that part sites are not known for customer service. As soon as my husband and I walked into Autozone and started waiting in line, a worker behind the counter shouted "I'm done. I'm out! I'm not helping anymore customers! I'm outta here!" Well, I was already thinking in my head this place would get a poor review because not only is this guy extremely unprofessional, but for there to be a line of people and he just decided he was done for the day, really irked me. When it was our turn, the parts manager actually helped us. We needed a new car battery, and at first I was turned off by his sarcastic sense of humor, but in the end, he's the true reason this place isn't getting a 1 star rating. I want to say his name was Joshua, and he was very helpful, very knowledgeable, and extremely professional. He made he sure we were taken care of, and was kind and courteous enough to give us a discount due to the "rude employee incident." I was more than impressed with this because I didn't expect a discount, a simple apology would've been fine. He truly went above and beyond his call of duty to show us he was sincerely embarrassed and apologetic to his employee's behavior. Bravo, and we will be back for all our car needs! read more

Came by here one day to get car wash stuff and waited a bit to get checked out. Most autozones I go to are like this so I wasn't expecting anything superfast. Today I went by to pick up a car windshield repair kit. Just like before there was a bit of a wait before a cashier asked if they could help me. Each time I went in there were no more than a few people in the store. 2 Customers at the counter asking questions about parts with 2 sales people and a couple others walking around the store. I find the service at O'Reillys Auto Parts way better and the only reason I came here was just for time purposes since it is close to my work. read more

Called few minutes ago, 1.16.2018 @ 11:11am, some dude puts me on hold (and it's not the regular people that work there, i could tell by his voice its the new guy covered in badges... the NEW SH*1 in store) Puts me on hold, after about 4 minutes answers. Goes down the list of 4 items out of 12 that i needed for my shop and then tells me to get back on hold because another customer walked up. i got a few words for you, you f'n low life!!! I CALLED FIRST! TAKE YOUR GRAY SHIRT OFF YOU WORTHLESS F**K AND GO WORK CLEANING UP STREETS!! I purchased an AutoZone battery approx. one year ago. So, with battery and warranty, in tow, I talked with AutoZone clerk behind counter and explained my dilemma . Battery dead and NOT taking a charge. The clerk behind the counter, advised me, since it's an AutoZone battery, they have to try and charge it, according to store policy. Of course I agree and leave battery with them. I was told to come back in two hours and battery should be fully charged. If battery, does not take a charge, then I would be given a new battery, with a prorated charge. I drop battery off approx. 6 pm and was told to come back to store approx. 8 pm. At 8pm I arrived back to the store, only to find out battery was just sitting on counter and not even being charged. A different clerk, told me to go ahead and leave battery with them over night and I can pick up in morning. I did just that. The next day I picked up battery and to my amazement, it was fully charged. I asked why my charger did not provide a charge to this battery. I was told some chargers only last approx. 3 years. Well I learned something new today. read more

This is not about service received because it wasn't. My husband swung by this location around 3:45 pm on May 11th 2018 to drop off an old car battery. The older gentleman working the counter informed my husband that he had to purchase a new battery in order to drop off an old one. This is odd since their Website states: drop off and receive a $10 gift card. To make sure my husband understood correctly I called AutoZone. The friendly young man who answered the phone let me know: "Of course we take old batteries" I can't decide whether this was laziness, incompetence or maybe he was under the assumption that my husband wanted a handout. Brought oil there and had to wait for them to pour oil and and return container and waste back to me since would not dispose of. Couple times folks came in to ask for battery check or jump while I was there and were denied. They may have been down on their luck but does not excuse such poor treatment. So, I needed new wiper blades for my S500. Of course, the blades are ridiculously expensive to by at the Mercedes dealership, so we opted to buy them from AutoZone. We get to the store and we are assisted by a younger guy with a strange haircut...think Justin Beeber meets a pair of dull sewing scissors. Anyhow, he finds the blades and we follow him up front...where he drops the wipers on the counter and takes off to help someone else. So, we are standing there, like a deer in headlights not knowing what to do. So, we ask him if he is going to ring us up, or if someone else does the cashier. He points to his register and mumbles something as the manager starts typing on it. The manager doesn't even look at us or acknowledge us at all. My fiance' asks the man that originally assisted us a question as the phone rings and he just answers it and starts helping them instead. At this point, I am ready to just leave and go down the road to Napa where they have always been great to us. So, here we are, standing there with a proverbial thumb up our asses when my fiance' starts to get irritated and says, "Is there something I should be doing differently to pay for what I have." That is when the guy holds the phone from his mouth and says "hold on!" all loud and extremely rude. Yea, thats pretty much when Ms. Allison B...Yelp Elite for Three years, lost her shit. I start pulling my fiance' out the door and he is asking the Manager why his employes are allowed to talk to us like that. The manager says nothing, grabs my wiper blades, scans them and gives us a $9 discount. When we ask the same question again, he says "I gave you a $9 discount and I dont disciple employees in public." Oh really? But, its okay for him to talk to us? I've been shopping at AutoZone for YEARS, from Los Angeles all the way up here to Sacramento. Everyone has always been super courteous and helpful in helping me find what I want or need. I called last Friday and spoke with a very nice gentleman. I asked if they sold car club locks and what he recommends. He suggested the steering wheel lock and ran for about $25. I didn't have any luck with anyone from O'Reilly in the Rancho location so I went ahead and came to this location. There was a line (about 2 people in front of me) so I explored the store. After doing about 3 rounds of the store I had no luck finding the club lock. I waited in line, but there were only 2 people working behind the desk and the customers they were with had a lot of questions. After waiting for about 10 minutes (and 2 customers still ahead of me), I decided to not stay and purchase the item I needed. I gave 3 stars because my phone conversation with the associate was very helpful and didn't feel obligated to answer my questions. I wish I could give more stars, but will only do so once I have to visit this location again (and depending on the service). read more

