I've been in this AutoZone three times now, and the employees always seem cheerful, attentive, and helpful. What a contrast with O'Reilly's down the street on Santa Fe, where the employees seem grumpy and like they couldn't care less. I walked into this AutoZone yesterday and the employee behind the counter immediately greeted me with a smile and "What's up Boss? How can I help you?" Today I walked in this location to buy a cold drink seeing what little of a selection they had I grabbed something I didn't really want and changed my mind put it back and went across the way to get something else...as I was getting into my vehicle I see the manager of auto walking towards me and when he approached me he started accusing me of stealing that drink from his store and that I was not allowed in his store anymore, but when I asked him if he checked his video cameras he said "well so and so saw you take it" which is a lie. Mind you I've been stuck in the parking lot all night long because my car is dead and they refuse to help me out and apparently nobody understands English around here. So here's a message to the idiot that came out barking his bullshit at me, go check your fucking cameras before you come out to make you and your staff look like straight dumbasses. You guys are unprofessional and don't deserve to work in that establishment because Clearly you weren't trained accordingly. Maybe walmart or goodwill would be more suitable. read more

I come here often for car and motorcycle things. They generally have what I need in stock, and a good selection as well. Eric is the reason I gave this place 5 stars, which I don't generally do. He's knowledgeable, helpful, and an awesome dude. He is willing to engage and help when needed, and truly goes above and beyond to do so. My windshield wipers were torn and Louise was very helpful in getting the right size for my vehicle. He also installed my windshield at no cost and looked over my engine to make sure everything was ok. He noticed there were remnants of rat poop and suggested getting the engine cleaned or steamed. I had such a positive experience at Auto Zone when I went in to get help for my turn signal, which wasn't working. Victor went above and beyond for me. He is car savvy (which is helpful when you work in an auto shop) and said it could be one of two things. He checked under my hood and determined that wasn't the problem. Then, he said it was most likely the bulb, looked up the part in my manual and asked if he could help by installing it. It's no small feat! It's hidden behind the panel in the trunk and as a 70 year old female, who knows little about cars (and at this point, isn't interested in learning), I would have been lost without him. He then said it's likely that the other one will go out soon, and did I want him to replace it, too? (The bulbs come in a 2 pack, so he wasn't upselling me.) Awesome service. This store is a CONTINUOUS letdown!! I pulled up and there was an employee coming out of the store; I asked if they were closed, he said no. I grabbed my part and proceeded to enter the store and another employee told me they were closed due to "short staffing" and "COVID"!! There was not a single customer in the store, and there was two employees, eating food!! I guess this is what retail and minimum wage is creating; employees that have no respect for the posted hours or rules. O'Reilly will now be my go-to....and they are ACTUALLY courteous!! After the horrible experiences my husband & family endure at another location (which is block from my home), we drive miles away instead to this location to get the proper service we expect. Customer service sucks! I went to pick up a funnel and there was nobody in line but the guy was helping a Customer. I waited no problem but when he was done with the Customer he started to walk towards me when the phone rang. He answers the phone and it sounds like it someone he knows and instead of asking him to wait he gets on the computer to help him. One of the employees, Robert I believe his name was, was very disrespectful and discriminating. After finalizing a purchase he made an inappropriate comment towards a group of people. After confronting the situation he quickly tried to cover it up in front of his manger claiming that's not what he said nor meant. Sir??? Then what did you mean exactly when you said "take a long drive and run over the protesters." I don't know what that means to you but that almost sounds like a threat. autozone 573 w vista way vista was one of the best around because of the excellent customer service .The number one employee who myself and many other customer shopped ther because of Paula. she is the best . this was my store for the past two years and I just found out she was fired for a positive drug screening four days after she was seriously injured at work. You guys didn't do your job and follow company policies but she did yet you fire her? I've been parts here since the opened. I bought a set of wipers that fit but did not fit as well a factory(mercedes) and I had to replace with factory wiper blades. So I went to return the wipers 2 days later but they said since I don't have receipt I can't. The person that works there knows i bought them, she helped me choose the corrects ones. I also had shown the credit card charge for 73.00 on my bank statement. But they're still breaking my balls about the receipt. Nice way to treat customers! I went to Autozone the other day and a gentleman named Justin Y. helped me. I just have to say, his customer service was so great that words can't give it justice!!! I went in to get a running headlight, a plastic clip, a dome LED light and refrigerant as my AC had completely gone out. Not only did he help me decide what parts I needed, gave his honest opinion and then actually installed the dome light (as I couldn't get the cover off), put I the frigerant (now my AC works), put the clip in my car so the rubber seal wasn't sticking out of the hood of my car and he replaced both headlights!!!! There seem to be Autozone's everywhere, but I was happy to see this one pop up in Vista as its about 2 miles from my house. In my mind Autozone is really the go to place for auto parts. I can't compare them to Pep Boys or Napa because I haven't been to those stores but I think Autozone has a great selection and competitive prices. Some of the stores also have battery, alternator testers they will check out your charging system for free. They also may install some of the parts for you or loan you some tools if you want to do a quick change in the parking lot. Just ask and see if they will help you out. Certain parts you can find cheaper online, but I like the face to face interaction and the different price point selection from Autozone. Certain things like synthetic motor oil I would buy at Wal-Mart, but if you want a great selection of car parts then Autozone is your first stop! read more

I called ahead with my tire sizes to purchase cable tire chains. They said they had the right ones. Paid $120 for set of 4. Tried to put them on, but they would not fit. Label on box didn't even list my correct rim size. I lost the receipt. Tried to take them back, but Manager would not refund and kept insisting they should fit based on the computer match. They didn't have any other size to fit, so I'm out $120. Listed them on Craigslist to try to replenish some of the money. Went to O'Reilly Auto parts and got a set that DOES fit!!! AND, much cheaper!
