Bad beginning to end. Good front desk though. Scheduled apt 2 days ago on my only day off. They assigned my appointment for Friday instead. Didn't have my brakes, so had to get someone to pick it up from salt lake. Appointment was 830am. Added in a oil change and safety check. Came by at 2:57pm. No call, car sitting out in front. Said waiting to still do oil. Then service said he already did it. But they didnt call me because they were waiting for the mechanic to write off that he did the oil. 6 hour wait, for a scheduled appointment plus oil change and safety. Got home. My trunk is a mess, and what they didnt put back they threw it in the back car seat. FYI I asked the service rep. No reason to get to my spare tire. Wheel lock was on the dash. So not only did they have no reason to take my shit out. They threw my shit back. You can tell, they didnt put it down. It looks like they just threw everything on top. Best of all the heaviest things, my open house signs were on my supplies, and you guessed it. Papers smashed, container broken, small speaker smashed. read more

I came in with a flat tire late in the day, with only about 30 minutes before closing. Even though the repair took around 45 minutes, Noelani still agreed to help me because she cared about keeping me and my ohana safe. That level of compassion and professionalism is rare. My tire alert came on. I didn't know which tire and it was getting dark. I went to the closest tire place and was lucky to get help from ANDREW! He checked all four tires and one tire had 17 pounds. The rest were a few pounds low. I offered to tip him but he said no need and glad to help. He wish us a nice day and we were on our way. I scheduled an oil change, tire rotation and safety check. After waiting around an hour or a little more, they said my safety check was done. I asked what about my oil change and tire rotation? They said I would have to reschedule because they only have one technician working. I figured I would give them another chance and scheduled for the following Monday at 10:30am. The Rep said no worry I will take care of you! I was there at 10:15am for my 10:30am appointment. The Rep said, will you be waiting or is someone picking you up? I asked how long it will take? He looks at the other person, around 2.5 hours. I told him I'll reschedule another time and walked out. Going back to my Safety check, they drove around the parking lot twice to the left both times and pard in front of the shop until they said it was finished a little over an hour later. read more

Saw that my tire had slashes? Wasn't sure what happened but definitely could not drive it. So walked in and explained the situation. They informed us they should check all tires just in case. Was originally just going to do the one tire but found out the tires were not changed for awhile. Was able to do it in one day. It was before the holiday so I'm glad they were able to service my car. Made an appointment because I couldn't add air into my front driver's side tire. Had a hard time connecting the nozzle to the valve stem and then it read 31psi and my compressor wouldn't add any air when I could see it was low. They said they would check it out only to have them tell me I had a nail in the tire and they couldn't repair it. Tech also recommended replacing both front tires at $300 a tire. I said I would come back later. I went home and checked my tire and found no nail and my two front tires were not completely bald. I wouldn't trust this place. read more

Thank goodness safety checks only need to be updated once a year because it's such a pain finding somewhere to take you right away. I was lucky to find this spot that allowed walk ins that took my fleet insurance. They didn't allow me to make a same day appointment but said the wait wasn't too long. I waited about 35 minutes. Parking is terrible! Terrible. Terrible. I circled the parking lot about & times before snagging a spot. The younger gentleman at the counter was kinda sassy. He made me go to the car to get the mileage to tell him which I thought was an odd request because for the safety inspection it's required for them to look at the car themselves so idk why I had to do it. He was very inexperienced with the billing portion so that took longer than normal I guess. Ehh so so experience. Main thing I got my safety check done I guess. read more

Service itself was okay but older man who was working the desk made judgmental, very unnecessary, and rude comments regarding my daughter. When paying, he thought it was a good idea to say "if that was my son, I would make him pay I do not care" or something on the lines of that. I mean okay, that was not really the big issue even though he should've have that that anyways. The big thing was him literally saying "look at you, nice cup, nice clothes, nice bag - and do not want to pay your own tires?". He had no idea that my daughter was not only a full time college student but already worked over full-time and there was a work issue that prevented her from getting paid at the time. I've been coming here for the past couple years getting my cars services and safety check. Totally forgot safety check here takes more den 2hrs. Today came in around 10:30am for a 111am appointment for safety check. Braddah in da front told me no worries going take 30-45 mins so ate lunch next door at highway inn thinking it'll be done by 11:30. Came out car still haven't move from its parking space. It's 1pm and still they didn't get my car yet for safety check. If I hand know that I was gonna wait for 2hrs or more after having an appointment I would've gone somewhere else then waste 2hrs waiting around for a simple safety check. Wow! This place sucks. Don't go here for anything, tires and especially Saftey Check. I had to get my Saftey check and then go get my car's registration complete and then go back to Goodyear same location to have them put the stickers on my car. The first employee standing in the office said to just come by and they'll take care of it. Second employee said, ah maybe call in before you head over. I said okay and left. When calling back to get my second visit complete with stickers... I was told every time that the inspector went home early or they are under staffed and don't have the availability for me to come in. I literally called ten different times/ days. I then find out I have to do it within 30 days of my initial visit. So here I am on October 4th trying to get it done and their electricity goes out and can't do it for me then either. So here we are, in order for me to come in and have them put my stickers on... I now have to pay the fees again. Needless to say I'm going somewhere else to get my Saftey check done. Guy says, since you got here early, the safety check person is still doing a car, Meanwhile, I do not see any car being safety inspected. But I wait. 12:30 comes around and they haven't done a thing. Same cars in the bay that were there when I got there and not one was having a safety inspection done nor were there anyone working on any cars. So I give them more of the benefit of doubt. 1:00PM comes around and still the same situation and I finally go in and said cancel my safety check. My first time at this Waipahu GoodYear.... usually I go to Kapolei or Waianae but lately I been having bad experiences with customer service there (i.e. long lines, no answer phone, tacky agent with attitude, mistakes and miscommunication, etc). Today's visit happened because I needed to change my two front tires. All the other GoodYears didn't have my tire size in stock. I called over 5 different GoodYears on the Leeward Side and was just glad to find a place that actually had it. I wanted to assure all four tires were the same and matching since I just got the other two tires done less than six months ago. Colleen helped me find and match the right tires, assured me that they could mount and realign my new tires as well as get my safety check renewed. She even helped me find that 'wheel-lug lock' that I forgot about and had rolled somewhere under the seats. This is going to be my new auto shop because Colleen and her team of professionals were quick (less than 1.5 hours), efficient (found me the correct size and model to match my other tires), and convenient (plenty food places nearby to wait it out at). read more

