Said they would send a replacement. Called later in week and no replacement ordered. As of this moment I haven't received the replacement. Worst customer experience I have had. Not getting the service I paid for. Tech support is a nightmare. I honestly think a one star rating is too kind.

Right after he left, service would intermittently cut out every 10 min or so for about 10-15 min. Imagine trying to watch a show or god forbid you work from home. I had to connect to my mobile hotspot and contacted frontier to have them help fix the issue. That's the second issue: Customer service is so incredibly aggravating. They use an AI chatbot that is worthless. And the app itself crashes while waiting to connect to an actual agent. The agent scheduled me for the upcoming Saturday. But...he scheduled the wrong date. I checked in on Thursday to confirm they were coming on Saturday because i got a text message saying they were scheduled for Friday. He assured me more than once that it was indeed scheduled for Saturday. Tech shows up on Friday and I'm not home. Wtf. And because I work during the week, I'll have to wait another week for a Saturday appointment? I think not. NEXT! My circumstances might not be yours but just be advised that you won't have access to efficient customer service if you have an issue. It seems pretty cut and dry. You pay for service and should have an expectation of receiving just the basic service. I don't need anything special. Now I am just going to cancel and hope they reverse charges for service I never received.

Let me first apologize for stupidly remaining a customer of DIRECTV since 2019 & paying their…read moreHORRIFIC monthly bill for a whole lot of NOTHING.....as my husband watches only TCM & none of their other offered garbage. And second, for being so STUPID for having the account set for auto pay! Stupid aside, I put this account into "vacation mode" on 6/24/25 w/direction from the DIRECTV rep to"Call back when I want to resume service". So, without a call from me, DIRECTV resumed my service 3/21/26 then sent me a bill for $309.83 eating into a credit of $118.82 that set on their books for their use for 9mos leaving a bill of $191.01 that they charged to my Visa unknown to me on 4/27. I discovered this disaster today 5/5 and sat on the phone w/3 Directv reps for 2 hrs trying to reason with them that their rep left it very open ended with... "Call us when you want to resume" but that they aren't willing to honor that rep's arrangement. And the kicker is.....their equipment doesn't even work! My husband tried it and it's DEAD IN THE WATER! So, even if we had wanted to resume service, there isn't a way to do so with their non-working equipment. I am LIVID! DIRECTV STOLE OUR $118.82 CREDIT BALANCE! PLUS REINSTATED UNWANTED/UNASKED FOR SERVICE AT $165.+/mo! PLUS TELLING ME THAT THEY "SENT A LETTER OR EMAIL (though which they don't know) STATING THEY WERE RESUMING SERVICE". No, they did NOT! PLUS LEFT US WITH NON-WORKING JUNK TELLING ME IT IS "MY PROBLEM TO GET RID OF IN WHATEVER WAY I SEE FIT......SMASHING IT WITH A SLEDGE HAMMER IF I CHOOSE TO DO SO" per JOY -supervisor. WHAT A TERRIBLE OVER-PRICED COMPANY THAT ALLOWS THEIR PEOPLE TO MISREPRESENT AND TELL LIES! The "funny" thing to me is....had I called up and asked for "CUSTOMER RETENTION DEPT" under the guise of wishing to continue service for a monthly cost reduction, they would've happily done that yet JOY a supervisor claimed she had "no power to reduce or waive that unanticipated charge". Such FALSEHOOD! So, what I get out of doing business with DIRECTV is a whole lot of Nothing but FRUSTRATION! What DIRECTV gets is my frustration put in print for all would-be or present DIRECTV customers to reflect upon because you, too may find yourself at the short end of their pointed stick! Please BEWARE OF DIRECTV! They are probably the worst company I have encountered in a long time! I ONLY WISH I COULD LEAVE A NEGATIVE STAR RATING FOR THEM AS ONE IS WAAAAAAY TOO GOOD!

He is so patient and kind in his explanation (not all of us are tech savvy) he also went 100% above and beyond for us in helping to ensure our event had the connectivity we needed to be successful. I'm usually willing to give people a benefit of the doubt, but honestly, I should trust my gut more…read morewhen there are multiple red flags from the start. I reached out to Empire Satellites Inc after looking online for someone to install my new Starlink dish. Chris responded promptly via text from a different number (red flag number one). Quoted a price for the install - $349, which I thought was reasonable. Set up an appointment for the same day at 2:30pm. At 3:00 get a text that he we will be "couple of hours late" (red flag number two). OK, no problem. Finally shows up at 6:10pm. Started to look around the house to find a good location to mount the dish. Settle on a tall side gable (single story house), but his ladder is only 18', so he says that that's as high as he can mount it, not at the gable apex. Not ideal, but OK. Casually mentions that he charges an extra $100 for the "attic work" (major red flag number three). As if most people expect to have wires hanging on their exterior walls? I don't argue, but at this point I am really expecting to see stellar work quality, above and beyond attention to detail. This is where things really go to shit. Chris gets up to the facia and starts mounting the dish in a mount that I provided. I am looking from below and clearly can see that the mount is not plumb and is wobbling, as he puts three lugnut screws through the facia. He assures me that it is plenty stable. Red flag number four. Drills a hole through the wall for the cable and goes inside the house to fish for it in the attic. In the meantime, I get up the ladder and take a picture of the mount. It is clearly not fully bolted to the facia, with one of the bolts screwed at a 45 degree angle. The thing wobbles like crazy. Thirty minutes later, and two more holes in the ceiling plate from the attic, the cable is still not down to the final location, despite the fact that 5 extra ethernet cables were routed through the same wall from the attic by my electrician a few weeks before. Chris offers to surface mount the wire to the wall in the finished pantry room - ugliest, laziest install ever. Red flag number five. This is when I say "that's enough" and kick him out of my house. He is genuinely surprised when I offer to pay him only $250 for the horrendous job he did, and not the full $450 he was expecting. Before he leaves, he blames me for providing a bad mount for the dish, and tries to upsell his own mount for $100. Unbelievable. I have worked with dozens of subs int he last two years while building my house, and know my way around tools and trades. This was one of the worst experiences. The guy has the worst work ethic and zero integrity.