Beware!! We were on our way up the mountains and since there were chains required due to a winter storm we stopped in here to get chains for our car. Autozone doesn't keep their chains on the sales floor... you have to go to the counter and give them your tire size... the clerk then goes and gets the chains from the back. So we complied, gave them our tire size, he brought out the chains and we purchased them. We were on our way... After an hour's drive through the icy snow, we FINALLY approach the chain-on area. We exit the car in the freezing weather and attempt to install the chains. After about 20 minutes it is clearly evident that these chains will not fit. We whip out the enclosure and to our horror, the at Rancho Cordova Autozone gave us the wrong chains! Furious, I call the number on the receipt and explain. They give us the option of heading back down the hill to nearest store for an exchange. Fine... so 45 minutes later we exchange for the right size. Really screwed up our trip... make sure you check any part they give you, they cannot be trusted to be accurate. My review is for the Rancho store only..... the folks at the Placerville store were so helpful and apologetic... the look on their faces when we explained was priceless. Also, after a written complaint to HQ, I received a call the next day with a sincere apology which I appreciated. Be careful when shopping at this store... read more

Yep so I needed a new gas cap and I came in here to get it. They had the part and it was the price they quoted over the phone, so that all worked out great. I do, however, have two complaints. There were several people in line ahead of me, which usually doesn't bother me, but this leads to my second complaint: it smelled straight up like sewer in there. I mean, like, at first I thought, "Ok, maybe someone broke wind." NOPE. I don't know if their toilet overran that day after everyone on staff ate at Addy's for lunch or WHAT, but it was rank. Really I usually wax my nostrils but that shit straight burned the hair out for me this month. Just be prepared-maybe wear one of those doctor masks. Nice customer service! read more

I bought a replacement headlight for my 2007 Prius here. I get the car home, take it apart (it's a big deal) and find out they gave me the wrong bulb. I called and was put on hold for 10 minutes so I had to call back. The guy told me it was the right bulb. I disagreed. He then said "oh wait a minute, you might have the $150 bulb and that is a special order. I will take days to come in" .So now my car is in pieces and I have to go to work in a bit. No apology. Now I have to go to NAPA who carries the bulb and get a refund on the wrong bulb. Unacceptable Autozone. You just lost my business read more

Came in because I needed a battery tested. I had to get a jumpstarted twice today. I was helped by Bryan and he confirmed my battery was dead. He noticed it was a Duralast and asked if I bought it from there. I told him no, but got it at another AutoZone. He pulled me up on his computer and told me it was still under warranty. He grabbed a new battery and some tools and replaced my battery in the parking lot absolutely free off charge, including installation. I was in and out in 15 minutes. He also tested my alternator for me. AWESOME! read more

Here we are the other night driving around with the little guy in the back seat as usual and I notice we have a head light out. Not being one to put things off especially when safety is involved I quickly looked up the closest Autozone and headed in that direction. Now I'm a pretty auto mechanically inclined guy but this is a Prius and it's dark and I don't have my tools. I pop the hood and start trying to figure out how the hell to get to this bulb and it's no joke. I have the light on my phone and I am trying to hold it in position to see and reach into what little space I can get my hand into to get a hold of the bulb and am having no luck. After instructing my wife to lock the doors I proceed into the store in a not so good area of town hoping I will find someone who cares or knows enough to even maybe tell me how to get the bulb out so I can buy and install a replacement. I was in luck. I meet Josh. I barely got the words "Could you please help me...." out of my mouth and he was out the door in front of me with a kind smile ready to help me in any way. Without me asking he dove right in and explained every step to get the bulb out. I would have gladly taken over but he wasn't having it. It was a bit of a struggle in the dark with minimal hand room but he got it. He quickly headed in and held the door for me and we got right in and figured out which was the proper replacement bulb. I payed and he headed out to install the bulb for me. I was speechless. He could tell I wasn't used to or expecting such help and was humorous and assured me it was no big deal for him to assist me. He finished and shook my hand and walked back in. Might I add he was very well groomed and had a very neat appearance. Shirt tucked in and looked very clean. A great image for the company. Now as for the previous statement I may have taken a bit more time or not written the review at all but two days later I had to go back into the same store for something else. As I walked in he greeted me with "How's that bulb doing." I replied with a pleased look. "Great." He had a few customers and I watched patiently as he addressed them all and put them at ease and quickly moved several people happily into the proper line for what they need and then rang me up and said a few kind words and away I went. Joshua is a great guy and a breath of fresh air in what I find to be a society of people who really don't care about anything anymore besides collecting a paycheck. Josh is one of a dying breed who truly cares about other people and seems to enjoying helping other. I spoke with Allison about a car battery issue over the phone and she invited me to stop by the shop. Once I got there a few hours later she had already gotten a testing unit ready and came out to my car. After diagnosing the problem she looked up and found warranty information that I didn't even know I had. She replaced the battery and informed me of all the new warranty information. She even updated my information on their system so I'd be set if anything came up. Overall I couldn't have come in more distraught and left more relaxed. This is about as good as it gets for a non-mechanic at an auto parts shop. Whatever they're paying Allison isn't enough. read more

Pulled in yesterday with my car smoking. Gabi noticed me and met me outside in the parking lot. She was so friendly and genuinely caring. She ran the code for my check engine light and explained what the problem might be. She was very knowledgeable and explained in verbiage I could understand. She even got me in contact with a shop that could repair my car. She definitely went the extra mile to help me out. She contacted the shop and let them know i was on my way in.
