Needed an oil change and Groupon had an offer for this company! I tried it out. I scheduled an appointment online and was checked in right away. I thought the oil change took longer than usual oil changes (1 1/2 hours). I noticed the guy who came after me got the same service but got done before me. I guess there was an issue with the bolts on my tires, but was not notified they were working on it until the technician notified the man at the front desk. I was wondering what was causing the delay; in this case I wish they had updated me on my tires. The Groupon included a free inspection, but I was not given any verbal results of the findings, just a piece of paper. On the other hand, the other customers received feedback on what they found on the car. I must say the manager is very kind and helpful. Such a fantastic experience. I stopped at MVT as a loss of tire pressure light came on in my vehicle. Frank check all four tires for proper PSI and filled to appropriate limit. He then showed my how to check the bands on my tire to indicate when it is time to replace. The problem tire needed to be replaced (mileage of 41K). Frank explained different options and pricing and helped identify the best fit for my needs. I scheduled replacement for 2 tires, which was quick. Extremely Disappointed - Brake Repair Caused Trip to Be Ruined and Put Us in Danger I normally don't leave negative reviews, but I feel compelled to share this experience for the safety of other customers. A recent front brake repair done at this shop ruined our road trip to Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks -- and more importantly, it could have put our lives at serious risk. Here's what happened: While driving toward Sequoia National Park, just outside Bakersfield on Highway 65, we were stopped at a red light when I heard a loud bang from the front right tire area. I thought we had hit something. I got out and checked -- nothing under the car. But when the light turned green and I tried to drive, the car wouldn't move at all. Cars started honking behind us. I turned on the hazard lights, got out again, and directed traffic to go around. Thankfully, this happened on a side road, not the freeway -- I don't even want to imagine what could've happened at high speed. I called AAA and waited over 30 minutes for a tow. The nearest auto shop was able to look at our car after a 3-hour wait. Their diagnosis: the front right brake caliper bolt was missing, which caused the caliper to stay locked in braking position. That's why the car wouldn't move. The shop replaced the missing bolt and told us the car was safe to drive. But by then, we were so shaken and nervous we decided to cancel our entire trip and drive home. When I called the original shop to report what happened, I spoke with the manager who admitted it was a human error. While I appreciate the honesty, this kind of mistake is completely unacceptable -- it left us stranded, cost us hundreds in lodging and food, and could have caused a serious accident. Please double-check all work before returning a vehicle to customers. This was not a minor inconvenience -- it was a major safety issue. read more

I went to Mt View for an oil pan oil leak. I went in at 9:30 , one car on the rack. I told them upfront I will just have the oil leak fixed and oil change. 2 hrs later they call me and start listing all the things I should have done. As I said NO, I did when I came in. Then he said I really need brakes, in the back of my mind , I knew I didn't. But he suckered me into it. So I said alright, do the brakes . Hung up and 30 seconds at the most called back to say no. No answer, no answer. No answer. Then he calls me and I say look, I don't want the brakes right now. And he said, oh you car is all apart now, made me believe , he had to do it. I was totally taken advantage off! Then on top of that, I went back at 5 hrs and my cat was still on the rack . It felt like it was totally con job. And now , trying to make a verbal complaint was impossible since you're in New York. I am truly disappointed in your service. read more

They used to be honest here. If you don't understand much about cars in general, please go somewhere else. They will push you to do all unnecessary works so they can make money. My brother in law came in to check on his low pressure tire. His tires are only about 6 months old, and only drove about 2k miles or less. Somehow they convinced him he needs to replace all the tires. He is a little bit low IQ, and you will know if you have a conversation with him. I understand if they told him to replace that one particular tire. But all? Those tires are 6 months old! Then they charged his credit card. Went in for a simple flat repair and received great service. Looking at some other yelp reviews, I wonder if some of those folks' problems are due t lack of maintainance in general. I used to run my own shop in the Bay Area and there are car owners out there who want a very specific repair but when their car is inspected , it needs some other equally important 'fix'. Scheduled a specific appointment, arrived on time with my Groupon for an oil change, and was told it would be about an hour to an hour 1/2. I thought that excessive for an oil change only, on an appointmet, first thing in the morning. When I was told they would do an inspection for other needed services, the pleasant manager became dour when I told him I only had time for the oil change. Approximatly 2 1/2 hours later, a service man came to tell me the oil change was finished but that I was in serious need of rear brake work. I told him I didn't have time, he went back into the shop and it was another 20 minutes before they drove my car out. When I got home, I read the Oil Change sticker and it noted I should get my next oil change in 4,000 miles which is way too soon for full-synthetic oil. Ok, scorching heat on Sunday afternoon, and I got a flat tire. Of all the days, I got it on Sunday when most of the shops were closed. Well, I was in Glendale and luckily came across Mountain View Tire shop that was open on Sunday and they took care of my tire that had a nail in it. Guys, who work there are very nice, courteous and professional. It took them less than 10 minutes to fix my tire, and check all the air pressure on all of the rest of the tires. WARNING!!! Stay away from this place!!!! they're frauds. I bought a set of tires which came with a package deal where I could balance and rotate the tires at their location for the life of the tires. I went in a few times to have the tires balanced and rotated, this last time I went and this waist of lyfe supposed "manager" Razmik Agababian comes up to me and is like: "Why do you always come here to rotate and balance your tires but you don't buy anything else." I was like are you serious I got a package deal, and he's like "you're stealing from us by doing this" I'm like, how the heck am I stealing if I bought a package deal which included these services. He started getting rude and talking all sorts of nonsense, Long story short, he's like "Well this time I'm gonna rotate the tires but I'm not gonna balance them" and he didn't balance my tires which was part of my package deal. This was one of the most frustrating encounters I've had at a store, especially that this D Ranged out of control more run was actually a manager is totally insane. I'm most likely gonna file a lawsuit against them for false advertisement and breaking their contract. I'm also gonna get in contact with corporate and tell them about this loona tick that works for them. I woke up early and drive from La Crescenta cause I needed it done before Monday. When I got there. An older gentleman told me it will take at least 3 hours and he that they can't honor the price I received. He then tells me it's not worth it for them. I informed him I got a price quote the day before and I gave Greg all the specifics. The gentleman gave me attitude and made it clear he didn't want my business. I left without getting the work done. "There's nothing I can do," the guy tells me. When I ask about the 75,000 mile warranty on the tires, I'm told I will have to contact the manufacturer myself. When I ask if he can, at the very least, give me a phone # to call, he can't provide one. Really?!
