Spent 10+ minutes ordering upper/lower ball joints for my truck. Exactly same part on left/right side, so needing 2 & 2. Phone guy says they'll be in at 6 & a call will be given. No call ever received, went in at 8 & 2 upper/1 lower ordered. Counter person says, "sorry, guess they can't count.‍" Ordered/paid for the lower & was told it would be in next day at 10AM with a phone call. NO CALL EVER RECEIVED. Went in today at 12PM & part never arrived/somewhere in transit. No idea where or when it will arrive, but they sure will give a phone call. Called CS to complain & was told a general complaint will be sent to the regional manager but no further help is available. Dropped a few expletives & was told to respect the phone rep. Respect the customer, who spent their time/effort/money with a business unable to fulfill the simplest orders, & no frustration or irritation is supposed to occur on the customer side. Customer is not always right, but NO ONE should spend more effort for better customer service than the company purchasing from providing it & AutoZone clearly doesn't. Don't waste your time or money; you're better off going to the zoo for parts/assistance. read more

Auto Zone Alternators are JUNK! I purchased a NEW, not refurbished alternator for my Acura from Autozone back in April of 2022. Six months later on October 21, 2022, it started acting up. The alternator I replaced back in April appeared to be the same brand. It failed just after year after I bought this car which was only driven less than 4k miles. Duralast alternators are garbage! Auto Zone's return policy is basically non-existent. They will trade you for replacement piece of junk, but then you'll be stuck in an endless cycle of paying for labor to replace this part every 6 months to a year. It's a money pit and a trap. Years ago, I replaced my alternator using the same brand for my Toyota. Afterwards, I would receive a high pitch feedback through my car speakers. It was very annoying. I should have learned my lesson then. I do not recommend any alternator from Auto Zone, O'Reilly's, etc. Save yourself the headaches and time wasted by staying away from these places! Have your stock alternator rebuilt or buy genuine parts. Believe me and you will thank me for it. read more

I found the store to be well stocked and organized. The staff unfortunately was hit-and-miss. I had an older gentlemen ring me out who was terse and obviously in a bad mood (I wish I had gotten his name) and shouldn't be in contact with customers at all. He would answer questions but barely. As to the only other review on here, it is in autozone policy to help customers check and fill their fluid levels as well as change bulbs and wipers free of cost. I have never had such bad experience with autozone seriously. Didn't greet me as I walked in All the employees including a manager were on their phones in the front I had to ask to be rang up After I asked they didn't say anything, scanned my item and just looked at me...uhm great customer service! I could not have asked for a better experience this evening when I stopped in. One of my headlights burnt out yesterday evening and when I came in today, Aaron went above and beyond to help me out. Not only did he help me find the correct headlight I needed, he took the time and explained all my options, and then came out and replaced the light for me. I also needed new windshield wipers and he was kind enough to replace them right there for me at the same time! I would absolutely recommend them to anyone and will make sure to go back there for any future needs!! read more

Caden went above and beyond last night to help me. I got off work and my co worker told me my headlight was out. I made it there 20 minutes before closing and Caden was nothing short of amazing. He greeted me with a smile, helped get me the correct lightbulb and walked me through all the steps on how to change the lightbulb. He was extremely friendly, and helpful. The Covington, WA store manager is a nitwit or price gouger, or both. Claims he can't do a price match to the AUTOZONE on-line price, and over charges because of "store overhead". Totally ridiculous, false, and against policy ...this guy needs to go back for training. Fortunately, the Maple Valley store was very helpful and actually offered to, and did, correct the Covington store over-charge by price-matching what was on-line. I fully recommend going to the Maple Valley store if you want to be treated decently by knowledgeable employees that actually understand store policy. If you see something on-line print it and take it with you, this store will price-match any other auto parts store for the SAME part. read more

The worst experience I have had. The sold me an uncharged battery it took all day. Chris was making fun of Cliff's balding. I just needed a battery they couldn't match it. Then when I got a refund they paid me back in all singles. Non knowledgeable jokers. I felt like I was in the Twilight Zone...not Autozone. Chris Johnson I believe is the man in charge at this location. and he displayed the worst customer service I have ever experienced in an auto store. while a new employee was struggling to help me, Chris was asked for help but did not show any concern or interest in helping the trainee or me (the customer) in this situation. he proceeded to walk outside and leave the location and wasn't seen at all after that. I proceeded to purchase the wrong part while assured by the new employee that it was correct. I wasted my time and money during this repair. also during the struggles of the new kid at the store no one seemed to assist him in his struggles but felt it was the appropriate time to talk about the Bernstein ears and how they were part of a conspiracy theory. I don't blame freckle boy behind the counter or the others. I've purchased several items from this particular auto store for years as I live near by and most people that work there are cool unfortunately Dale Coppess is very rude I could use other words I returned tail lights for my truck the very next day with the receipt in hand as they were not the correct brand for the truck..well this Guy tell me that they can't except the light bulb because the top portion of the package was cut off where I had to open the item mine you the light bulbs were completely in the package except for the top portion of the package I'm like how else do you open a close package besides cutting it open Dale need to retire he is ridiculous. My truck died at the Jiffy Lube in Covington. The workers there found that my alternator was bad and called Brandon at Auto Zone. He drove over and delivered a new alternator that the guys at Jiffy Lube were kind enough to install for free. I had already paid Brandon cash for the alternator when he noticed that the one that went bad had been purchased from his store. He gave me my cash back and gave me the alternator for free! My brother was changing the oil in my truck yesterday. There's an O'Reillys and Autozone nearby. He went to Autozone. They put the info in the computer and sold him 5 qrts of oil and an oil filter. He gets home and guess what? Wrong oil. Took it back. Came back home and gets back to it. After adding a qrt of oil he ends up discovering they also sold the wrong filter. He calls them to see if they are able to send the right one over since he couldn't take the truck (Napa would have brought the replacement) but no, too bad find a ride and come back for the third time. I called the store and spoke to the manager, Cameron. Again there's nothing they can do (other than waste people's time and be incompetent). My brother goes back. Again. The game has started. They won't add the qrt of oil he added to the wrong filter they sold him. So they can't do this dimple job- Cameron said they must have punched in the wrong info. And then they want to argue with the customer they have wronged. We'll be using O'Reillys from here on out. And recommending the competition to everyone we know. Seahawks won the game. read more