I've been having my car serviced here for years. In fact, this is the only shop that has touched my car after my service warranty ran out from the dealership. First, I used Goodyear for the convenience. I used to live in the area. Later, it turned into the value. They would send me coupons through both e-mail and snail mail. Currently, I live near town but I continue to bring my car to Goodyear in Waipahu because they've come to know my car and because they've done such a good job maintaining my car, I don't see any reason to bring my car anywhere else. Since I started bringing my car to this Goodyear location, I haven't experienced any major issues with my car-knock on wood! The one thing I do not bring my car here for though, is the customer service. Well, lack thereof. Sometimes they don't even answer their phone, which I guess is understandable. They get really busy and all the employees are either working on cars or assisting the customers standing in front of them. When I get there, I'm hardly every greeted when I walk in and it takes a while for someone to acknowledge me, unless of course, one of their veterans is working and remembers me. Overall though, good customer service is almost nonexistent here. They have a couple of chairs in their waiting area and have a vending machine, coffee maker, TV and some candy and gumball machines for the kiddies while you wait. I prefer not to wait for my car as I don't really have the patience to wait and listen to the employees chat with each other, watch a TV channel that I don't care for, and have the power tools going crazy in the shop right next door. That's what normally goes on during the weekends. I recommend bringing your car on a weekday when they are less busy and you don't have to wait half the day just for an oil change. My safety check expired not too long ago so i came by this morning around 8:30am, the inspection took less than 30 minutes and the workers here are super nice. Definitely would come back next year. I have always gone to this location for the longest time and never had any issues until today and I'm very disappointed in the service. First off, I had an appointment at 08:00 for an oil change. They told me they couldn't find my appointment and couldn't even find me in the computer. Asked how long will it take, told about 45 mins. Well, 2 1/2 hours later, I go to check what's taking so long. They tell me when they removed the screw thing a piece that's suppose to be stuck on the pan came off with it and they don't have the part and have to call somewhere else to get another bigger size piece to fix the problem. When I asked how come it took them 2 1/2 hours to let me know about this, they gave me a stupid story about having to wait for the oil to drain before they found out. Yes, I have no knowledge whatsoever about cars but my husband who actually use to work there said they knew way before draining all the oil out to find out it was broken. So I feel like I was lied to also because I know nothing about cars. So long story short, they also said it was wear and tear because car is old. I get that point also, but just so others are aware my husband has been fixing cars for years, old and new cars and never had this problem. According to my husband it is because they screwed it in tightly the last time I went there to change my oil and that's why it broke. I even have a lugnut that is missing from my tire from this same shop because they said something was stripped and they couldn't put it back, that happened awhile back. If they had called me earlier to tell me about the situation it wouldn't be so bad, but for me to have to go in and check what was going on then spending 4 hours of my time waiting for my car is unacceptable. I could've had someone pick me up and pick up my car later. Plus, I was lied to about them not knowing about the problem sooner. read more

I recently switched to the Goodyear at this location because the one in Kapolei had such horrible service. When I come to this Goodyear I am usually greeted by an incredibly friendly staff who are courteous, efficient, and full of aloha. But today, I encountered the same rude receptionist from KAPOLEI. Before my visit I called to ask if it would be possible for them to check why my engine light was on. The person on the phone responded saying that they could either do a diagnostic (for ~$150), or do a free scan to see what code the car was transmitting. When I arrived to the location, I was greeted by the receptionist- the same one from Kapolei. She was short, Asian, and was rocking a nice lavender colored smokey eye. I recognized her because it was the same makeup she had worn during my previous encounter with her. Thinking nothing of it, I proceeded to ask if they could do my safety check, and scan my car as the guy suggested on the phone. She said they could do the safety check, but it would cost ~$150 to do the diagnostic. I explained to her that the man on the phone said they could scan it just to get the error code for free. She then condescendingly asked if I was planning to fix the car myself if I got the code, I said "no", to which she responded "then that'll be $150.00". She didn't care what I was told on the phone, she didn't apologize for the misunderstanding, and she didn't offer any alternatives. She was stubborn and rude. At this point, I didn't want to contest her any further and chose to get my safety check and leave. But rest assured, this will be my last visit at this location, and any location where I find her at the front desk again. read more

Dragged my family to the appointment, arrived on time only to find out by a handwritten sign on the door that they are "Closed until further notice!" No courtesy call that they would be closed or no cancellation/rescheduled email. Tried to go to a different Goodyear location since this was the only day I had free before I give birth but they were fully booked and not taking walk ins.
