Edwin was very helpful when I went to AutoZone. I went in thinking my battery that I had just bought was the problem. When Edwin tested the battery he said it was healthy and it wasn't possible for it to be the battery. He then explained to me that it could been my alternator. So I went back to the mechanic and told him what Edwin had said and he was right! I went back to AutoZone and got an alternator. He was very patient and explained it very well to me. My wife and I went in to get a battery for her parents. While waiting in line she looked up what we needed and I went to get it. When I was walking back with the battery the assistant manager called next and that was us. When he asked what we needed I said a new battery and turn in the core. He actually rolled his eyes and looked at me as if I was drooling all over myself and said come on in a dismissive tone. As we walked up one of the employees was talking with a customer using the F word every other word. I'm an adult and have heard the word before but our six year old niece wasn't and hasn't. I've also worked at the front desk of an auto shop and never spoke that way while customers were in ear shot. That is acceptable out back in the garage. Good work on professionalism. Anyway the assistant manager was almost ecstatic that he felt we got the wrong battery. His attempt at an up sale began. And he was so happy trying to explain why it wouldn't work. He wasn't able to collect his thoughts and articulate them before I explained how and why batteries in cars work. And I said fine look up the correct battery and I will get it. He did and walked over with me and said only the first half of the type, and when I asked which one he actually exhaled like an adult speaking with a foolish child and harshly said "that one". I got it and walk behind him of course since he was in charge. We then spent the next 15 minutes while the assistant manager continued to flirt with my wife and gave so many discounts that we got the battery for less than what the smaller battery would have been total. Then when he was done he grabbed the battery acted as if he was going to hand me the battery and put it on the ground when I reached for it. The guy was a total prick from beginning to end. And seemed to have a problem with people that do not look like him. As I don't and my wife does. And yes he was very obvious about that. Also love how he's free with the company's profit margin. It worked out in our favor that is truthfully why we let him pull his crap. My wife and I were both brought up in the automotive business and we both have managed auto shops. We came in to get a bare minimum product to do a quick project and ended up with more than we needed for less than we should have paid for the cheaper item. But that still does not excuse the crap attitude. Combined with the unprofessional lack luster salesmanship. But that's what we've come to expect from autozone. read more

One of the best customer experience I had in a long time. I'm not sure the managers name but it was Friday Nov 27 around 8pm. The store manager save me so much money. I needed a key fob I thought I need to buy a replacement but he took apart my broken one fob and just figured out all I need was to replace the rubber inside. So instead of paying almost a hundred dollars. I walk out with a new battery and the rubber replacement for 20 bucks. Now a days its hard to find good customer service like this. I went to pick up my Subaru oil filter that I ordered online for pick up. April answered the phone when I called to ask if they had another one and she put it on hold for us. Very helpful from the start. When I arrived to pick up, my fiancé and I looked around for other items. We grabbed an oil pan, some gloves, wiper fluid, a funnel, and an oil wrench. When we got to the front April happened to help us again. I asked my fiancé if we should buy the shop towels, that's when April told us about the special for the things I was already purchasing that included the shop towels and the hand cleaner. She saved us some money, and we purchased a little more because of it. Great experience here with April. The store was clean, organized, and pretty easy to navigate. read more

I needed oil change on my 2015 CLA but couldn't find a filter anywhere except the dealership. Called this Autozone and they told me if I give them my credit card number they will order the filter and have it ready by the next morning at 8:00 AM. I placed the order, went in the next day at 10:00 AM. Waiting in line for 40 min. I have never waited that long at a cashier. They were all working very slow, on purpose because the line just kept getting longer and longer and they probably felt like there is no point of working quicker. Got to the cashier and they told me it was never ordered. Why would you tell me you ordered it and it will be there at 8:00 AM if they never ordered it? I even gave him my cell phone number in case anything changed. He told me he would call me when the filter is ready for pick up. I never got the call... HORRIBLE SERVICE. read more

