I hate having to come to AutoZone but I have never had a bad experience. If I am at AutoZone, my car is tripping and that is not good news. I have come by a couple of times to do the free diagnosis, especially before I take the car to the mechanic and I have found that to give me more leverage when mechanics or the dealership tries to upsell or suggest anything. I like that AutoZone associates just print the report and let you make up your own mind. The last visit was to get a new battery. I registered online with my email address to get a coupon, looked online at the batteries, came to the store, grabbed one off the shelf and paid for it. Since they recycled my old one, that knocked the price down a lil and the whole process was hands off because one of the associates changed the battery, without me having to pay extra. That was two weeks ago and my car is still running. The lines in the store can be long at times, but that's to be expected with folks working two jobs or better and trying to make it to the store when they can. As long as my car is running, I am happy. read more

The staff at this store are either ridiculously rude or trying to flirt... neither of which I'm ever in the mood for. On top of that, they're not helpful, are hardly ever able to answer questions, and the lines are often quite long. They're severely understaffed and the staff they do have significantly lacking in professionalism. The only reason I come here is because the location is convenient. read more

We needed a new battery, and fast - and the store and Kevin saved the day. I had only a small window to get the battery replaced b/c of a kid drop off, and I made it back with plenty of time to spare. Kevin walked me through the battery options and made sure we had a good replacement. Then he installed the battery, no problem. I think the whole process took less than 30 minutes, tho it was probably around that. Very satisfied. read more

Parking lot was not too clean. There was a lot of trash around in the parking lot but this store did have exactly what we needed. We had tried a couple of other places that did not have it, so I guess we could deal with the couple of minutes of be parked in debris. read more

Customer service at this location is poor compared to suburban locations. I visited during the COVID crisis and the store advertises "curbside pickup" on the website and even on signage visible outside of the store. I ordered a product and followed the instructions to call the store when I arrived. The problem is five phone calls later of ringing to the prerecorded message, there was no answer. I purchased from AutoZone vs. Advance Auto Parts because of this curbside/contactless feature but it was an epic fail. When I went into the store to retrieve my item, there were three employees in the checkout area and only one customer. Had the store been experiencing high customer volumes, I would have been sympathetic and not posted this review but there was really no excuse. read more

Ok, so I wasn't expecting much when I went in there. I typically buy all my car stuff on Amazon or the like but I needed a specific battery for my van and I needed it "today" so I drove to the nearest autozone which was this one. They were busy, but there were a number of store employees helping people. I was over in the battery section looking at the shelf and I couldn't find the battery when "Idrissa" (I'm probably murdering his name) came over. I told him the specific battery, he knew exactly what I was looking for and where it was in the back. When he came out with it he talked me through why this was a great battery but that they had another battery with superior cold cranking amperage, reserve capacity and warranty, for $10 bucks less. He was even mentoring what looked like a new employee and never missed a beat, I was impressed. read more

Went in to get my engine light checked. Waited in line for about 3-4mins until someone acknowledged me. No one in line, employees walking back and forth thru the stores and in the back. Finally someone called me up and I told him what I needed he said he would be right out (2mins) later. Walked back in to wait for the print out another good 5mins. Didn't keep track as I was entertained on how the so called security was leaning on the counter on her cell phone the whole time I was there didn't look up at all to acknowledge who was coming in or out! I was so tempted to take a pic, I'm pretty sure this would have got me faster service lol read more

Extremely disappointed with the service. I had a headlight out on my Honda Civic, so I called Autozone to ask if they would have time to replace it for me. The guy I spoke with said "no problem at all! Just come over any time and we can take care of that for you." I thought "great!" And told him I would be there in 20 minutes. When I arrived, there was only one customer in the store who had already paid and was leaving as I got there. The first employee I spoke with helped me locate the type of bulb I needed, and told me to speak with the other cashier who would install the bulb for me. When I walked out to my car with the second employee, he condescendingly told me that he couldn't replace it for me because it "would take him all night" and his coworker was inside alone. First off, it's not as though my car is fancy or rare - it's a Honda Civic - so I can't imagine why it would take him all night. Secondly, the whole reason I called in advance was to make sure they had time enough to replace it for me. If they didn't have time, they should have just said so and I would have saved myself the 20 minute drive across town (or gone elsewhere). Lastly, the excuse that his coworker was inside alone was just that - an excuse. There was literally no one else inside the store other than his coworker and a security guard playing candy crush on his iPad. I will not return to this Autozone in the future. I ended up leaving with a lightbulb (that I could've purchased cheaper online) and without a functioning headlight in my car. 2 thumbs down. What a waste of time. read more

Useless and slow clerks. I waited 20 minutes to get a fan belt and the clerk couldn't find one based on length and width or the manufacturer part number. I kept telling him how wide and long it needed to be and that it was not the stock length, but he kept trying to look it up in his computer and refused to check the shelves when I asked him to. This was the second time I came, after the first clerk didn't know what a v-belts was. I would say don't waste your time coming here, but unfortunately there don't seem to be any alternatives on this side of DC. Just beware that you need to block out at least half an hour. Inner city auto parts store, so it is always busy. I have been pleased with what I have gotten there, the prices are very good on auto parts, the shelf items seem as pricy as anywhere else. This is just down the street from a new Walmart, which I have not been into, but I was wondering if that took business away, but this store still seems as busy as ever. So the counter staff must be good. The guys I have worked with all seem to be very competent and helpful. Large parking lot, and it is always pretty full, but I have never had any parking issues. read more

Do not go here unless you are willing to spend lots of time in line. My third visit, just as frustrating as my first and second. One line is for ordering and exchange, the other is for paying. Unfortunately, the one person in the ordering line was on the phone apparently taking a large order. There were 8 people in line, no one was moving at all. Finally 2 people left in frustration, and another employee came to help staff the line. She said customers are always complaining about the lack of efficient organization. So, i ask, why not reorganize in a way more favorable to customers? In the meantime, i will go elsewhere. They don't deserve the business. read more

Horrible Service. Came here to test a alternator took the Hispanic women about 30 minutes to just connect it. Not to mention when we came in initially the women with the braid asked the young man named tevon to test the alternator. I was extremely happy with my experience especially because I was in trouble and got there just before the rush of everyone else having battery problems--must have been something in the atmosphere! My AutoZone-bought battery kept dying. It was on warranty; I figured it needed to be replaced, so I took it to this store (the closest to my house). They "tested" it and told me it was OK, just drained, at that there was a problem with my car. They tried to get me to buy an alternator. Eventually, the recharged battery drained again. Figuring the AutoZone staff wouldn't lie to me, I took my car to an auto electric place (Arman's in Chevy Chase -- I recommend). The guy there did a starting system check and told me my battery was completely shot and needed to be replaced -- and that my starting system was just fine. He replaced the battery for me and my car has started up fine since then. What should have cost me about $60 at AutoZone cost me over $200, all told. This means that one of two things is true: either the AutoZone staff deliberately lied that my battery was good so that they could get out of replacing a warrantied battery, or the AutoZone staff are such idiots that I wouldn't trust them to replace my warrantied battery. Either way, AutoZone has lost a customer for good. read more
