Got a matcha latte and cannoli. The matcha latte was not good. It tasted like straight milk. I was pretty disappointed since it was almost 6 dollars. The cannoli was okay, it was really hard though. Kinda hurt my mouth to eat. Not a ton of flavor either. The staff were really nice and the service was fast. I don't see the big hype here though. I will try again in the future

My fav study place! Shout out to Joules (I hope I spelled that right). Best sandwich maker there and makes the london fog just right! Good place to lock in for some studies !

Overall I would give this place a 3.5. I think a lot of their pull and traffic is due to their location - right by the MAX station, big open space with lots of seating, and all the apartment buildings above and around the area. And to be honest, I have a hunch that people who didn't want to wait for La Provence next door might opt for a quick coffee and breakfast here as well - that's just my speculation. I came here for the first time to meet a friend on a Saturday after the snow has melted a little bit and parked in the parking garage. They did have high chairs and a water station so that was nice. The whole place was very spacious and had many seating options. I was happy to have a corner window table so we have more space for the toddlers which was very nice. Ordering was very straight forward, they had waves of people coming in during the time we were there. Probably based on the MAX schedule. They had many pastries to choose from, including muffins (around $3 each), and some croissants, cake slices, and other pastries. I personally thought they were a bit high in price for these items, like $6-$8 each. Now the drinks, my friend got their famous Dark Chocolate Mocha which she really enjoyed, but my cold brew was a little watered down, which was disappointing. Service was average and you have to ask for the code for the bathroom (which is understandable based on location) Overall this is a cute shop and I'm sure it's some people's go-to. For me it's just OK but it's a great location to hang out and people watch lol

Good place to meet up with friends, not a great place to study (at least on the weekends) because it gets crowded and loud. Sometimes it's hard to find a table. The line was really long in the morning and it took me ~20 minutes to order. The wifi was reliable which was a plus. I ordered an iced dirty chai which was really good, the chai flavor was sharp and strong. I also got a blueberry muffin which was solid as well. The drinks are a bit on the pricier side, my chai was around $5. I saw other people around me order their lunch sandwiches which looked tasty! Would come back and try one.

Was excited to find this location because it opened earlier than other coffee shops in the area. I just wanted a quick cup of brewed coffee so that's all I got. Loved the outdoor space and truly enjoyed the coffee, will definitely be back. Did not get food this time but the next day went to a different Ava's and the food was very good. Will probably get something the eat with my coffee next time I'm in the area

I'm disappointed. We haven't been here in awhile but went tonight and got two cupcakes and got home and they were hard and definitely old and not good, so we threw them away. We definitely wasted our money today and last time we came in had the same experience about 6 months ago and second time same experience so we won't be back. Friendly staff though, just old not good cupcakes.

I came here because I got word of their cakes being worth a try. I came in and noticed the normal precautions for covid: sign on door, markings on ground, one way traffic, etc. The only thing, and it might just be my unease, is all your typically coffee shop dwellers were casually maskless even without eating or having a visually drink or food. It might of been just extreme coincidence but I doubt it. On to the cakes. I tried four different flavors just to get an idea of the spread of flavors they had. I gotta say, each was very good. They were all pretty dense, aside from the strawberry cream, so each bite was very filling and satisfying with flavor. The chocolate cake had the right sweetness and chocolate flavor to be that poster child chocolate cake. The raspberry ganache cake had a pretty strong espresso flavor which I could've done with alittle less of but overall was a stellar cake. The raspberry filling was thick enough that it wasn't overpowered by the ganache and espresso flavor. The strawberry cream was very light and the carrot cake had a lot of nuts.

Ava's gets 5 stars for their sandwiches. They make the best coffee shop sandwiches I've had in my opinion. The aioli and pesto are game changers. This is a great place to hangout study and work. Free wifi, lots of seating, indoor and outdoor. Many drink options on the menu to choose from. In college this was my go to place to study with friends. Lots of good memories at all the Ava locations.

I usually very picky about hot chocolate and I can easily say this was one of the best! By the time I finished more than half of it I felt like the drink was too sweet, so I would recommend you to order a small ;)

I came here for lunch and something sweet. I got a turkey sandwich (turkey, cheese, tomato). I got the sandwich toasted and it was okay. Unfortunately, they were out of spinach and had no lettuce. They have a little bakery. I heard their cupcakes are good, but they were sold out. So I got a piece of carrot cake and a piece of strawberry whip cream cake to go, and I was very disappointed. strawberry whip cream cake tasted like straight butter and it was dry. I could eat half of it before I threw it away. The carrot cake was VERY dry. And the icing was hard. I had 2 bites and threw that away.

Very nice workers and the drinks were delicious! My favorites are the iced hot chocolate and the iced green peach tea lemonade.

They have an amazing selection of fresh breads, rolls, cookies, muffins, seasonal specials and so much more! It's a small space but you can see everyone working hard in the back baking away. I always knew about this little bread making factory, but now I finally get what the hype is all about. Here's a few little reasons as to what makes this place "Great!" * Parking Situation * It's next to a Safeway, so plenty of spaces for parking. People come and go, so front row parking is usually obtainable. * Dining Expectations * First of all, they're a tiny shop, and there's only one long stand-up table against the window. So basically, no 'sit-down' dining. If you're grabbing lunch, you can also expect a lunch line due to its popularity. Sometimes the line can be out the door. * The Harvest Offerings * What impressed me most, was walking in with a warm welcome from the staff, and being offered a slice of bread to sample. They even offer some of their buttery spreads you can spread on it too. And it happens with every visit! Here's a few sandwiches I've tried: ~ Classic Turkey (1/2 sandwich, $6) made with their garlic cheddar bread. A simple sandwich with lettuce, tomatoes, slices of turkey, mayo, and Tillamook cheddar. It's that soft bread that made it all so yummy. ~ Tuna Salad Sandwich (whole, $10), and I gotta say their tuna ain't so bad either. Not heavy on the dill flavor, but flavorful and filling enough. I had this on their wheat bread, and I'd say they make a tasty whole wheat! ~ Other favorites I've tried, their Club sando with Turkey slices and bacon. And their BLTA with avocado of course. Both are just yummy classics. Yes, I'd say their offerings are basic sandwiches, but really you gotta experience this place just because of the bread alone. They do have a display case full of pastries like their breakfast bun with egg, two types of cinnamon rolls, two types of bread pudding, brownies, scones, muffins, and various types of cookies. Look behind you and they've got a shelf with 'Day old cookies' that are still sweet to eat! But in closing, come here for the samples, come here for the sandos, come here for the pastries! What more can you ask for? (Well, I did ask if they can toast the bread for my sando, but they said they cannot. I get it. Just thought I'd ask lol).

After grabbing a cheesesteak from East Coast Eddie's, I can definitely say I love them! You get service with a smile and quick too. I ordered the original with provolone, came with fries. The sandwich itself was sizable, lots and lots of meat, peppers, onions and melty cheese. The meat was seasoned perfectly, and tender with crispy edges. Yummers!! The pile of fries was enormous! I normally don't like thick cut fries. These were great --- fully cooked through with a good crunch outside and good potato flavor throughout. They appeared to be hand cut. Right amount of salt, not greasy. In fact, I took half home and air fried them for lunch the next day. Very little oil on the surface and crisped up nicely. Judging by the other reviews, Eddie's is apparently the real deal and high quality for a cheesesteak. All I know is this food was really good and reasonably priced.