I had a horrible experience at this autozone due to the demeanor of the manager Alfred. A young lady I believe her name was Janet was helping me out when the manager overheard and stopped and just told her No! With a very belittling tone. She immediately put her head down and took a step back. Which tells me that he does this often and she feels she can not speak up. So I will. He continued to try and speak to me with a belittling tone just because I did not understand the terminology he was using. When I didn't let myself his tone changed and became more helpful. He led me away to show me the item I needed. Janet called the next person in line to help them. He stopped walking, turned around and in front of about 3 employees and 6 customers loudly told her, " I'm helping YOU right now!" Once again belittling and embarrassing his employee in front of everyone. Where he could have easily said, " why don't you come with us so I can teach you for next time." I was so upset that this man thought that he could speak to his employee in this manner just because she was a female and probably hadn't been working there long and was still in the learning process. Just like he tried to do to me when he first interrupted us and began to help. I was so uncomfortable and upset and my entire experience here was horrible. I can not go back to a place where people are treated in this manner no matter the gender or knowledge they have. This place needs a manager that will teach its employees to be more knowledgeable not belittle them for not knowing. Which she did! He told me I needed the same part that the employee Janet had already told me I needed. Which meant he had no need to interrupt our conversation in the first place. I left this location so upset it ruined the rest of my day thinking about Poor Janet and the fact that she has to work under a man who treats her this way and feels it is right to do so. I just went to this location to purchase some parts with my mechanic for my BMW had to wait in line for about 15 to 20 minutes because the store was packed which I understand. But after we receive what we needed For my mechanic I asked if he can grab a couple extra things I needed for myself. The sales rep then informed me I would have to wait in line again because I am another person even though me and my mechanic came in together and we were purchasing everything at Once since I was going to pay for everything he needed as well. OK. First of all, I am aware that I am a female. However, that does not mean I do not know what I am talking about. I called AutoZone to ask for a very specific part, so the guy just said yeah we sell those and then tries to hang up with me. I stop him to ask him to make sure he has it for MY SPECIFIC car before I drive over there. He then tells me he has to check and puts me on hold (WITHOUT ASKING ME ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT MY CAR!) for 15 minutes! I drive over there because he said they have them (mind you, I'm waiting on hold the whole time as I'm driving just in case he picks up). I get there and he's helping someone at the register, I stand in line waiting to ask. The guy answers another call while Helping the guy, answers his question, then when the guy didn't answer his question he puts him on hold AND MAKES FUN OF THE GUY FOR NOT KNOWING THE ANSWER!! Now I know how it looked from his side when I called. First of all, I'm annoyed that I drove out and they didn't end up having the part like I had suspected, I'm annoyed that they treated me like I didn't know what I was talking about because I'm a young girl, and I'm annoyed that I had to see such terrible customer service. Manager is so lazy to help the new coworker get the screwdriver to help the client. Of all the AutoZone this place don't really care for their customers even in slow hour for them. I need badly to replaced my alarm battery for my car and explained that I need it since my alarm keeping going on if I used the key. I got the battery and asked if they could help replaced it for me since I always buy at AutoZone because they included the service. It was just an easy replacement battery alarm. But when new coworker asked the screwdriver from the manager (fat guy) he mentions they don't have a small screwdriver. Come on, you at AutoZone you don't have a small screwdriver. This is the best Auto Zone experience I've had so far! I always get super stressed and worried when it comes to car issues so Auto Zone has always been my go to. This time, my oil lamp light came on and I immediately brought it in to get more oil and to figure out how soon I'd need an oil change. Chris was the guy who helped me out today and he was absolutely amazing. He was very helpful and showed me how to check my oil and when I need to get it changed. While visiting the Pico Rivera location, I was assisted by Nick V that proceeded to check the battery in my vehicle and determined i needed a new one, he proceeded to look it up on the computer and unfortunately it stated that they did not have one in stock but he went above and beyond and found the last one in the back. He proceeded to replace the old one with the new one although it was getting dark out and visibility was minimal as it was pointed out by his manager. He went above and beyond his job and educating me on the new batteries warranty and details.
