I am a commercial business account holder and a loyal customer. I had an item to return and asked the a shorter male light skinned employee to do a return using my commercial account. He said he cannot look it up. I have done returns before this way using my commercial account. He basically lied. All he had to do was look up my item on my account and imitated a return that goes back to the same credit card on file. How customer service is very poor, especially to a commercial account holder with a business that purchases parts from Autozone on a daily basis. I even informed him that I have don't returns without my receipt before in which he said he still need a receipt. read more

(10th review for 2019) I've only had 2-3 other automotive stores before in my life that had exceptional if not above & beyond service. This is for manager Justin (sorry, couldn't remember his unique last name). My 2008 Colorado truck didn't want to start when I was trying to leave work to go home. I called my dad to help me troubleshoot & found out it was the battery. We went to Costco Kapolei & waited for about 30mins for someone to help (there was only 1 guy at the Tire Center desk). Come to find out they don't have the battery for my truck. Okie dokie... now what?? The 1 guy at the Costco Tire Center did suggest to call this AutoZone since it just recently opened up. I did & spoke to Justin. He politely helped me trying to figure out what kine engine & the specific battery I'd need. Woohoo! They do have the battery!! It was about $140 w/ 2yr warranty or $160 w/ 5yr warranty. From my understanding, you can go to any AutoZone for the warranty. I got the $160 w/ 5yr warranty battery & took it back to my truck in the Costco parking lot. Dad & I put the new battery in & the positive terminal was badly corroded that it was barely holding onto the battery. I called AutoZone & got Justin again. I told him we need a new cable or terminal for the positive side. He suggested that if we can, bring the truck over & he can see what can be done. Thank goodness I was able to get over there without any incident. Dad said that because the terminal was loose it could spark and the truck could catch fire (if not explode - worst case scenario). Justin came out & looked at the truck positive terminal. He then went to his car & got his Dremel to cut off the old terminal from the positive cable. He got a new terminal & installed it for us. After all was said & done, my truck started up perfectly! I went in & payed for the new $6.00 terminal. Justin went above & beyond any expectations I had. Believe me, I wasn't expecting much since this is a nationwide chain & typically got decent to crappy service from those kine. Not here! I hope that Justin & the other managers train their employees to treat other customers with respect & exceptional customer service. Don't bother asking for help, some people at this could care less about assisting a customer. My wife recently stopped by to grab some windshield wiper fluid - I was at work so She had to come in with our two young kids. She took a quick look around and couldn't find the right area, plus she was dealing with a fussy baby and a wild toddler, so she asked the woman working there for her help - pretty normal thing to do, right? This woman was not wearing a mask, which I could care less about but I'm sure AutoZone wouldn't like, and when my wife asked her to help her find the fluid she said 'If you don't see it then we don't have it' Not "It's normally on this aisle, did you look there?" Not "Oh let me check the back" So I go in to see if I have the same experience later that day - and it's right there on the freaking shelf. Is it that hard to help someone who can't find something? Especially helping a customer who's struggling with a toddler and a baby? I can't say 'I'll never shop here again' because I honestly have no where else to go, but I'm really disappointed by this and think it should be addressed with their staff. read more

Realized my head light was our on the way home, stopped by AutoZone and while in the parking lot a young man inquired if I needed help as he was going into the store. I responded I think I need a new headlight bulb. He had me pop the hood and proceeded to take out the old light out and told me to come inside and he would help. He rang me up and came out and installed my light bulb. I forgot to ask his name so looked on my receipt when I got home and all that is said was CSR #12. I called AutoZone to find out who CSR #12 was and was told his name is LEVI. I am very grateful to Levi for his much needed help all without me asking. I will continue to do business with AutoZone because of Levi. I can not thank Levi enough. read more

Today I decided to go into this store usual I let my husband go in but he was at work and I just went in for washer fluid I noticed that all the employees were moving around and working very hard but i notice A particular employee with red hair on her phone I was standing there and she didn't bother to Even look up from her phone or acknowledge me and then decided to walk outside of the store on her phone so I asked another employee in the back a female with a red shirt her name was montana super kind super sweet was very organized and was willing to help me even when she was busy I'm glad she stopped what she was doing to help me get my bottles of washer fluid thank you montana for helping me and to whoever is her management she needs a raise read more

Chevette is such a fierce doll and a true professional. She made my short experience here so worth it she was so very insightful and has a certain wit and communicative talent that really made me feel comfortable and more importantly seen. I'm so used to people at Auto shops/places treating me a certain way because I'm so obviously gay and having someone treat me like a person and not just some dumb fruitcake really did it for me. Kalen the store manager is awesome! My battery died and I called the store and spoke with a sale associate and he informed me that they had my type of car battery in stock. Both the sale associate and the manager helped me get the battery and I purchased it. I'm not a car person so I asked them about installation of the battery and they were able to explain in detail how to take out my old battery and put in my new one. They even recommended what tools I should get to take out the old one and put in the new one. They didn't make me feel stupid or anything. They both have excellent customer service skills. When getting the new battery they informed me of their warranty and I absolutely love it. I don't need to keep my receipt I'm in their system with my phone number. That's definitely a lifesaver since the last battery I bought was in 2017 and it was from Walmart. Any car needs please see autozone and definitely speak with Kalen the store manager and also the sales associate although I didn't catch his name. These guys are sooo awesome and I can rest easy that my car is up and running. Autozone Kapolei is the place to go. They are super convenient and they don't close until 10pm. Definitely a lifesaver as this all happened at 9pm. read more

I went in to buy a replacement cabin air filter. When I walked in there was two sales associates at the front desk both were on phone calls helping customers. I stood in line and waited patiently. I noticed one sales associate finish one phone call and started a new phone call while I was there waiting in line. By then, 15 minutes had passed by and I was still waiting to be helped while both employees we're on the phone. I decided to look for the cabin air filter myself as soon as I walked away one of the sales associates hung up the phone and help the first customer that walked through the door after me. I did not appreciate the bad customer service, the long wait in line unnecessarily, but most of all feeling ignored and unwelcome. I will not be coming back to this AutoZone the employees need customer service training specifically the larger female with the pixie haircut, she was rude. read more

I got a rubbing compound that left a quarter size gray spot on my vehicle and the Visor Glare Blocker which is a piece off crap. I will never go there again and would not recommend them. Before calling any roadside assistance I strongly recommend you call this Auto Zone. Specifically ask for Jordan. He helped me out so much over the phone I can't thank him enough. He is very knowledgeable about cars and I would definitely trust him in recommending parts or services for my car. If you can't seem to recognize what the problem is with your car or you don't know what parts you might need, Jordan is your guy and this Auto Zone in particularly:) P.S. I went in today to get a battery for my car. I had to jump it to get there and it wouldn't start after I went into the store and bought the battery. Levi, tue parts department manager offered to come out and change it for me. It was a pain because many parts had to come out to get to the battery and it's like 90 degrees fun on hot sun today.
